No reseverations available, had a group of 11 on Sat night at 7pm. The hostess told us it would be 30-45 minutes. We sat at a bar top to get drinks while we waited. NO SERVICE! I saw a manager and let him know, he told me because we were waiting for a table (with the pager) thats why we didnt get service ( im thinking if i was the waitor id make a quick $$$ off of drinks.) The manager did get someone to get us drinks which was nice. After 45 minutes the pager had not gone off, I went back to the hostess stand to check on our table. The hostess said is all your party here? I said yes they have been for the last 45 minutes. She then told me in a aggressive tone you need to tell us when everyone is here. I told her frustrated that everyone had been here for the last 45 minutes. She told me that I was supposed to check in when everyone arrived. Would have been good to know from the get go! They seated is immediately. Our server was friendly but took 20 minutes to get us our drink order and was rather inattentive. Foood was good but the experience sucked! Good beer and food but the service in whole WORST IN SLC, WOULD NOT RECCOMMEND FOR LARGE GROUPS or people that are used to customer service. I will not be back!

Im not sure about the brewery aspect of Red Rock, but I popped in here for the Dine ORound and I was not disappointed. I left with a full stomach and a smile on my face, signs of a good time. I got the Caesar salad to start with, and it was light with just the right amount of dressing for my taste. I dislike how some places decide to drown the lettuce in dressing - not an issue here. The highlight of the meal was the steak, which was perfectly cooked to a true medium rare and absolutely tender and delicious. Served with onion straws, mashed potatoes, and broccoli, it was a well balanced main course. The broccoli was steamed and seasoned to near perfection, and the potatoes were quite above average in my opinion. The peach cobbler with a scoop of ice cream for dessert was nearly too much for me to handle at this point, but it was too tempting to resist. It was bursting with peach flavor, and combined the warm dough with a crisp crystalized crust on top. Im not always a fan of peach cobbler, but this one certainly won me over. Combined with the quick and friendly service, it was a great overall experience and I will probably be returning soon.

This is one of the best meals and some of the best service I have had, and at a brewery?? WOW. If you think you are just going to get generic pub food here, you are in for a treat. Our group of 6 ordered 10 total items and every one of them was delicious. The sweet potato cannelloni was unreal, the mussels (with a heavenly curry sauce) were addictive, the salmon dinner was called better than a 5 star restaurant and even the odd cheese appetizer from Scandinavia that I never had before was so fantastic. In addition, our server (tall blond woman whose name I can not remember due to the double IPA) was AWESOME-- she knew everything about every meal and beer, was on top of all our orders even though the place was hopping, and was the perfect combination of professional and personable. I would eat dinner here weekly if I lived nearby. Now the only critique-- I did not love the beer. I tried 3 different ales and none wowed me, though they were all perfectly decent. BUT, the food is so good that I can not take off a star. Come here for adventurous, flavorful food at a reasonable price. This is our favorite place in SLC.

The food was great, and the waiter was awesome. Bloody Marys were tasty. The hostess, Stephanie was very rude and and not very pleasant. My boyfriend and I walked in around 11:45 p.m., it wasnt that busy yet. Stephanie/a male host were at front desk. We told her we will sit at bar, but then decided to get a table instead. She we came back to the hostess desk, and asked for one. She said, "What happened about sitting at the bar?" Then she grabbed the menus and headed towards the back really fast like shes mad. We were waiting for my daughter/grandson to meet us. We told her that we needed a front table so they could see us. She breathed in, and then stomped to the front with a mad face. She put the menus on the table, and left without saying anything. We saw her talking to the Host @ the desk and they started laughing. After 5 mins she walked up w/a high chair, pushed it towards our table and walked away. My boyfriend said thank you but she never replied. She was so mean & rude...she should find a different job if she hates being a hostess. Unbelievable....

Go easy with all the medals and best-in-state awards, Utah. Its still Utah. Save it. With the alcohol that isnt there, they try to mask their beer with over-powering flavors. This "fine establishment" also thinks that after sampling 7 of their beers of 4 ounces each, you have gone over the limit and are prohibited from purchasing their premium "Reve" beer. Im sick of Utah bars deciding for their patrons what is responsible drinking. I thought their italian sausage grinder , a calzone-like dish, sounded outstanding. Come to find out, the meat is spongy and the skin is rubbery. Its nearly impossible to find good italian sausage west of the Mississippi, but this was a complete disappointment. The service and ambiance of the place was just fine, but I wont be back. The positive raves Im reading about this place are shocking. I consider myself lucky to not be from this state.

Went in on Valentines Day with a group of 6 and we didnt have to wait very long at all to be seated. We had some friends tell us that the food was amazing here so we went to check it out. We started off with bruschetta as an appetizer and every one of us was impressed! I had the BBQ sandwhich and my wife had a Caesars salad. Other at our table got a seafood scampi that he was quite pleased with, the chicken shnitzel which was awesome, and the mac and cheese. We also tried the in house root beer and we were that was a treat! It caught my eye because it is made with real cane sugar, not high fructose corn syrup. Our server was given just the right amount of tables, so it was nice to have someone who wasnt stressed out on an extremely busy night but wasnt lingering over us either. Over all we had a great time in a high energy environment and fun location with great eats!

Service was prompt and attentive. Had the beer cracker and steak salad and their IPA. Being from Boulder, CO the IPA was weak, but pleasant. The beer cracker is sort of of a thin crust pizza with cheese and roasted garlic. Aptly named, good accompaniment to your beer of choice. The steak salad was over dressed (but this is not unusual for most restaurants) but the steak was cooked to perfection. That bumped up rating from 2 to 3 stars (its the details that count). For the quality, the pricing is a little high. My meal cost my $40 (with tip and a couple of beers) which was +/- $10 too much. The restaurant its self Id call urban chic. Hard surfaces predominate so the noise level could be high if they are busy (they werent when I went there). And could be considered a fun, lively environment for a group. Final analysis, OK place but Im sure there are better.
