Located slightly off Pat Booker Road along a quasi-street in the middle of a strip mall lies Los Arcos, one of the better Mexican restaurants Ive experienced in Universal City. The Mexican plate I tried was good, but nothing too overwhelmingly exceptional, with an enchilada, tostada, and puffy taco. Props are given to the puffy taco, which was excellently fried and even maintained thorough crispiness despite me ordering it for takeout. They did well in keeping the meat dry and insulating the taco from the rest of the meal via tin foil. Because they were only a few bucks extra, I ordered a torta with seasoned pork. I was surprised at just how large this sandwich was, with large amounts of spicy tender (but not marinated) pork butt, along with avocado, tomato, and lettuce. The roll was buttered and placed on the flat top for a few minutes, making it slightly toasted. Between the plate lunch and the torta I had way too much food, and I found myself willing to let the plate go to waste. The torta, on the other hand, was going in my belly. For me, Los Arcos, along with Taco Guadalajara, are the front runners for the best Mexican food in Universal City.

I like it here, its close to my home, just a bunch of veterans come here. Actually thats who mostly come here and old people. I never had a problem here. I love it cause my baby girl and I are comfortable there. There is that creepy waitress that always stairs and smiles creepy but I try not to look at her even when she serves me. Lol give this place a try will you! Also like this comment if you get the creepy waitress, shes very obvious.

One of my all time favorite places. I have been going there since right after they first opened. The owner (Richard) is a hard working man and his quality of service and ethic is an example of hard work equalling success. My favorite chicken fajita tacos on all of the NE side of San Antonio.

Any Mexican restaurant that uses store bought tortillas is already losing in my opinion. But I gave them a pass and kept an open mind while trying the barbacoa. Well after gagging on a leaf (apparently some spice -still kills your appetite when you crunch on a surprise leaf

We come here a lot for breakfast tacos. Were never disappointed in the food or the price. Service can be slow when they are busy. The lunch menu is also good and serve a good sized meal. They are closed for dinner hours.

The food is good, the chubby Mexican kid kinda looks scary ( dont take your kids!!!!) one of mine went missing here but returned shortly after to my house with a sack of tacos and their special sauce
