A mixed bag. We stopped in for the first time on 7/5 for dinner. First off, their brie kisses are awesome and love the sauce that comes with them, that was their only "home run" of the night... it went downhill from there. My husbands pizza was overly greasy, wish we had some paper towel to blot up the grease. Also a tip - if you order the chicken pesto parmigiana make sure you ask for grilled chicken instead of the breaded chicken it comes with that was so rubbery that it was inedible. When I complained about it they said that they have gotten "complaints before" about it and that the chicken is pre-cooked frozen patties that they get from a 3rd party vendor. Thats just lazy, then in the next sentence he said that they have grilled chicken that is fresh that they "pound out" every day. Why didnt they use fresh chicken in the first place? Why continue to use that frozen pre-cooked chicken if they had gotten complaints about it before? Oh it was one of those times I wish Gordon Ramsey was visiting! At least they made good by me and made an entirely fresh dish with grilled chicken, it was too bad it came at the end of our meal since my husband was done eating already, so I ended up just taking it home. What a shame. Really had higher hopes for this place.

My boss and i went in yesterday to pick up our order, we go there often and were extremely disappointed with the customer service that we received. The girl that helped us had a black and white flower shirt on and her name is Rebecca. When we came in she acted super annoyed and looked at us like we were wasting her time, she handed us the order and forgot to put all of our stuff in the bag so we had to remind her what was behind her was ours too, and you could tell our drinks had been sitting out since we placed the order (It took us a while to get over there) she then walked to the back and i waited and stared at her and waived letting her know we needed her, she literally made eye contact and went and did something else and came back annoyed. I told her we needed new drinks, she with an attitude, asked me why. I said they normally wait to give us our drinks until we get here so they arent watered down. She stared at me for a few mins and then said once again with an attitude, well, i dont know what you ordered. She handed us the drinks, rolled her eyes, then walked away. Ive worked in customer service for over 7 years, one of the WORST experiences Ive had. I wont be coming here often anymore.

• *Food* - The food is almost always decent. Sometimes, its very good. • *Service* - There are a couple of great people. And several mediocre to "meh" employees. Service is the thing you will see people complain about in other reviews. Plan to be here awhile. Do not choose Smoky Mountain if you have other plans and places to get to. Or, at least, plan for more time than you would normally expect to spend. • *Price* - The prices probably ought to be lower for the inconsistent quality and the sometimes poor service. Its a major plus, however, that they have a pretty decent number of gluten-free options. And so, Ill be coming back, despite other negatives. (In other words, Smoky, if youre reading this: whomever it was who wanted to add that as part of your program was a very smart person - it gets and retains customers, even when other things could be improved.) Last but not least, the old-school arcade cabinets just make me happy. I dont even play them every time, but they are great. So, I might have rated Smoky Mountain Pizza lower, but there are other things which make me want to keep coming back DESPITE those things.

I used to give this place 5 stars, but the past two times Ive been theyve somehow messed up my order four times (yes, 4). A few weeks ago I ordered a pizza for take-out, being very clear it was to be vegetarian. When I came to pick it up there was chicken. They apologized and I waited in the car for them to make a new one. Again, they put chicken on it. Third time there was finally no chicken, though there were mushrooms (which the pizza was never supposed to have). The manager was nice and gave me a gift card and I kept my mouth shut about the mushrooms. Came back a few weeks later to use the gift card, ordered the Teriyaki Chicken pasta, take out again. Foolishly I didnt check it, and when I got back to my place found my pasta lacked both teriyaki and chicken. It was noodles and cheese, for ~$13. I may call and let the manager know whats going on, but at the point I dont even know if I want to waste my time anymore. I can no longer recommend this place, sadly, because when I was VERY explicit with instructions (pizza) or simply ordered straight off the menu (pasta) they still managed to mess it up.

Tried this place a few too many times over the past few years. The first couple of times we ate in and the food and service was great. The next time we ate in the waiter messed up the order completely. A year ago we ordered delivery which took over two hours and a reminder call to get the food. Tonight eating in, the food brought to the table first time was incorrect. The waiter said a new guy messed up. I dont normally complain but I could not finish my Philly Cheesesteak sandwich as it was way way too salty as were the fries. The sandwich was also missing the horseradish sauce as described in the menu. Manager credited the cost of the sandwich but in honesty I wont be visiting again.

Im typically not very critical but in this case I had to post our experience. First our waitress was nice but she had no idea what she was doing. Numerous times she came back to get order details from us. I had to explain over and over again. I mean how hard is it to take an order for 2 personal size pizzas? One of our guests never even got his order and never had his meal. On top of that almost every one of us (13 in our party) got bad food poisoning and we were stuck Sunday and Monday next to the toilet getting rid of some horrible bacteria we got in the food. I had been here before with no problems but this time was a total opposite experience.

(2) 16" take-out pizzas. $50. Qtd. 20 minute wait. Im still sitting here after 55 minutes while my guests are ringing the doorbell at home. Looking into the one area of the kitchen, the far too-many servers who arent whipping each other with dish rags are standing around with their hands in their pockets. From the other view of the kitchen, I see one (slow) cook while two others talk. One guy sweeps one-handed with a broom while holding a soda with the other. Great place to nominate for Kitchen Nightmare.

My boyfriend and I had the pleasure of being served by Sterling at this location. He was awesome! We asked to get a specialty pizza with pepperoni added but they did not make one. I was more than okay with that, and we were not upset about it. At the end of our meal, someone brought us another pizza with the pepperoni free of charge without us asking. Sterling apologized, but he certainly did not need to. He was a great server, very attentive and we will definitely be going back soon!
