This is a classy little burger joint that I will be coming back to over and over again. The lady at the counter, her name escapes me, was hilarious. Polite, personable, and just made me feel like I was at a small town home-style burger joint. The prices were a bit higher than I was expecting, but that is most stand-alone burger joints. But when I got my burger, holy cow, it was huge. Way larger than I was expecting and worth every penny. It was delicious. The burger was tender, the bacon was crisp, the cheese was real, the veggies fresh. So much better of a taste than that burger joint down the street with the crazy lady. (You know where Im talking about.) I got a shake too. I was with my friend, we asked if she could split the large in two small cups. I think she heard us wrong, cause she filled one large full and another large half way but only charged us for one. I will come back here over and over. Also the AF Police were there for lunch, and they treated them with respect and brought out their food. I could tell the AF Police like to go there for lunch. I highly recommend the Purple Turtle for all your burger cravings.

The very sweet , kind young lady at the drive through was so understanding to me, my hands are crippled up and I had made a comment to her that it would take me a little bit longer to get a hold of the shake and fish so I could get it in my car and not drop it on the ground, only a person with a disability no matter how big or small could understand the part of your dignity that is lost when faced with this and she did! She put my concerns at ease by sharing with me her own challenges and in only minutes we were as she said "sisters" and asked me to please come back, if only we had that much love and compassion for another in this sometimes cruel world were I have first hand knowledge of people and there ignorance to people and a disability they may have. She was my angel that day and I found her at Purple Turtle!!

I was surprised when I went to the Purple Turtle, by the quality of the food as well as the taste. I was like a lot of people and had heard others rave over the Purple Turtle in Pleasant Grove, and was talked into trying it by my wife who was a veteran of their food. I have had several different things there so far, and agree that some of it is normal fast food fare. The things that stand out are, the Mile High burger, the Chicken Supreme, the onion rings (probably the best Ive ever had, but order them lightly cooked) and the shakes, which are delicious. Ive been to a lot of fast food places and have to say the Purple Turtle is definitely above average for this kind of food. They are a bit expensive for fast food, but its probably worth it if you enjoy really good onion rings and shakes.

I was excited to try Purple Turtle after driving by it for several months. Some people even recommended it. But my wife and I were very disappointed. Being our first time, I asked what was popular and I chose the jalapeño burger. It wasnt near as good as a McDonalds burger. And it was expensive: it costs an additional $3.49 to make a burger a combo, and the burger was kind of pricey already! The environment was loud too. There were also several flies that bothered us. Having said all this, I would go back to try their ice cream and other dessert options. Those seemed to be very popular.

The variety of on-menu shakes is amazing. And the shake size is satisfying, with the two largest sizes enough to please 2 or 3 people. The fries with fry sauce is a guilty pleasure. And of course the burgers are wonderful. I moved to Utah Valley in 1987 and Purple Turtle was here then. The fact its still here, after we lived out of state for 15 years, means theyre doing a lot right to still be in business. The only thing I can find to complain about is the amount of seating is not plentiful, and the interior is dated. But if the food is really good, how much does the ambiance matter?

Fries, burger, and shakes on a budget, although I usually stick to the fries and shakes. If I need a full satisfying meal I usually look for someplace a bit quieter and upscale. This place has been around since I was a kid, and they are still here for a reason. Get the Apple Pie shake - you wont be disappointed. They recently added sweet potato fries to their menu as well, and they are simple but delicious. This is where you go when you want to go out, but its not a special occasion, you dont want to break the bank, and you dont care how many calories are in the cup. :D

The food was OK, but for the price I was paying, it was a little ridiculous. I shared the halibut and a deluxe cheeseburger with a friend. The halibut was mainly breaded, with not that much meat. The fish portion was tiny for the price. It was $11.99 for 3 pieces that were about 2 inches long. The hamburger was OK, but for $5, not worth it. Im not sure what the fuss is about. This was the first time ive been there in 10+ years of living in Utah county. I dont believe Ill be back.

My wife and I wanted to try this place out, but I was sorely disappointed. The food wasnt bad, but it wasnt spectacular either; it was just "okay". The fries and tater tots tasted like they were from the frozen section of a grocery store, which is okay except when I go out, I want something thats not easy to prepare at home. The burgers and shakes were also "okay". If you want a better shake, Id recommend Iceberg. For burgers, Five Guys n Fries.

This particular restaurant is a good place to get a hamburger although if you are trying to eat healthy this isnt a very good place to go because there are not very many healthy options it tends to be very crowded from about 11 a.m. until about 1:30 p.m. On Saturdays after 2 p.m. is a good time to go parking is a little bit Limited but this restaurant is very easy to spot on State Street or Highway 89 in Pleasant Grove Utah

I paid top dollar for a P.O.S. vanilla shake with crushed oreo shells. Yeah no thanks, I can make a better one at home. J.C.W.s down the street is MUCH better than this place. Add to that it took them 20 minutes just to make a small shake. The food is mediocre and over priced. But people tell me "Its tradition!" So what? This place sucks. Find a new, better tasting tradition. Dont waste your time here.
