The croissants were terrible. I bought half a dozen. They were flat as pancakes and greasy. They werent even crescent shaped. I used to eat at a La Madeleine in Houston, and their croissants were excellent. The food was good generally at the Tyler location, the pricing on the board was not accurate. The most negative experience was the staff. Most were under 30 years old and very unprofessional. I was by the drink dispensing area and two employees were loafing around this area, liberally helping themselves and loitering and talking, like they owned the place, blocking the area for customers. The girl dispensing the soup kept griping to another employee out loud how they kept running out of tomato soup. A heavy-set black female in her 20s that stood at the line to "assist people" seemed to be superfluous, and she basically just milled around "whistling out loud", like she was bored. There were a lot of employees just hanging around. I only encountered one young man in his twenties that seemed to be polite, modest, and had a professional demeanor. The rest were terribly "gauche" and acted like unprofessional teenagers. A chunky black employee with a chefs hat was really helping himself at the drinks counter. He almost knocked me over. The manager needs to hire some mature, professional people.

We drove in for a birthday party and used their back room for the occasion. It was a very nicely decorated. You get your food by walking through a cafeteria style line. They make the salads immediately just as you want them. The soups are already made. Some of the entrés are already made up and under a heat lamp. They add the sauce to it. My husband had a chicken and mushroom one and liked it. I have many food allergies and needed to know if it had eggs in it. Unfortunately they could not tell me for sure although the young man tried to find out. They were very polite and nice about it. I chose a beef sandwich which was good, but the sauce was a little strong for me. This was just a personal preference. The amounts were a decent size and the price was excellent. They bring your entré to you after you are seated. I would have given it 5 stars except they forgot my husbands meal. But there were 12 of us and once he reminded them it was only a minute until he got it.

Went to their website and placed an order as they required. 15 minutes later I went to pick up my familys order and as I walked into the TO GO orders door walked up to the counter and stood for at least 3min where no one said a word to me. I finally asked where to pick up my order and the girl behind the register looked at me asked me if I placed an order online and said they havent received it. She then walked away. I stopped the next girl walking by working there to ask her about my order and she said "Oh ya our online TO GO order isnt working" and that was it. She Didnt ask to take my order and just stood there. I said ok Ill just leave and she just walked away. Saying nothing! Im so disappointed in the lack of customer service because neither worker cared and it was obvious! Needless to say Ill never go back and let me worn anyone relying on their website to place a TO GO order...dont do it.

So first things first I used to work at la madeline in tyler texas I was the cashier and I just wanna say this was by far my worst experience in a work place. There were several things wrong with this place and that caused me to leave, I would like to point out the fact that the operating manager was a perverted old man and the managers covered his ass the next problem with la madeline is the customer service we presented was absolutely a no no and it was because the managers were basically our co workers they didnt care about anything we did or any of their customers problems or concerns also managers could bring their kids to work and have them running in and out of kitchen while were at work they dont care about the employees at the end of the day or the customers I feel like the guy that built that restraunt needs to re evaluate who he has working for him if he wants to be sucessful.

There were very few people in the restaurant, it took my wife and I about 5 minutes to just order and there were only one couple in front of us. The person that took our order forgot to give us a number and said shed remember our faces and have the food delivered to our table when it was up. After 15 minutes from ordering, we received are caramel macchiatos. We received our two orders of eggs benedict about 20 minutes of waiting and after re-directing the person who delivered our food, who tried to give it to another table, to ours. The food was cold, the eggs were not runny, but fully cooked. The kitchen seemed as though it was in total anarchy. Ive been to their restaurant in Austin off of 183 a number times and it was always wonderful. This location however, not even close to par. Well not be back.

As soon as I walked in the door, I was immediately confused. While I looked online at their menu, and I was ready to order, I was greeted with an odd buffet layout. There is no explanation to newcomers about how to order, and the staff is less than helpful. Although I may have been able to overlook the incompetence with a stellar meal, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a meal that came with a potato galette, and when the food was served, I was informed that the galette would not even be out in time for my meal. Both people that came with me received wrong orders, and overall, I believe a 2/5 is a generous rating. This restaurant has potential in its food, but the service is the reason I will never come back.

My wife, 2 grown daughters and I had a belated Fathers Day celebration today at La Madeleine in Tyler (our daughter who lives in Houston couldnt make it sooner). I had eaten at La Madeleine in Dallas about a decade ago, but it was the first time for everyone else. We were all extremely pleased with the entire visit. The value for the cost, the portion sizes, the friendly helpful staff, the taste of the food - truly everything. We had a variety of items from salads all the way through to desserts, sharing tastes of everything with one another - and all were happy with every item. The mushroom soup was a surprise favorite, but we enjoyed the sandwiches, tarts and every other dish, as well. Definitely plan to return.

Lovely atmosphere and casual experience. It was a bit crowded when I went, so it was a little difficult to maneuver, but I expected as much with the lunch crowd. The staff were courteous and professional at all times. The restaurant was clean and tidy. The food was delicious and very fresh. I had the quiche Florentine, tomato basil soup, and strawberry spinach salade. I enjoyed it very much and will definitely be back when it is less crowded.

New Tyler location: Food is awesome, but the service is ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE!! They simply are not capable of handling a lunch rush and their online ordering system is just a BAD JOKE. Even after getting a confirmation on our orders (2 from our office), they claimed not to have received the orders. This happened TWICE within 4 weeks. Obviously, this location isnt making any improvement and Corporate needs to get involved.
