So moving from SoCal, I missed my AYCE Korean BBQ places, or even just the tofu houses that were in abundance over there, to my pleasant surprise, Koreatown just opened by the International Market by my house- and boy am I happy about it! The food here is delicious. The hot stone pots with bulgogi, seafood ( or your choice of meat) is a safe and delicious bet for anyone. I also got the tofu soup with maximum spiciness and it was AMAZING. The flavor of the broth is on-freaking-point here. All the Korean bbq plates are great too. Youll get it on a sizzling cast iron plate whether it is galbi, bulgogi, chicken bulgogi ( they cost about $14-$20) They also have daily specials, like cheese kimchi pancakes, or combo meat yakisoba and they are always good price ( $8.99-$15.99) and although some might say thats pricey- its not when you consider it can often serve two and you get all the traditional Korean sides like kimchi, seaweed salad, potato salad etc). I also recommend that you do not pass up on the pork belly lettuce wraps. Its about $16 and is not only perfect if you are trying to keep it low-carb, but is a great filling appetizer, or meal for 2-3 people. It comes with 2 types of kimchi ( one is sweeter, and the other more of a pickled vinegary style) Also, you can get $5 sake bombs with your choice of bomber at this place- thats a steal too! And perfect to go with your spicy tofu soup, galbi plate, or pretty much anything!

Large restaurant with ample of tables. Friendly staff. But the food is average. The starter condiments & kimchi were fairly typical. The beef of the pan-seared brisket salad was overcooked, ruining the dish, in spite of a pretty tasty sesame-ginger dressing. The spicy chicken bulgogi was not at all spicy. Its sauce was way too sweet. It was served with purple rice, which was regular rice steamed with cracked red beans. Im not sure what to make of this purple rice. The Tres Leches cake was light & lightly sweet. The right amount of sweetness for my taste. It would be good to pair it with coffee. This dessert was one of three offered today. The other two were cheese cakes. I find curious that this Korean restaurant does not offer Korean desserts. If I pass by this restaurant in the future, I may give it another try. But I will not make a trip there on purpose since the food is rather average.

Edit: went again after a year. Either prices are down or cheaper options added. And free cake was served after the meal! Yum!! Very attractive restaurant, large, and new decor. Food was incredibly tasty. Large portions (but the down side is high prices - at least $14 per). The hot stone meals are the way to go. Rice, veggies, meat, all in a hot stone cooking the ingredients. I got pork belly BBQ, which tasted amazing but was probably a pound of pork belly with nothing else but rice. Delicious, and good left over in scrambled eggs, but not terribly satisfying as a meal and just far too much pork belly.

Food was fantastic. Big portions... Lots of tastiness. Great food, clean location, big... Lots of room. Not too noisy. The biggest thing was the service. O... M... G. I dont know if the service could have been any worse! Never paid attention to, asked for napkinS... Got ONE. Water never refilled unless we went to the front to ask for it. And the side items we had to keep begging for them. Service needs work. We put up with it bc the food was so good. :)

The casserole udon hot pot was flavored too sweetly. We were not told that it is possible to make the soup spicy until after we had completely finished eating. We even asked for hot sauce during the meal. Also, the restaurant had to switch out the boiler plate 3 times because the machine malfunctioned that many times. The Chirashi sashimi salad was okay. We liked the jap chae a lot. The beef fried rice was also okay. Good effort on service!

Very large, open-plan restaurant that I think used to be a retail space. Great modern decor and young waitstaff. Lunch specials are inexpensive, and come with the full Korean array of sides-and-extras, plus a dumpling and an eggroll. I had the beef bulgogi as a first visit, and it was every bit as good as what I was used to in high-end Californian Korean places! Looking forward to another visit so I can try the pork belly.

Long wait for service. I dont think they were expecting a large crowd on a Sunday but it was July 3rd. Food was excellent. Waiter was apologetic for the wait and did his best to take care of us. Bibimbap bowls are awesome. Seafood pancake had a notable amount of seafood. Other dishes in our group looked and tasted great. Will be returning.

The food is delicious, has an amazing price, and includes many authentic Korean dishes. The staff is always very friendly, if not the most attentive. Everything is very clean in this sit down restaurant as well. This is our go to spot for an affordable meal and laid back environment.

Among my very favorite places to eat in the metro-area. Excellent food, great service, and huge portions. Its my go to for Korean food in the valley. The Galbi is excellent. The sea food pancake is good. The pork belly is excellent. The Galbi Tang has large ribs.

Used to be here occasionally, good food but rude service, stand there 5 minutes for being seated, wait 25 minutes for the food and three waitresses just eyeballing each other when restaurant was not very busy lol, manager should train them well to serve customers

Its always had good service whenever weve gone there and the food gets served super fast after ordering, even on the busiest of nights. The first time I went there the server was very friendly and knowledgeable of all the dishes and answered any questions we had.

I had the bulgogi hot plate, scene below. This is one of the few places in the valley that do it proper, and I cant recommend the experience enough. Prices a little high (~$15 plates), but comparable to the quality of the food. Highly recommended!

Sweet pork belly BBQ is awesome. Bulgogi is well sauced and caramelized. Huge portions (like almost every Korean restaurant Ive been to). Dumplings were a nice appetizer and great to share between to adults and a child.

Best. Korean. Food. Ever! Full disclosure- I havent tried any other Korean restaurants in Mesa, but I do love a good korean dish from time to time and I always go here. Definitely order their bulgogi and fried rice.
