My family and I will not be going to this location again. Our friends and family will likely not come here after our negative experiences. We recently moved to Sandy 4 months ago and have been very disappointed by this specific Costa Vida. The first several times were frustrating with carelessness and constantly repeating our order. The last time we bought meals for our family was horrific. The line was nearly out the door and moved at a snail’s pace. All the meals were prepared with slow sloppiness. When reviewing our receipt we noticed we were charged $10 for two small kids’ quesadillas---not even meals! At Café Rio you will find similar quesadillas for free! When bringing this to the attention of the staff and the manager, it took nearly 10 minutes for them to come to their senses and offer a refund. I was given a receipt where the manager wrote her name at the top and told me to come back in if this did not show up on my credit card statement several days later. Sure enough, it did not show up and I went back in hopes of getting my money or even a salad. However, the manager was not in and the staff was clueless of how to help. I came back the next day and the same manager told me she could not remember the incident although her name was on top of the receipt. She spent 5 minutes analyzing why I was even offered a refund and then told me I needed to bring my credit card statement in for her to review. I couldn’t argue with this lady because she seemed so crazy. I left knowing I wouldn’t see a refund from Costa Vida as I would never be willing to let that incompetent manager review MY credit card statement or go in 4th time for a simple refund. Costa Vida needs to reevaluate their manager training as well as customer service and charging for quesadillas while their competitor offers them for free.

Absolutely disgusting. I LOVE Costa Vida but this location awful. I have been here numerous times as I live just up the street and am disappointed Everytime. I keep giving more chances hoping it was just an off night. But after reading all the reviews and seeing people who had the same experience, I can say I will not be coming back unless there is a significant change. We were 4th in line and it took us 30 minutes to get our food. Why? All that was done was throw some ingredients in a tortilla and have us pay for it. My Wife had to pour water out of her pork salad into the garbage, it was basically floating in the bowl. Neither of us got much meat and the ingredients looked like they had been sitting in the sun for 3 days. The manager was rude and glared at us for asking to taste the chicken. (We have never had the chicken and we were tempted to try something new). The employees were all standing around watching the manager work. There was garbage on the floors and none of the utensils were refilled (its been this way everytime). The only thing good here is the soft drinks. This about this specific location, as Costa Vida is one of our favorite places to eat. We hope you can get this location up to the standards of the other locations in the valley. We would love to come back especially since live a block away.

I wish zero stars was an option. Every time I have been to this location it has been bad. They are often out of ingredients. We asked for tres leches and they said they were out of whipped cream. When my boyfriend ordered his burrito she skimped on the meat and he had to ask for more to make it a normal amount. As the cashier rang us up she was making a burrito for someone she knew and guess what, tons of meat. Tonight 4.4.16 when we went in the guy who helped us was really nice and did a great job. However there was some other guy in there that was walking around the whole place including behind the counter and he was wearing a very ripped muscle tank. This guy also threw something at the nice guy helping me and said "this guys a tool" it was in a joking way and you could tell the guy working seemed uncomfortable and was trying to be professional. The obnoxious guy in the ugly muscle tank went behind the counter again and asked for more cheese on his food. This location is a mess and one of the most unprofessional establishments I have been to.

Did I visit on a bad night? Friday night and had we not met a group there we would have left because the line was long and not moving. Didnt feel overly crowded either. By the time we got to order food could see that staff just was not allocated correctly. Saw people standing around, one kid filling rice that was already full. One girl standing there while another guy is pressing / cooking tortillas and basically running the entire show. Super slow and inefficient. Appeared they had enough staff but just not working. My burrito was put together somewhat quickly but my wifes tacos took another five minutes for some reason. By the time I sat down to eat (after filling drinks while waiting for the tacos) the tortilla was strangely soggy. Place was pretty messy, looked like the evening rush had long come and gone. I want to like this place, its convenient and the food is good but they need to put it together. Especially on a Friday night.

This is the SECOND time Ive had such a horrible experience at this location! Ive ordered online both times. It allows ME to pick the time for when I can come pick up my order. BOTH times when I arrive to pick up my order I am told they are not ready because they got a rush. First of all, is my order not as important as theirs!? And if your online ordering system lets me pick a time and youre in the middle of a rush then it shouldnt let me pick that time!!! Once Im there to pick up my order nobody seems to know where it is or if its completed. So while I wait for my order to be made or while I go through my order to make sure everything is there nobody is even there to help! Both cashiers Ive had both times continue to help the customers in line but not me. I am extremely frustrated with this location and I thought I could give them a second chance today but I will be taking my business elsewhere.

, What has happened to your restaurant at 9400 South and Highland Drive? The place is now really a poorly run outfit compared to your other locations and in comparison to how it was a year ago. It takes 45 minutes to get a meal there if there are over 5 people in line. Last Saturday night, after the football games it was a disaster. Beside the long wait, a non observant staff and a cashier who could do the job; the manager left without looking at the que of 20 patrons and my food was cold. Tonight I returned with trepidation upon seeing a que of 8 patrons. That was 45 minutes ago and here I wait. Your out of flour tortillas and there is no steak for a fajita burrito (my other order is sitting getting cold). To bad that this great location now sucks! I will not return.
