I have eaten pizza from around the world; throughout Europe, Central America, and all across the entire country I call home. Guss pizza, with his secret dough and sauce recipes and just the right mix of motz and cheddar, is rivaled only by, but not surpassed by, a small no name pizza joint in the secluded village of Riomaggiore on the west coast of Italy. This place was accessible by boat or by foot only, all the way up until the late 1980s. I must say, the only things that makes the Riomaggiore pizza a close second, are the view of the Ligurian Sea and its similarity to the pizza found at Pizza Chef in the small secluded town of Windsor, VT. Keep it up Gus, Ill keep traveling 3,000 miles for a slice.

Pizza chef was a great stop for us traveling through VT. Great service and great thick pizza (the specialty pizzas are fantastic). It looks like the place has not been updated for a few decades, but it has the charm of a pizza place from the 70 or 80s...that is how I remember them as a kid in NJ, especially since Pizza Chef still has arcade games! They also have a small tap selection with local VT beers like harpoon and switchback. Whether you are passing through, staying around the small town, or coming from Harpoon Brewery, you should definitely stop in Pizza Chef during your time in Windsor.

Windsor Pizza Chef is an institution and the busiest place in town. Great pizza, reasonably priced. Other dishes are pretty good too, but not fancy. On Friday or Saturday nights theres usually a line of people waiting to order or pick up, so call your order in ahead. Small game room includes a pool table, 4 game machines (bowling, driving, etc) to keep the kids entertained. Serves beer and wine. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The owner is a great guy.

Pizza Chef is exactly what a hometown Pizza place should be. Nothing fancy, not too expensive, good food. The staff is generally friendly and the owner is fresh out of central casting, if a little grumpy. The decor is tired (paneling, lots of beer neon and 70s orange booths) but it works for this place and this town and its always clean. They dont deliver, but their service is fast. Salads are iceberg lettuce and the pizza is greasy - perfect.

Only 3 stars due to bathroom cleanliness and what my wife experienced. The food is amazing but a heavy set black haired woman that works there or affiliated with the restaurant (she was behind the counter) leaves the bathroom with pee on the seat and didnt flush.. this happened twice to my wife after using it after this one person. She is for sure affiliated with the restaurant. Learn how to clean up after yourself. Gross

All the food Ive had from Pizza Chef has been very decent quality. Prices are very average. Dining area and bathrooms are usually clean but arcade/ pool table area seems neglected and dirty and the bar area is dead/unused. Always a good enough value to remain the only pizza place in downtown Windsor.

very good food,pizza crust is the best which makes the pizza delicious. The subs are awesome wide variety to pick from. The steak and cheese with just a little bit of the hot relish and toasted is great. Staff is very friendly, great family setting.

Great place to take a family for an inexpensive meal. Employees are always helpful and are attentive to your needs. Say hi to Gus the owner and try some of his specialty pizzas, they are great.
