Dont let the size or location of this place fool you. My gf and I stopped by because we were looking for a nearby place to grab a small bite before heading over to Huntley Meadows. We were very fortunate to stumble on this place. The Argentinian woman who runs this place is absolutely welcoming and friendly. She took the time to walk us through the large selection of pastries and even insisted that we had a taste of one of the vanilla ones before we decided. But what really sold this place was the empanadas. They were HEAVENLY. We were eating them in the parking lot before our morning walk and after the first bite, we knew we needed to come back for more (which we did). If were ever in this area again, were definitely stopping by. You should too.

I just discovered the place 2 weeks ago so I can only base my review in two visits. Both time, the empanadas were delicious. No, hard crunchy crust here. Dough is light with just the right amount of flakiness and crunch. The beef empanada and spinach empanada were the best, although all were tasty. At $2.00 a piece, you can afford to experiment to see what you really like. Both times I finished up with a cappuccino and a pastry. The drink was solid and the pastries were excellent. Again, experiment. The prices allow that. The owner is very accommodating and friendly especially with first-timers who could be overwhelmed with unfamiliar foods.

Doesnt look like much from the outside (in an unassuming storefront in a Days Inn parking lot on Route 1), but a total diamond in the rough! The owner is a very sweet and friendly lady from Argentina who, upon hearing it was my fiancee and my first time visiting, walked us through the menu and patiently answered questions and made suggestions. She even gave us a free pastry ("fractura") to try! We ended up buying a whole box of pastries for just around $10! They were absolutely fantastic - not too sweet and perfectly flakey - and the price was amazing. We will definitely be going back to try out their lunchtime offerings :)

Oh lord, what a treasure! Pastries to die for, authentic Argentinian empanadas with meat free options. But they are all delicious. And the lady at the counter is the nicest person. They have reasonably priced cakes, they have pizza, cannelloni, pasta. I will definitely be going back to try them. Its in the Days Inn building so dont overlook it. If I could give 6 stars I would. Go here.

Sandra is very nice and welcoming, and her food is AMAZING!!! Im from Miami and my mom is Argentinean, so my family and I are used to have access to anything Argentinean at every turn in Miami. We live in Richmond now, and we miss that now that we dont have it! hahaha We drive almost 2hrs at least once a month to Tango Pastries to satisfy our taste buds!

The "facturas" (pastries) are THE BEST EVER!!! All their deserts are outstanding, really. Delicious is just the beginning. The ladies are friendly and you can see that they work really hard. The location may not attract your attention, but once inside is a paradise for the sweet tooth. They also have other foods. Highly highly recommended!

I used Tango Pastry for catering for a party of 40. My guests were very impressed by the quality of the food, and they especially liked the empanadas, pionono primavera, and finger pastries. Sandra was responsive and easy to work with when I was deciding on the menu. I highly recommend Tango Pastry and I will use them again for future parties.

Went there for the first time today and ordered the milanesa a caballo it was delicious saved some for my dog so I could enjoy the factura pastry. The food was great but Mrs Sandra is such of a lovely woman I felt like I was at home eating there I would recommend this place to anyone

Delicious food, so fresh and so tasty! I e-mail my order in advance to make sure they have what I want, and they always have my order ready when I arrive - The empanadas, arrollados, masitas, and chaja cake are excellent, just like the facturas!
