Great variety of products for sale from a wide variety of places including Germany, Italy, and mid-east. The staff if extremely friendly and helpful, and the prepared food is great. Get there before noon to ensure you can get pita chips w/garlic or zatar as they sell out fast but always ask if you dont see something as they have more in the back usually. And to the rip off reviews, compared to crap hummus youd get from Safeway sure its about $1 more but people complain about lack of small shops and big box stores marginalizing authenticity and culture well its more expensive for smaller businesses.

Really tasty fresh-baked pita bread! I picked some up that were still warm... The grocery section is really well stocked with some hard to find Arabic spices, dates and accessories. The cold deli section is pretty awesome. The tabbouleh is on point as are the dolmas. There is a take out restaurant in the shop as well. I ordered a shish tawook sandwich and it was a little underwhelming but had a nice grilled flavor. There was quite a long wait considering I only ordered a sandwich though. But, overall its a worthwhile stop and is the best Mediterranean deli Ive found yet in NoVA.

This little eatery is nestled within Ann unassuming strip mall and doesnt look special from the outside; however, inside you will find a phenomenal assortment of Mediterranean ingredients, meats, cheeses, and pastries at superb price points. There is also a restaurant counter for ordering hot food. Though there menu is somewhat small, the food is phenomenal. This is my go-to place for gyros in the region. To top it all off, the staff here is super friendly and helpful. And as I said, there is no way youll beat their prices. Highest recommendation I can provide.

While visiting the Washington DC area,I stopped by to purchase Armenian food which my friend and I planned to serve at home for dinner. We chose a number of different main dish items, olives and other appetizers, and dessert pastries. All tasted fresh, delicious and authentic! In addition, the service at Mediterranean Bakery was excellent. For example, a sales person just happened to notice I was purchasing a jar of whole Mahlep spice. She immediately offered to grind it for my convenience. I would definitely recommend this wonderful bakery to my friends.

I went to day at Mediterranean Bakery just to pick up some pita bread , the shelves were empty I requested to have 5 bag of white and 4 bag of whole wheat. Older lady behind the counter said; whole wheat isnt ready yet. Than I went to pay for my order and that same lady went off on me that I should not have that many bread, what we are going to give for the other customer. Than she said we are not making any money on that bread. Is that a customers problem?

Amazing people and family run! I try to go every other weekend with my family (they always remember my kids names and what they like). They are ready and willing to answer my questions when I dont know a specific food or how to use it in a recipe (ask for Zara). One weekend I forgot to order tabbouleh (my husbands favorite) and without even asking they got it from the refrigerator for me. Thank you!!!

This is a really cool local place cafe-grocery-bakery with unique stuff. Its a bit on the pricey side, but the food they offer is all cooked on site, not frozen re-heats. I usually order the spinach pizza and its a good buy. You have to wait a bit for the order. If you like hot sauce selections, this place is un-rivaled.

Love this place for yummy lunch kebabs or shish tawook. Great selection of condiments ranging from vinegars, oils, and hot sauces as well as Mediterranean staples like olives, stuffed grape leaves, and baklava. Slow service but good prices and great selection. Have frequented many times and would certainly go back again!

if this is what you call a "bakery"?? all they have is naan or pita bread. no rolls, baguettes, bread loafs, etc.. I know they eat these bread types in the Medit. region, so why arent they made in this store that you call a "bakery"?

The most delicious fresh pita bread in the D.C. area. We get 5 bags, put in freezer, then heat what we need and it comes out as if it was fresh from the bakery! Large selection of Arab/Mediterranean foods, some home made, but pricey.

A very mediterranean touch with tasty and healthy food. I recommend this place if youre used to places that dont have the American standard. You will find every type of food from countries around the Mediterranean sea.

One of the few places where you can get decent Pita bread. The store in general has almost everything a middle-eastern may need. Some items are a little over priced compared to other stored that carry them.

They have a great mixture of groceries from the Levant and South Asia! If youre a tea drinker, check out their selection from Sri Lanka, Lebanon, China, in addition to some of Britains best brands.

Chicken, rice, hummus and tabbouleh plate. The tabbouleh was not as strong tasting as Im used too. I feel like the salad was old and too sour. Everything else was good. Good price for all the food.

While their hot food is nothing to rave about, I love their kibbeh and their mini pastries (spinach -stuffed, tomatoes and labnah, and the minced lamb) - the pastries are purchased individually.

Hidden gem. Dozens of various baked goods are fresh, flavoful, and baked in house. Small Mediterranean grocery store with a bakery and Mediterranean restaurant.

Reasonable food, reasonable selection, reasonable price. Not much to make this place stand out from a number of other Mediterranean markets/cafes in the area.
