Im a very picky Mexican food consumer. I come from El Paso and I know how real Mexican food is prepared and taste. So with that in mind, Durangos is the closet to real Mexican food around this area. I love the caldo de res but it is served only on weekends along with their Menudo which is great also, I just wish it had toasted Bolillo bread with it. Their corn tortillas are made there and are great but the run out quickly. The prices are very reasonable and they are quick. I have had half of their food. Will try more soon.

Their Mexican food is the best Ive ever had. Homemade flour and corn tortillas I cant help but eat five of each. I also am a big fan of their salsa, deluxe burrito and bistek a LA mexicana plate. Breakfast is awesome. I travel just to get my fix of all of this. Theyre not open very late but its a family run business which to me brings out the meaning of REAL authentic homemade food

Not much for ambiance. Theyve done what they can with the place, though. I always get great food here - love the tacos. Sometimes they are out of cilantro or lime, which amazes me for a Mexican restaurant. My wife has ordered a lot of stuff that she doesnt particularly like here. So its a miss for her, hit for me.

Staff was polite, friendly, and attentive. The facilities were relatively clean. The food was good and reasonably priced. I enjoyed the small "mom & pop" feel of the restaurant. I would recommend this restaurant if youre in Wimberley and want a "Texified" Mexican food.

Great service, standard Tex Mex, well prepared at an inexpensive price. We can vouch for the migas and breakfast tacos, and other things looked good as they were brought out for other diners. Neighborhood feel, no special ambiance. Plenty of parking in back.

I was good but not oustsnding. They did have a very spicy salsa that we all enjoyed. I ordered the taco salad. The meat was cooked with no extra seasonings. It was rather bland. I spiced it up with the salsa.
