Although the food wasnt too bad, I was very turned off by the service we received. My wife and I arrived shortly after our friends had ordered. We wanted to decide quickly so that we could order and all eat together. When the waiter came out to start bringing out some of the dishes (rice, etc.), I told him that me and my wife hadnt ordered yet so that he could take our order when hes done bringing the dishes out. We waited for nearly 10 minutes while he went back and forth into the kitchen bringing out food for our friends and those at other tables while all but ignoring us! I realized that they might have been busy and simply went up to the counter to order with our menu, and the lady who took our order apologized and was nice enough. However, it took us another 20 minutes of waiting (all the time our friends were eating) to get our food, but the side soup looked a lot different than what we had ordered. We were a bit unhappy, but just decided to eat as our friends were pretty much all done eating. Well, it turns out that the ACTUAL soup that came with our meal still hadnt been taken out to us yet. Just as we were about to leave (members of our group were literally standing up), another waiter comes out with a soup and says "whose is this?". We all said that it didnt belong to us because we believed we had already received our food, he then explained that it was part of the meal that we had ordered 45 minutes ago! The waiters were NEVER available as they would always come straight to the table, drop off the food, and book it back into the kitchen without looking around at customers that might need something. This is the worst service Ive had at a Korean restaurant and not even the best food. I highly recommend going to a smaller place with better service.

I wish I could give this place a 5, because the food is definitely 5 star. The terrible service is what brings this rating down unfortunately. Firstly, they always seem to be so understaffed. On some of the busiest nights they have literally 2 servers working the entire restaurant. 2! Servers are running around table to table frantically. The owners really need additional servers. Food service is so incredibly SLOW! Once, it took nearly 2 hours for our food to make it out of the kitchen. To be honest, I keep hoping that things will improve...but it never seems to. Yet embarrassingly, I keep going back. This really speaks to how incredibly good the food is. And good Korean food is difficult to come by in Utah. ***Also watch out for this very shady practice!! They sneakily charge you gratuity on every body (big or small) that occupies a seat (eating or not) for parties of 6 or more. You wont see it because its at the tippy top of the receipt. Not where you would typically expect to see it at bottom. My party: 3 adults (only people who ate or drank), 2 children who did not eat because they ate beforehand but were seated at the table. 1 infant strapped in car seat who doesnt even eat solid food. We were charged 18% gratuity. We also left a generous tip mainly because we always feel bad for servers being worked to death. And only found out about the 18% gratuity when reconciling my credit card statement against the receipt days later after further inspection. Again be sure to check THE TOP of your receipt for the sneaky 18% gratuity!!

We went to Myung Ga before they moved, so we know their food is delicious. Their new location is great! Lots of space, nice and clean, and conveniently next to Hale Centre Theatre, so you can go to dinner before or after your show. When the restaurant is full, the food can take a while to arrive, but thats to be expected. The reviews on bad service were from months ago. Ive been a few times since then and havent had a bad experience yet. The male server (not Korean) is very helpful and kindly offers an explanation of dishes for first-timers. My only complaint is I wish the Bibimbap would have a bit more of their delicious beef in it. Every time I order it, it only has two or three very small pieces. I dont like a lot of meat, but this isnt even enough to flavor the dish.

I had a good experience with good food. The restaurant is small but it is well furnished and stylish looking on the inside. They only seemed to have one or two servers for the whole restaurant but they were pretty speedy and took care of requests pretty quickly. The potato pancakes with green onions was amazing! I also had the kimchi pancakes and they were really tasty too. I had the spicy rice cake dish and it was also good. Maybe a tiny bit too sweet, but it was still pretty good. If your not familiar with Korean dining it might seem a little intimidating with the table top cooking, but the staff was helpful with the that as well. If your looking to try a new food this place is pretty good to start.

Love the soft tofu soup and the beef barbecue was very good, although bit gristley. The food is served in pots that are so hot they burn the rice if you dont keep stirring it for 10 minutes... which may be authentic, but I found it just hard to eat. Other Korean places do this too but to a much lesser extent. The tempura was soggy and bland and the service was VERY slow. They really need to hire a couple more people-it took forever to get our check so we could leave despite waiters running all over. One good sign was that there were a lot of oriental people there (not all Korean, but many were). Prices were reasonable if a little on the high side. ...but the soup is really good.

Yet another disappointing Korean restaurant in SLC, though thankfully not as bad as E-Jo. The night we came here the place was 1/4 empty, yet the service we received was pretty awful. Took 10+ minutes after ordering to get any water. The beverage I ordered came out well after I had gotten my entree - after I reminded the waitress twice. The seafood pancake we ordered came after we were done with our entrees - and was a tad bit raw in the middle. I had the dumpling and rice cake soup - it was just OK. My boyfriend ordered the spicy sausage soup - it came out luke warm, with no spice to it. Mediocre at best, not a place Id like to spend my money at again.

but other dishes are expensive compare to chinese food and even to japanese food. We ordered the bibimbap, turned out the dish had nothing special, I would prefer fried rice @ The Last Samurai. The bulgogi was high priced but didnt stand out compare to other oriental food. Service was fair, the servers are not experienced like those in American restaurants, they dont speak much English, and was not good in suggestion. Overall I just give credit for tofu soup, priced $8.99 served with rice, good enough for one person per order. If you order more than that then you would need togo box. Have fun ! :)

Had a bad experience. Went for a nephews graduation dinner. For the price I would go somewhere else. 17 bucks for chicken, a small bowl of soup and small bowl of rice is not worth it. There was no flavor to the chicken that I got and it was extremely dry. Also we had a table of 12 people and one of the servers placed all the dishes on my side of the table and told me to pass it down. Now I dont know if you are aware but they serve there food in stoneware that is scorching hot. The soup was still boiling when I got it and he wanted me to pass it 5 people down. Just pure lazy in my opinion.
