We have been visiting the Brick Oven Pizza in Provo for years and years and we were excited when they finally built a location in Salt Lake County. Unfortunately, the service at the South Jordan location is awful. In a two week period, we had three negative experiences. First, on June 1, 2013 we had a pizza delivered to our home in Draper. After over an hour wait, we called to see where the pizza was, and we were told the driver got lost and it would be there soon. Waiting an hour and a half for food we were told would take 30-45 minutes? The pizza finally arrived. It was cold and almost inedible. Our salads and garlic cheese bread never made it. Okay, no one is perfect, lets give them another chance... On June 14, 2013 we decided to send a pizza to my mom as a thank you for watching our baby on date night. We arranged to have the pizza delivered to her house. We paid for the pizza and gratuity ahead of time. We were told the pizza would be delivered to her house in Sandy in 30 to 45 minutes. An hour and a half later, the driver called and said he was in South Jordan and couldnt find the address. When the driver finally delivered the (cold) pizza to my mom, he demanded payment for the pizza and tip. Being an older, she doesnt have much cash around the house and gave hime what she could find. He scoffed at her and said, "this isnt much of a tip, is it?" and left. We called the store and they refunded her money. Strike two. On June 15, 2013, we decided top give these guys one last chance. At 2:12PM we placed an order. We were told our order would be delivered in 30-45 minutes. After an hour and half (3:42PM), I called the store and spoke with Patrick. He said apparently our order had been lost and it never was inputed. He apologized and passed me off to a manager named Travis. Travis also apologized and said they would make our order and it would be delivered in 30 minutes. At 4:44PM (after an additional hour) I called and spoke with Travis again. I told him we still had not received our order and if it wasnt close we would need to feed our hungry family somewhere else. After putting me on hold, he told me they were unable to get a hold of the driver and they had no idea when or if the food would arrive. Finally, at 5:08PM the order was delivered. Just under THREE HOURS after we first placed our order, the pizza was delivered, cold and unappetizing. The level of incompetence of this restaurant is inexcusable. Do yourself a HUGE favor and DO NOT EVER eat at, nor order delivery from BRICK OVEN PIZZA. Not one, but THREE AWFUL EXPERIENCES over a three week period.

My daughter and I decided to go to Brick Oven for a Daddy/Daughter date because we both like pasta and pizza. Everything started off well. Our waitress was very responsive, perhaps too responsive, but I can forgive that. I would rather have to brush off the waitress repeatedly with "everything is great" than to have the problem where I dont exist and I never see the person again until the check. We both essentially ordered all you can eat and I also added the pizza sampler for $2 more. The sampler was disappointing because I only was offered different pizzas 3 times (3 small slices) and towards the end of the meal I had to ask what was going on. That eventually got the guy out to offer me the same pizza I already had. It wasnt until the meal was done (I was done) that I started seeing different pizzas that I would have like to have tried. When trying to get help at the pasta bar, I usually had to wait a bit and was ignored by the group of employees at the front socializing. Although the pizza seemed to be in short supply, they kept giving me overly toasty bread when I didnt ask for it or said I didnt want it. I thought the fettucini alfredo was pretty good. I had about a half cup of it left on my plate at the end of the meal when I asked for a to go box. I was told that it is company policy that all you can eat items cannot be taken home. Well that may be company policy made by some tightwad corporate idiot in response to some people who abuse the system, but they need to add something else into their calculation. There are people like me who dont like being treated like a criminal or abuser and who dont take kindly to essentially being told "we would rather throw away that food on your plate, that you paid nearly $20 for then to let you take the leftovers home to eat tomorrow for lunch". Well I dont like that policy and I dont like seeing food going to waste, especially not food that I already paid for so I wont be going back. There are reasons that companies like Amazon or Walmart are as big as they are and part of that reason is exceptional customer service. Whoever made the policy at Brick Oven needs to read a book called the Nordstrom Way. Customer service is almost non existent now days with the company always being right and the customer left to go take a hike if they dont like the way things run.

Im never really one to write a bad review, but this place was terrible! If possible, I would have given it a 0 star review. My husband and I went down to the area to go to Tsunami sushi (a wonderful restaurant, by the way) and my husband saw Brick Oven Pizza and recalled how it "USED TO BE" good. Unfortunately, we decided to go here instead. Im now wishing I could have at least looked over the reviews before going. It was absolutely horrendous... From the overall meal and prices to the creepy staff. My husband ordered the "all you can eat" something or another, that comes with all you can eat pizza and desert. I got the soup and salad. I was not impressed with the options they had, and overall it was pretty bland. My husband on the other side, had an even worse experience. The pizza was very comparable to CARDBOARD, and they served tiny little slices; like the kind you would get from a 1.99 frozen pizza. It was very disgusting and nothing youd expect to pay for. He also tried their "cookie pizza" for desert. It was extremely dry and tough. He then proceeded (I kid you not) to throw up upon leaving. He was sick for the rest of the night. I felt disgusted giving them our money in return for their faulty food. On top of that, one of the servers kept staring at us throughout the entire meal. I understand gradual glances or a greeting, but this guy just starred directly at me with an angry expression throughout our entire meal. Ive never had such a terrible dining experience in Utah before Brick Oven Pizza in South Jordan. I will always recommend to stay far away from this place!

Needs to be put under new management. I havent been to the Brick Oven in several years. My Provo Brick Oven experience is the best pizza experience Ive ever had. I placed a carry out order because I wanted to see the quality of this new location before I take friends and family there. I talked to a woman named Holly who tells me that it will take 15 to 20 minutes for my order to be ready. I wait 10 minutes before leaving so I can arrive without waiting. I dont take the freeway from 8000 South to 10600 South so it takes more time, again, so I dont have to wait for my order. When I arrive I notice the supervisor or manager is named Holly and she takes my money for my order while 5 other people stand around doing nothing. I sit there for 20 minutes with maybe only 1 other guest coming to the counter Im watching Holly and her interaction with her fellow employees and she seems a little unprofessional, Im trying hard not to get mad because I want this experience to be good. I know that Holly didnt actually have my order cooked until I arrived which upsets me. She offered me refreshments while I wait but that doesnt make up for her poor decision to delay my order. Most likely shes concerned about someone placing an order then not showing up to pay for it. The bottom line for a company is important but the customer experience should be more important. Brick Oven also used to have these really awesome pizzas that were 2 inches thick, I dont see them on the menu anymore. Guess thats what happens when a good restaurant becomes a link in a corporate chain.
