For a long time I have found a love for Korea. I am unable to go at this point in my life due to being in college. I had wanted to try all the food I have seen for such a long time, and finally got to last year (2015). I looked at all the places available and chose this one and Im glad we did. We live out of town and Im glad I chose the right one. My boyfriend and I walked in and were greeted by a wonderful lady. She spoke English well with a heavy Korean accent. I ordered the kimchi jjigae and my boyfriend ordered the dok mandu. We received four or five types of banchan as well. The potato was his and my favorite, along with the kimchi. The huge AMAZING meal was only $15 and so we tipped her another $15. To my surprise she said Wait, you havent had dessert and gave us ice cream. I legitimately cried tears of joy after we left. It was honestly the best meal and BEST service we have ever had. Will definitely be coming back when we come back into town in a few months. I will always return for as long as they are in business! :)

Went here about a 3 months ago based on great reviews. The place has changed it seems. The service was AMAZING, which is why it gets 3 stars. The portions were not. Pictures on the menu showed large servings on the entrees, but when we ordered them, the portions were at least 1/6th that much. I had the bimbimbap which had very little meat and an overcooked egg. My hubby had the bbq ribs, which were delicious, but less than a handful for $14. He was still starving after dinner was over. Hopefully our experience was just a bad night, but I was certainly disappointed in paying more than $40 for very little, mostly not very good Korean in a strip mall type shop.

A colleague and I had the great pleasure of stopping by for the first (and unfortunately last) time and enjoying Soonis cooking. We had no idea that she was retiring and selling the business this week but took great pleasure in getting to be there and enjoy her cooking as she winds down to retire. If you see this before February 1st 2013, then make an excuse to stop by, let her pick you something wonderful that she enjoys cooking, and appreciate what it means to be catered to by someone who truly enjoys what they do. Good luck Sooni and hopefully you find as much pleasure and happiness in retirement as you obviously have enjoyed each day at Cafe Seoul.

I never write reviews, but the quality of service coming from this place makes me feel obligated to inform others. I have been here twice and only had the sushi. Definitely good sushi, fresh, and reasonably priced! *The server was very friendly. My friends and I made large orders of sushi so it took a little longer for the server to bring our food.. but she brought us complimentary tofu soup while we were waiting and it was quite delicious. Love this place. I take my friends here to try sushi for the first time.

I have been here a few times during 2014 and can only vouch for the new owner. Hes great, the food is fantastic, and service is top quality through and through! Ive tried several dishes including bulgogi, bbq chicken, ribs, and rice cakes. Everything is delicious, always speedy + friendly service, and if youre lucky you get a tasty little dessert afterwards. If youre even thinking about trying this place, stop thinking and just go eat! I promise you wont be disappointed!

If youre looking for the most accurate authentic Korean food anywhere, THIS is the place! My husband served in Korea for 2 years on a mission, and out of all the Korean food hes tried here in the states, nothing compares to this place! It brought him right back to Korea with a true authentic taste. I had the Galbi and it was so tender and juicy! The owner is extremely friendly, and she and each employee treats you like you are a house guest. WONDERFUL experience!

We have been to Cafe Seoul multiple times and every time we walk away satisfied. The food is excellent, but the personal attention is out of this world. When we first ate here I was a little leery because I didnt know much about Korean food. But the owner took the time to personally explain the dishes and make recommendations. We have returned a few more times and brought our friends to eat here. I recommend it.

Went there once with a friend and loved this place to death. Just went there again cause I used to love it and got poor food and when I got back home my girlfriend and I both puked it all up. I talked it up with all my friends and just had to tell them all again to disregard my praises. Im sorry I have to leave this review tried to go on a date night on a small amount of money and it was a waste.

I will never go there again, unless I am dying of hunger. The service was horrible. I get a better service at Burger King. No hi, no sorry for the food taking so long. The food didnt look like the pictures. I trully felt like I inconvenience Cafe Seoul going there taking my family for dinner. I am ashamed I showed my family that side of Korea. I have been to Korea 4 times, I know!!!

Cozy Hole in the Wall. The service is amazing although it sometimes takes time for the food to come out I am always very satisfied with the food and the price. I usually go for sushi, (again they are VERY generous considering the price) but they also have pretty good Koreon food (personally not a fan). I highly recommend if you need a sushi fix and on a regular day.

Hands down the best Korean BBQ that Ive had in Utah. In addition to that they dont gouge you in price like other places in downtown SLC do. I was also oddly surprised that the sushi in a place that serves amazing Korean food is also fantastic. Altogether, Id say that this is indeed a hidden gem of Utah. Id recommend this place to anyone!

The service is way too slowed. After ordering for 40mins we still havent got any of the food we order. There were 6 other tables waiting. The restaurant only have 9 tables in the restaurant. It is by far the worst customer service for korean restaurant in the salt lake area.

Honest people. Great food. Patience goes long with trying any new place. My first visit wasnt the best, but I did go again the next couple times and it was great!! Its ideal to go with a small group. Sometimes the cook will make you a delish dessert free of charge.

A clean nice place to eat Korean food. We went there on Sat. Theyre not busy. Service is great, food is wonderful. You can choose spicy level 1,2 and 3. Service, taste of food, freshness of food, cleanliness of the place, they deserve 5 stars.

Are you serious... this sushi is way better then places that charge double. Authentic, fresh, and nice portions. You would be a fool not to come grab some lunch or dinner. Never been let down yet.
