I went here today at 5:45 pm. to pick up some pho for my wife. I explained to person taking the order that it was my first time there and asked about the shrimp pho, I normally go to Red Pier Asian Bistro weekly for my wife. I ordered two bowl to go. I also asked if they have Vietnamese eggrolls which they did so I placed an order of four. Total came out to be $28. When I was brought my food I decided to check it since it was my first time there. When I opened the box of eggrolls I noticed they were very tiny, almost 2 inches. Not much bigger than the slice of lime they send with the food. I kindly told the cashier who took my order that they were not the size of any other Vietnamese eggrolls Ive gotten before and I knew my wife wouldnt like them. Then she kindly pulled aside the young, heavy set manager and told him I wanted a refund. He walked towards me carrying another customers to go order and slammed it on the counter in front of me. He appeared very angry and then reached over, put the receipt in my face and told me that was what I ordered. I explained to him that this was my first time easing there while he walked back and entered the refund in the computer. He came back and gave me a refund slip to sign, which I did but I noticed he did not give me my tax back. He then threw a fit and ignored me while walking to the calculator and yelled "Im calculating your tax right now." He did all of this in front of the other customers which was very disrespectful to them as well. There was no need for this cold to throw a fit, its very unprofessional. I didnt get upset and simply told him to keep the tax and walked out. I will not eat here ever again.

If you live in the Heights area, Heights Asian Cafe is a good Chinese/Vietnamese food spot for friendly service and value. I went to Heights Asian Cafe on a Monday evening with Kristina N. and Wing L. It wasnt very busy, so there was plenty of seating and parking. After looking through the menu, we decided to get an order of Crab Puffs (4 for $4.50) and Pork Dumplings (8 for $5.95) as an appetizer. These were both pretty good, no complaints. For the main entrées, we ordered three dishes which included a House Special Fried Rice ($9.95), Chili Lemon Grass Chicken ($9.95), and the Tofu Lo Mein ($8.95). The House Special Fried Rice was tasty, and I really liked the Chili Lemon Grass Chicken as it was spicy and full of fresh jalapeño peppers. The Tofu Lo Mein on the other hand was just meh, not really a fan of this dish. Overall, it was a good, quick meal, and the service was on point. Mary was our server, and she was extremely attentive and made sure our waters were always filled and that we were satisfied. She was also quick to clean off our tables with old plates and gave us our bill on time. I will definitely be coming back to check out more items on their menu. What to order: -Chili Lemon Grass Chicken ($9.95) Pros: -Private parking lot -Very friendly and fast service (Mary was a great waitress) Cons: -No alcohol served, bring your own booze (BYOB) -Closed on Tuesdays -Closes early at 9 p.m. on weeknights and 10 p.m. on weekends, so come earlier

My experience with Heights Asian Cafe went well in general. I had an assortment of appetizers, soups, and main dinner selections delivered to my home. So heres the deal, delivery time was very fast (probably because they only deliver within a three mile radius). Additionally, the food had a very fresh quality that you do not find in similar establishments in the area. Other than that, I found that the food was slightly overpriced and the portion sizes of some of the dishes were "a couple eggrolls short of a Pu Pu Platter". Seriously, for what they are charging and how much you are getting, you are better off going to Hollywood (Vietnamese) or ordering from another local Chinese food establishment. At least you know what you are getting and there is no buyers remorse. Drop the price, throw in a couple extra crab puffs, and you got a deal. P.S. I was not a fan of the Pad Thai. I have had that dish all over the country, and it is difficult to do right. Unfortunately, I was not surprised at all with the gummy texture of the noodles. This seems to be a common occurance with below average Pad Thai dishes. It also lacked any complexity in flavor, such as acidity, that can be achieved by simply placing a lime inside the togo box. I can manually operate from that point forward. Lastly, a little chopped peanuts and fresh herbs go a long way.

I officially DISLIKE this place. Just found a hair on my shrimp. I kindly let the waitress know, instead of apologizing, she told me I "shouldnt have ate everything". Well excuse me for finding a hair in MY meal right before I finished it. I was surprised at her response but I told her I was not upset. She brought the check and the meal was still on it. I didnt mind and was going to pay until she opened her mouth again and said "nobody in the kitchen had grey hair", "next time dont eat it all". That really upset me. Perhaps that was true BUT the waitress DID have grey hair. I told her I would not pay for the meal. Her response was " I talk to manager". She brings the check back and says that "he could only take off half because [I] ate most of it". Im beyond disappointed with this behavior as I was not rude and I eat there regularly. Im beyond disappointed. Im. never. going back. there. again!!!!!!

I thought I had a review of Heights Asian Cafe already but apparently not. I LOVE that you can order QUALITY vietnamese and chinese food here. Usually, if it is asian fusion, I dont expect both options to be good but Asian Cafe really masters this. My mom had ordered the Pho Chicken which was pretty good! I was not expecting it to be tasty but I was wrong. I love the vermicelli chicken as well here. Also recommend, the general tsos chicken and sesame chicken. Those are the two Ive had. Im almost positive though that you will find that the other food entrees are just as delicious as the ones listed in my review. Now, you cant get that at other Chinese restaurants! Great Job to the restaurant chefs for succeeding in delicious food! :)

I love the food! I cant pick a favorite, its all good from the spring rolls, to the sesame chicken, to the vermicelli bowels, and Pho bowels! Havent tried anything I didnt like or love. They keep up with the place, nice decor, good ambiance, its clean, quaint, affordable, and the staff is nice, and the food is great! Wish it was a tad bigger to hold a little larger crowd of friends, but then they would have to expand, or close down till they renovated and Id miss it, and afraid theyd change it up too much. Hope it never changes!

have ordered food to be delivered twice and have been charged a delivery fee per order even though they were all coming to the same location. This to me is very deceiving since that is not what is says on the website. This is not good customer service. Although i do not mind paying for a service i would like to be advised about it before being charged for a service that i should not have been charged. I then called the manager who was very rude and dismissive of my complaint. I would not recommend this place to anyone
