Went there on a Saturday night without a reservation, and were seated in a staging area near the front door, which normally isnt an issue, but each time the front door to the restaurant opened, cold air from outside would draft in, leaving us unable to remove our coats and relax. As a party of 4, I assumed that had a table opened up during our stay they would move us, but that did not happen. The wait staff also seemed disorganized. When we ordered our drinks, they brought out 3 of them but either had forgotten or missed the 4th. Of those that arrived first, one of the drinks ordered was a scotch, but was brought a Mule style cocktail instead. We also each ordered an appetizer or burger, and of the 2 burgers ordered, one was severely under-cooked (he was not charged for it however no replacement burger was given to him), and the other was the wrong style from what was ordered. My 3 friends also received their food a good 10 minutes before I did. The food itself was also a bit of a laugh. I had ordered the Pigs in a Blanket, a 9.50$ menu item described as a pork sausage in a baked biscuit with mustard sauce... What I received was a cut up hot dog in a burnt black on the bottom biscuit. To top it all off, when we had decided to leave the restaurant due to our troubles, and handed the waitress our tickets with our credit cards, she mischarged one of the tickets to the wrong persons card. I will not be returning to the restaurant, and would advise others to avoid it as well.

This place was recommended to me by a friend a couple of days ago. She knew I love the 1920s and Big Band era Jazz music. My dad and I decided we would try it out for Fathers Day. We were not disappointed. When you first walk in, you feel exactly like you were at a speakeasy. It is relatively dimly lit, ambient LED lighting sets the mood, jazz music was playing at just the right volume, and you couldnt help but feel you were in the era. The food was outstanding. I had the stuffed bacon cheeseburger, and my dad had the prohibition house burger. We both agreed it was one of the best burgers we had had in a long time. The drinks would occasionally take a little longer than normal to come, but we knew up front that Chaz had only been behind the bar for two days, so he was still learning. With how slow it was, neither of us minded. Also, because of how slow it was (it WAS Fathers Day after all), we werent afraid to ask for drinks that werent on their cocktail menu. Chaz and Woody werent afraid to give anything we asked for a try. We ended up spending over 6 hours there chatting with the staff and other customers. The atmosphere of the bar simply encourages it. Overall, my dad and I were extremely pleased with the place and it quickly became one of my favorite bars. I will definitely be returning and would recommend it to anyone.

What a good time. Take a step back into the 1920s and get the full experience! The bartenders and servers delivered great customer service and treats. I tried three different cocktails, the first was an original Dark and Stormy (not on the menu) but different than normal. The second was probably my favorite which was the Lavender 75, incredibly delightful. I love more bitter are tart beverages so this is right up my alley. The third was The Gatsby, which was a yummy and refreshing drink. Very similar to the Lav 75 but with grapefruit and Vodka I believe. I ordered the Cheese, Olive and Fruit Plate as a munchie. Very light and comfortable. It happened to be Karaoke Thursdays and it was a blast, they reminded us of their Burlesque Shows every Saturday night which Ill probably be back for. The staff was in full character and the atmosphere was a very romantic/lively vibe if that makes sense. Great choice for a romantic evening or Girls Night Out. The music was the roaring 20s as well which set the tone for the joint. I love this place, great job everyone!!

We didnt hate it, but we didnt love it. As a theme bar, we expected more. We expected the music to be 20s style. If you advertise yourself as a 1920s bar, you expect at least the music to be swing-y. The bartender did ask the DJ to add more swing to the music, but when transitioning to swing from pop it doesnt really work. We wanted to dance, but the music wasnt exactly dance material. A huge turn off was the fact all the employees were on their cell phones the entire time we were there. I understand you arent super busy on a Saturday night, but please put your phones down and pay attention to your customers. We sat for a good 10-15 min between drinks before we were even asked if we wanted something else. Overall, the place is cute and I hope they can be a bit stricter on the music being played, and the lack of attention from the employees. If they can follow through with the theme, they will be sitting on a gold mine.

Live music, friendly staff, and a fun atmosphere, and a good Old Fashioned. The food was good, but not great and the food prices were a little steep for what you get. They have good food concepts, but the execution is a little off; too much salt on the fries and a lackluster Cubano didnt blow my skirt up. Our server was fantastic and the band was funny, slipping in riffs and musical jokes into the set (but not getting a lot of love from the room). Unfortunately the band took a break and the DJ played some horrible 1920s Jazz/Dub Step mashup that was just awful and ruined the mood. If you want to be a theme establishment, you have to go all-in. I would love to see a special event hosted here with period dress. Overall I enjoyed the live band, who stayed true to the theme, the attentive and fun staff, and the overall vibe, so it bumps up to four stars.

This place is nestled away in an area I personally wouldnt associate with great bars... then you walk in and the show begins... you are met with a small 10X10 "antique store" and a man who will pretend to be none the wiser about there being a bar there... after a few leading questions, you will be told you need a "prescription" for alcohol... after youve received it you will go through the fake bookcase door into the bar... the atmosphere is great inside once youve entered... The food was spot on too... Scotch eggs, poutine, steak sandwich, the prohibition burger, and fish and chips all sat well with us. I will most definitely be returning when I get the chance

Service was HORRIBLE. There on a Sunday for paint nite. Stayed after for drinks and food. The food was plated exceptional, tasted great. Loved the ombiance. Sat with empty glasses way to long as our fresh drinks sat at the bar. Its a wonder as we were 1 of the only 2 tables there. Not sure we will return as we felt ignored. Not even checked on till the food was almost gone. The service makes it in my book. You can have the best food in the world but if the service sucks, you have no business. Not to mention we had to track down a server to order.
