This place has the BEST massaman curry ever, seriously it smells and tastes like heaven. Their rice is so soft and creamy and pairs perfectly well with the curry. I have also tried their shrimp pad thai, which was also really flavorful and delicious, but I typically just come here for the massaman curry. Ive seen someone negatively talk about the texture of the curry in a review, and while it is very thin and liquidy, it is by NO means watery! I feel the texture is just how curry is supposed to be, and its packed full of flavor. The ambiance of this place is really quaint, relaxing, and quiet. We love coming to dine in, or its quick and easy to grab some food to go. This place is definitely worth checking out!

We tried this place because of all the great reviews. Probably one of the worst thai food we ever had. Its not just me, our whole group agreed with me. The curries are really running, barely had any meat or vegetables in there. The Massaman curry is not authentic at all. Instead of chunks of beef and potatoes, the beef is thinly sliced and there were only 2 piece of potatoes in total. One of our group members even mistook it as a soup. Pad thai barely had any flavor, just overly sweet. Too be fair, the Pad see u was decent.

This is the best Thai restaurant Ive ever been to. I personally know/knew the owner Ute and his late wife Sue from Thailand years ago, what amazing and kind people. The food here is as authentic and amazing as it gets. Definently the number 1 choice for my birthday dinner every year. If you need a recommendation: Appetizer: Satay Main Dish: In this order, Massaman, Pad Thai, Cashew Chicken, Sweet & Sour, or BBQ Chicken. Dessert: Sweet Sticky Rice w/ Mango or Fried Custard.

We moved here from the Bay area a little over a year ago. We have been searching for great thai food, and up until we tried Thai Orchid we hadnt found anything that we loved. This is by far the best Thai restaurant in Utah.....trust me we have been to many places. The food is not only outstanding but it is also very fresh. We will be back for sure and will bring all of our friends!

We absolutely love this place!!! My mom is the best cook in the history of the world, but this place comes pretty damn close. We come every time were in the area. The owner is so kind and good. We love the food - I always get the gang massaman, my wife tries different things and loves it all. We also love it because were supporting a small place and genuinely good people.

Exceptionally personalized service is what you expect, and what you get from an eight-table family owned and run restaurant. They dont disappoint. This place is the standard I apply to all Thai food. Other Thai food purveyors may have fancier spots, and charge more for their fare, but it is rare that I find Thai food that measures up to Thai Orchid.

And Thai Orchid is our favorite! We love the spices in their Pad Thai, which are subtly different than others weve had. And the curry is something I crave. Theyre even better the next day. Weve actually ordered take out and saved it until the next day. The staff is really friendly and service is great!

First impressions as you walk into the restaurant is that this is a clean and well run restaurant with a loyal following. After eating there, we may be one of the loyal following. The food was good, and we liked the cilantro that was worked into the dishes as a garnish. The service was great.

Was honestly not expecting much for a eight dollar meal at a strip mall, but i was pleasently suprised. I had the l9 l10 the curry was very good so was the pad gra prow, although it was a bit spicier then I figured it would be. Overall definately go again on my next curry hankering.

We were very pleasantly surprised, the curry really was the best that I have had in a long time! It kind of looks like a dive, but if its delicious food that you are after, I would highly recommend it! The staff really was great too. Ill definitely be back.

One of the best Thai food restaurants in Salt Lake City. A cozy little spot with friendly service. The food is never over sauced. Even a simple dish like fried rice is incredible here. It isnt Thailand, but it is about as close as Ive experienced.
