I am making this statement under my husbands name. I went to starts yesterday afternoon with my two children. I have dined at starts a handful of times. I also work in the restaurant industry. I was ready to pay out and I asked for my check. I then realize my bank card was no longer in my purse and I must have left it in my car. I asked the server if I could go to my car really quick and gran my card so I could pay. She told me to talk to the manager. When I went to the manager, and told her I left my bank card in my car and I needed to get it to pay my bill. I told her she could follow me to my car So I could get my card. ( I was pushing my 1 year in a stroller along with my four year old by my side) She started raising her voice at me and being extremely rude and demanded me to give her my phone. I said, "excuse me maam, I will be keeping my phone and I will walk to my car with my kids and walk right back with my card to pay for my bill." She started yelling at me telling me she was going to call the police on me and grabbed me by my left arm to try and keep me from getting my card from my vehicle. Finally this nice server agreed to follow me to my car so I could get my card and pay. I was treated by the Manger so badly I was in tears. My server was also horrible and paid no attention to the dirty plates on our table or my drink refills. Although,she paid attention to the tables around me. Finally when I entered back into the restaurant to pay with my card which was left in my car by accident, I was so humiliated and upset by how I was treated I wrote out "zero" on the tip along with "horrible managment". I get home from work tonight from my serving job and check my account and see that $26.19 was taken from my account. My bill was only $22.19. I am never the kind of person to "stiff" someone or to walk out on my tab without paying. I know how the server life is and restaurant business is and have respect for people in the service industry. But I was absolutely jaw dropped by the way I was treated, by the star buffet, in katy by my server and the lady manager.I had to leave nothing as a tip solely by the way I was treated. I will never return to star. And I dont recommend it either. The restaurant I work at, if a women and her two children came into dine at my restaurant and left her card in the car and told the manager, my managers would completely understand and they would allow them no problem to get their card. The star mamager, who was a lady, really needs to evaluate how she treats people and guest that walk in to the restuarnt. I am absolutely appalled. It was hands down the worst expierence that I have ever had at a resturant. Hospitality brings guest back, not mean heartless non-understanding managers. She turned a small issue into a real big issue and she forever lost a regular customer. Maybe if she reads this review she might think twice on how she treats people who are paying her bills.

First off half the food wasnt fresh or good my family always complains about eating here because they always get sick. I never have so I came in on lunch with my husband and kid there was a ROACH crawling around on the wall right next to our booth. Our server noticing we had stopped eating came over and asked what was wrong when we told him he asked me to move grabbed my napkin off the table and killed the bug... he did this like he had done this BEFORE!! Then with the bug in his hand w my napkin he says "Ill go show the manager" and walks off very casually. I seen him telling the manager she didnt come up to the table initially she was waiting to see would we keep eating... After I sit there for about 5-7 mins not touching anything she FINALLY come up to the table and says " you dont want to eat anymore? If you leave now and dont say anything I WONT CHARGE YOU!!" I wasnt going to pay after seeing how cool the server was w the roach and it being there as well as her inability to accept fault Im the situation and correct it. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone unless u like pests being anywhere around you or your food.

This is a horrible restaurant. If there was 0 star, I would have given this restaurant. The food is horrible. I understand these buffet type deals are not suppose to be premium food but compared to other chinese buffet, this place needs to close down. My parent and my family went over there to celebrate their last night before they went back home. From the first plate, we couldnt even eat after the first scoop. I notified the manager that this food isnt exactly what we thought it should be as a result we need to leave and that we had barely eaten anything. Rather than ask what the issue was, she immediately asked for her money and asked that we pay for all 5 people. We barely ate anything. After much shouting, I decided, I will pay for my mum and dad since they had eaten a little bit more from the plate. We needed up going to lucky village (another 30mins drive) to have a better dinner. Run away from this place. Totally crappy food.

Chinese food ? What a joke. Lol. It all starts when u walk in the door. The place stinks like ass. The smell of this place overpowered the food smell. The food taste like kfc fried chicken. Food is either way too salty like your eating a bag of salt. Or bland with no experience or no talent in kitchen at all. The best of the evening was my $ 2.38 coca cola. Waitress kept reaching across plates. Had a attitude on her and the hostess was mad at me as soon as i walked through the door. I love chinese food. Love the culture. But this is not chinese food. Panda express down the street around the corner has quality food compared to this place. Dinner for 2 $ 33.00 plus tip. Panda express dinner for 2 $18.00. If you want to enjoy your evening with family, stay away from this place. Overpriced for what it really is.

Cold sashimi which may have been (obviously) frozen then thawed. A lot of saucy dishes, so if you are dieting or want authenticity, steer clear of this place. In the evening, there is a wait - about 10-20 minutes. The setting is as that of a nightclub - changing neon lights everywhere, a chandeliere in the opening room, alcohol, and a fancily gated area. Occupancy is of a medium number, but the tables are usually occupied. Food may be considered decent to some, but it lacks flavor and thoroughness. The dessert collection isnt as broad as other places, after all, it consists of gelatinous dessert, some little cookies, or ______. Maybe come here for their "seafood dishes?"

Haha honestly speaking, its a buffet. Ive read other users reviews and I can agree with some of them. The servers do just stare at you :o but if they didnt; how would they know when to take your plate or serve you more to drink?! Lol so about the food. I rate it pretty much at most very good. It is not a hit and miss type of food (mostly consistent each time I go) but its not the best buffet ever. The selection of food is quite small, with only a few options in terms of sea food. The sushi is pretty good, mostly just the common Cali roll with a bit of sashimi. Overall i still come back every now to EAT! :3 so it cant be that bad (:
