It is not called "Thyme," not "Tip Top cafe." We called ahead to check and they claimed they could make a vegan meal for someone with an eggplant allergy. I ended up with about 3/4 of a zucchini, ~4 small pieces of tomato, and ~1/2 cup of plain, unsalted, unseasoned white rice. I could see other plates with beets, asparagus, potatoes, lettuce, some nice grains (maybe barley?). In future, either dont claim you can make a vegan meal, or actually make a MEAL, not a side dish. The waitress checked in too briefly to notice me trying to get her attention in hopes of getting more food.

My wife and I went here cause it had good reviews and it wasnt the same old Applebees or ninety nine. When I saw the menu I was upset cause I didnt think I was going to like anything they had. But I settled down and ordered the special which was a fancy burger. OMG! I was utterly stunned at how delicious it all was. The crispy fries are absolutely amazing. Never had better fries. Would go back in a heart beat. I left here with a better appreciation of food in general. I tried a few things I would not normally eat and now I want more. Tiptop Cafe is a must if your in the area.

We ate here on a colleagues recommendation before attending a play at Northern Stage. Our service was exceptional, the dishes exquisite, the presentation inspired, the drink offerings imaginative — even when measured against high-end metropolitan standards. Wow. This was the best dining experience weve had in the Upper Valley. The physical layout and ambiance are comfortable yet classy — not pretentious.

food was good. steak was good with mash potatoes that tasted like mash potatoes should taste. the fries were really good although a bit spicy. the dumpling you can pass on. and the salmon was ok but a bit overcooked. pasta was eat able but the service was poor. they forgot our salmon and the fact we asked for a salad (the only starter) and when asked for butter we got more water....

Stopped in with my hubby while the kids were with the grandparents. The service was great; attentive but not obtrusive. The food was amazing; filling but not heavy. The price was fair as well- the portions were decent size and we spent under $30 including 2 lunches and amazing crispy fries with garlic aioli. I would come back again and again.

Disappointing. We went to Tip Top for lunch when an acquaintance recommended it. Fine. But last night for dinner - blah. Two ordered the lamb "top". "Top" is code for tough. Salmon was boring, lentils with the salmon were beyond boring. Service was SLOW. A shame - it looks nice, but really didnt deliver.

This place caters to tourists with deep pockets. It does not cater to locals. The prices here are astronomical considering the quality of the food. Theyve got Route 66 diner quality food and are charging gourmet 5 diamond prices. The service is fast and friendly, though.

Excellent! The service was phenomenal which isnt so easy to find these days. The portions are perfect for one to eat a bunch of apps......like I did! Wow. A definite must if you are in the area or passing by on 89 or 91. Come here to eat real good food!
