Where to start? It took an unusually long time to receive the menu after we were seated. We should have known from then that it was a sign how the night would go. We placed our drink orders and were told the server would be right with us. Another 10 minutes went by. We were then told that the beer that one of our guests had ordered was unavailable, yet it was on the menu still. He ordered a second choice. That, too, was unavailable. We finally placed our food order. And 100 minutes later we still didnt have our food. Yes, that really says 100 minutes. Between the time we had been seated and finally said something, we had been there for exactly two hours. I asked to pay for what we ate and to skip the rest. It was time for us to leave. They apologized and offered to pay for everything on the house (except alcohol). Great, well accept that kind offer. Then we received the alcohol bill. It had everything on it still. They gave us our food to go (another 15 minutes later) and as we were leaving they did give us a gift certificate "to try us again" but that didnt even cover half of what they offered to cover. We arrived home and went to eat our to-go food. Our medium-well steaks were more like medium-rare and were largely worthless, un-edible fat. For this type of money, something like Glitretind at Stein Eriksen is way nicer, better selection, better service, and even more affordable. Unfortunately, this is the second "try us again" trip weve had at La Caille and it gets worse each visit. Ill give it a two instead of a one based on a nice location and the staff was nice when they came around.

As a family we decided to treat all of our mothers to a fabulous meal at La Caille for Mothers Day. Unfortunately we were very disappointed by the quality and variety that were offered. The options presented were very limited, consisting of a few selections of meat (prime rib, pork loin and roasted chicken) with what appeared to be no vegetables and only breakfast potatoes as a starch. While the cuisine was relatively tasty, it was a far cry from what I expect at a fine dining restaurant. In addition to the "fair" options for the buffet, the service was very lax. Perhaps I expected to much. With a 20% gratuity automatically included, and buffet pricing that rivals many 5 star resorts Sunday brunch prices, I expect, quality, variety and exceptional service. Not a table, incompletely set, variety missing and servers that we had to hunt for to get drink refills or plates cleared. As a whole, I believe that my family was satisfied with the experience, but there was a definite lack of enthusiasm about the experience. Unfortunately as a whole, we, 2 grandmothers, 3 mothers, a grandfather, and 3 fathers, would not choose to do this again. Our time, and money would be better spent elsewhere.

My husband surprised me by taking me here. I would never have agreed to something so expensive otherwise. I am one of the most cheap/frugal people I know. I even wash my plastic baggies. With that being said we ended up spending about $200 and it was worth every penny. It was worth every penny because the food was absolutely to die for. My favorite thing to do is eat delicious food. If food isnt delicious I wont eat it. The food was heavenly! It was like a symphony in my mouth with every bite. When I realized what restaurant my husband was taking me to I told him we could never do this again. After eating there I told him we needed to come back at least every year and maybe bring some of our friends/family who also love good food. The ambiance was beautiful! The beautiful main entrance gates and the swam were just the tip of the iceberg. When we went in I felt as though I really was in France. Every aspect of the restaurant was meticulously thought about and executed with precision. This is my new favorite place to eat and cant wait to go back!

Ive been to La Caille a couple of times, most recently about a month ago. This last time was pretty good. The food is quite good. We really enjoyed the meals we had. My wife loved the Seafood Fumee. Our desert was quite small and unimpressive. The grounds are very beautiful and its really enjoyable to sit outside and just enjoy the evening. Taking a walk around the grounds is also very enjoyable. We happened to be there on a night that they had a wedding scheduled and it was actually quite disruptive and hard to really relax and enjoy your meal. The wedding guests were quite loud and were frequently walking right past our table. Had I known there was going to be a wedding with 200 guests walking through, I would have not come and got reservations for another night or for another restaurant. I wish La Caille would have at least disclosed the wedding to me when I made the reservations so I could have decided if I wanted to brave the dinner with 200 guests or not.

I visited here on two occasions back to back. The first time I was truly unimpressed by the food. It lacks the "you cant get this anywhere else" quality that you expect when going to a restaurant like this. Additionally, I am always baffled by their seating practices. They have an entire dining area open, but choose to sit you right next to the only other party in the whole space. Not only that, but its on the edge of space so its cold and uncomfortable. Then when they bring a space heater to help, it only makes things smell musty. My second visit was for a company party. The venue worked, bit it seemed like they overbooked themselves with too many parties that night because the wait staff looked like they were barely keeping their head above water. The food on this occasion was mediocre at best (except for the hot chocolate). Basically, La Caille seems to be banking on their location and atmosphere and has let everything else slide.

I have totally enjoyed my 4 times to La Caille. I appreciate the seasonal change of menus. 5 of us did the Saturday brunch outside since the summer weather was perfect! We so enjoyed the unlimited mini croissants! We each chose a different breakfast entry and relished them all, by doing the uncool thing of sharing bites! Delightful. Our group has come for desserts and LOVED them, as we shared. Bananas Foster was my most favorite! Loved the yummy flaming sauce! My daughter and her husband celebrated their 15th anniversary there and thoroughly appreciated the service, food and ambiance. The valets, hostesses, waiters, workers made us feel welcome and special, even though we came a couple of times in very casual clothes. I recommend LaCaille whenever I can for the special occasions, and on spur of the moment for dessert or appetizers!
