What a disappointment. This restaurant is at a great corner (15&15) and looks very inviting on a snowy winter evening. The decor is not inspired but warm and enough to put you in the mood for a cozy dinner. The menu is intriguing even if a little contrived ("poulet chicken?") And thats where the fun ends. For what they charge, and what the menu promises, it takes a while to realize that the food is a little better than fresh out of a can... when it is not downright off-tasting (that was the poulet chicken). For $9, you are promised a chestnut/squash soup with truffle (oil?) and you get a small cup of... basically Campbells (and not Select Harvest at that). Everything we ordered sounded great on the menu, was priced accordingly, and sorely under-delivered. The service was blah. More mistakes than at the local Applebees but with a whiff of authentic Parisian attitude. When asked by a manager if everything was okay, I said nothing was blatantly wrong. Thought anything more would be too rude and fully expected her to prod me further. Imagine my surprise when she was completely satisfied with that response! When the waiter asked the same question, I knew to be very specific this time. But he was clearly only concerned with his tip: he couldnt "control what came out of the kitchen" but the service was excellent, no? Actually, no. But my girlfriend and I had had enough by this point and just wanted to get out of there. This place seems a clear case of an owner who phones it in. No proprietor would be satisfied with a "nothing blatantly wrong". Then again, with the name and the ambiance, they probably pull in enough business on the promise of a romantic dinner to keep plodding along.

As a long time fan of Paris Bistro going back many years, I really looked forward to a special birthday dinner for my wife. Im sad to say that the experience was less than I had expected. Our table for two was under (and among) the fern plant in the middle of the dining room so that I had to continue to brush it out of my face in order to converse. The noise level, mostly due to a booth table behind us, made normal conversation extremely difficult. The fresh French bread and butter were delicious but the complimentary amuse bouche was a rather bland Bruschetta. An appetizer of chèvre ravioli was very nice with an especially good tomato sauce. My wife ordered the Flank Steak Salad ($20) and I had the Ahi Tuna plate ($30). Her meal was very fresh and appealing, but the Ahi was grey in color and pretty much tasteless. The preparation underlying the Ahi was a mix of beans and vegetables that was just OK. Our waitress was courteous and reasonably attentive though not at all engaging. For dessert we had the 3 Gelato selection that tasty though somewhat generic. I was shocked at the quality of the Espresso coffee that was served with the dessert. Muddy and bitter with zero crema, I left most of it in the cup. Apparently our 80 minute stay was too long for them as the $150+ bill was dumped on the table unceremoniously without asking if we wanted anything more. I am afraid I can no longer list Paris Bistro as one of my favorite restaurants and worth the drive from Park City - and I see from other reviews that my opinion does not stand alone.

I had my wedding dinner here. The food was good but they totally screwed us over. We bought food for 25 people. There were several crashes on the freeway during rush hour and many of my guests were stuck in traffic for over 3 hours. One of my guests cars actually overheated and her engine blew up because she sat in Traffic for so long. In the end only 18 people could get there. That is 7 meals we paid over $100 a piece for but didnt actually cost The Paris Bistro anything. That is not their problem so I wouldnt expect them to refund me for that or anything. What infuriates me is that knowing the situation, when I had a couple guests who didnt like what they ordered and asked if they could change meals, they charged me another $100 for their plate switches. Total fraud. And they charged us for drinks (no one there ordered alcohol it was just Tea and Hot Chocolate). Wow. No mercy. And charging for the extra plates was totally stealing. I could have eaten all 7 of the extra dinners myself and they shouldnt have charged me extra for them. When I called them to talk about it their manager was really rude and didnt care and refused to remove the double charges. I was flabbergasted.

This was our first time at the Paris Bistro and it will be the last. It took over an hour for our entrees to arrive, while the people next to us (who arrived 30 minutes after us) were served. Then my husband cut into his filet mignon and it was cold. My husband sent it back and the waitress said they would REHEAT it. He then told the waitress not to bother, we had waited long enough and he did not want the steak anymore. A few minutes later the waitress brought the steak back and said that the manager insisted that she bring it back (REHEATED) but if we ate it they were going to charge us! They were going to charge us $36 for microwaved steak. I had the lamb chops which were uneventful and the vegetables were bland, I expect the food to be good if my entree is $32. My daughter had the stroganoff which was also sub-par (A $19 plate). It was a very disappointing meal. It was over priced for the quality of the food, but the worst part of our experience was the shocking way we were treated by the manager; I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

I hate this place. I ate there with two girls that I wanted to impress. The waiter brought me the wrong plate. I told him so. He asked if I wanted to change it, I told him no because I didnt want to wait for another twenty minutes while the girls ate without me. Afterward, I paid $150.00 plus 12% tip. He got rude with me, implying that I was cheap, that i should tip him 20%. I couldnt believe it, no gratitude all attitude. I spoke with the supervisor and she seemed to expect the 20% in spite of the error in my order. Well, i paid to keep the girls from being involved in a public scandal. The next day I tried to speak with the manager but he wouldnt even take my call. I left a message with the daytime manager asking the manager to call me back, I never got a call back at all. They could care less that my order was messed up, that I was harassed by the waiter, that i was embarrassed by the staff. So,, I will never go back there again. Go if you like, but not me. Im done with these unprofessional, greedy people.

I got the name of the place from a local couple I had business with, the place seemed so hopefull that despite there 3 less than good experiences I decided to give it a try. The place looked Great and after looking over the menu I had great hopes. These were soon dashed by a staff and food that would not pass muster at any of the chain resturants I passed by on my way to this little bistro. The patotos were so salty that they were inedable, the steak was poorly buchered with about 30% being grissle and fat from the tenderloin chain. My server disapeared when questioned about the quality only to return with the check after the table was cleared 10 minutes later armed with a lackluster attempt at selling me on the deserts. Expectations are a dangerous thing, and though mine were pretty low going in they still managed to give me a truely unplesent meal. That is quite an accomplishment for a resturant I was hoping to be at least average.
