Sweet Tomatoes is known for its extensive salad bar. While some people like the restaurant as a healthy option, they dont have any proteins to offer, so youll have to fill your tray with veggies and carbs. I love that the food appeared fresh and not like it had been sitting out too long and the food area was very clean. My meal was lovely, but I couldnt help but notice the lack of enthusiasm from the staff, and the un-bussed tables on a slow Tuesday. The biggest problem I had with this location was the water damage on the ceiling. Its obviously been patched up and painted but who knows what kind of black mold is brewing up there with the dirty drop down ceiling. Things like that worry me in a food environment.

Sweet Tomatoes is a terrific soup and salad place. Actually I think the chain is one of the best you are going to find in Houston where you serve yourself. Salata is also nice, but it is a lot more $$$ and they serve you. They have their standard dishes, like their Broccoli Madness, and their Won Ton Chicken Salad all of the time. They also have a wonderfully creative menu that is seasonal. I love that they cook from scratch. It makes all of the difference in the world if you like how your food tastes. This is the place to take your gluten free, vegan, and people who want healthy choices.

At the tune of $9.29 and this does not include a drink.......it was the worst "deal" on any food I have had in a very long time. Nothing tasted good at all! In fact, I was hoping I was NOT going to get sick. Just GROSS!!! Not any meat at all.......just some cheap veggies. WORST DEAL IN TOWN. This Sweet Tomatos is at the Woodlands Mall. I cannot belive it stays open. They will never get another dime from me or anyone else I know. And also, all Hispanics running the place. I could barely understand the Mexican woman taking our money! Nothing good about this entire experience!!!!!!

Went for a second bowl of soup, waitress took our 1/2 finished salads, our silverware, and our drinks. Asked her why, she said (in english) "I speak no english" and walked away. The cashier dropped a stack of drinking glasses onto the floor after we had been seated then picked them up and put them in the stack beside the cash register to serve customer drinks. He just looked at us like that was an every day thing. We walked out and went elsewhere to eat. All I can say is "holy cow." We will not be returning here for any reason. Eat here if you like floor goo on your glass.

Decent choice of salads. Horrible watered down dressings lacking flavor. The only thing thats worth getting is the broccoli cheese soup and vanilla soft serve ice cream. The Italian melted cheese breads are ok too. ButDont expect to find much or any meat in their chicken soups or tuna in their tuna salad. Not much nutrition over all with so much carbs. Wouldnt be too bad if it didnt advertise itself as healthy food, which it is not. Oh and by the way only one choice of tomatoes, grape tomatoes and they were hardly sweet.

FANTASTIC! We have eaten at the location in Irving, TX, so we knew how great the food is and we were not disappointed. The salad fixings were fresh, tasty, and plentiful. The best as far as I am concerned. The soups are incredible. The breads, muffins, rolls outstanding. Everything is as I remember and I left extremely pleased. Most definitely one of my favorite stops and I will definitely be back. The people were incredible too. I recommend this restaurant to anyone and everyone.

Delicious food, friendly staff, and family friendly. You start with the salad bar which has prepared salads as well as full salad bar with all the fixings. After paying and finding a table (or being seated during busy times) you can now hit up the soup bar which has 8 different soups, the pasta bar, or grab a baked potato. They have wonderful cheese breads and for dessert you have muffins, icecream, fresh fruit and a sugar free chocolate mousse. Well definitely be back!

It has a variety of vegetables and salad fixings which are delicious and good quality. The biggest complaint would be the lack of meat in the soups. I would suggest you go elsewhere if you really want meat, especially beef or fish. You may be able to get adequate chicken if you strain the soup before pouring it into your bowl. Definitely take advantage of coupons or birthday offers if you sign up for their mailing list.

Only those with the most refined of palates will be able to appreciate the subtle nuances of this culinary smorgasbord. Woe to the hordes whove destroyed their taste buds overindulging in the over-spiced, over-salted, dumbed-down versions of originally delightful exotic fare. The ambrosial flavor of nature itself is what is on display here in all its glory. The aromatics, palatability, tastes, and textures? Impeccable.

Came here with the family and it was amazing. Reminded me of golden corral as far as grabbing drinks and paying for the meal before claiming a seat and grabbing food. I was recovering from being sick so I was happy to have all the soup. Only soup I didnt care for was the Sriracha Carrot soup, like it needed more exciting seasoning.

They took all the meat cubes that you put on salad off the bar totally. The pizza was also removed from the buffet. I would think they could remove one of the 8 soups to add pizza. Also tbey had one bar completely empty on an already low selection of a buffet. Its $11.50 per adult thats not cost effective for a limited buffet.

Great service and food was minimalistic at best. It reminded me of hospital food and me being a chef is putting it as bluntly as possible. The food at this chain has gone down in quality and become stagnate. Come if you like a quiet area to read a book eat bland soup and relax. Retirees welcome.

I love Sweet Tomatoes because it offers a wide variety to suit every one. I am a vegetarian and the choice is immense. I can stay healthy eating the salads and also satisfy my sweet cravings with their fantabulous brownies. An the price is unbelievable. I would go any day

Always loved this restaurant. Plus the customer service is incredible - today I left one of my belongings on the table that got thrown away on accident and the staff looked through the trash to find it. Great experience every time.

There was mold on the ceiling and the walls were dirty. The soup did not taste as great as it used to( broccoli chowder and clam chowder) the establishment felt dirty or maybe it was only because it was lunch hour the place was full

My girlfriend found a few hairs in her salad, not her hair color. Plates not clean 100% with food dried on them. Pasta was over cooked and my baked sweet potatoe had so much moisture it was squishy like mashed potatoes.
