First of I will say I understand there may have been a language barrier but my server spoke good enough English to understand what I was saying and to respond. My best friend and I went here to get a bite to eat before she had to go to work. We were seated and the host asks us what we wanted to drink to which we both said water for now. The actual server brings our water out and we asked for a few minutes to look over the menu. There was food floating in my water so I requested a sprite and another water. Our server Karina, brought the sprite but no water. So I asked for the water again. She says ok and takes our order. I had the shrimp Quesadilla and my best friend had the Taquitos. (There is also something on the menu that says it contained "No-Grade" Meat). Still no water so I say screw it Ill just drink my sprite. I take a bite of my quesadilla and it was the most bland thing Ive ever eaten. No seasoning, no spice, just a pile of cheese and shrimp smashed between a tortilla. I requested sour cream to go along with my quesadilla. Karina brings out a HOT PLATE with sour cream on it. I choose to ignore it and eat my quesadilla. I dipped my quesadilla into the sour cream and it tasted so sour and bitter as if it was old. I sat it to the side waiting for Karina to come back so I can request she take it back and I eat without it. I sat there about 10-15 minutes waiting for her to come back to check on us. She never showed up. Our cups were empty and we were pretty much fed up at this point. There was another server who came over probably concerned at my disgruntled face and asked were we okay. We explained to take back the sour cream and to bring the check and boxes. When said server walked to the back, here comes Karina asking what happened. He tells her what we wanted and she brings us our bill and our boxes. We sat our money on the table and we pack up to leave. As we are leaving she and the host and a few other servers gang up at the door as if they are gonna try to grab us for trying to leave without paying. Needless to say, we wont be coming back to this piss poor establishment if this is the type of service they provide especially when your food isnt all that good.

Great food, good prices and friendly staff. I have kids, as do many other families who dine there. It seems to be a kid-friendly place. There arent any toy rooms or monkey bars... but all of the staff seems to be very kid-friendly, which helps a lot. Weve been here enough times that we have our favorite meals, but we try new things on the menu often... and we have yet to be disappointed in a selection. Taqueria Arandas has a full, dedicated bar attached to the restaurant -- so if you order adult beverages, theyre made right (not like some places that only have the pre-made drinks). The bar also has karaoke and dancing. I know this, as we can hear the performers whenever the door to the bar opens. When the door is shut, you cant really hear a thing. We also sit on the south side of the restaurant, which is near the bar door -- so you could avoid any sound at all by sitting in the middle or north portion of the restaurant. Ive never been in the bar area, so I cant say if its good or bad... but the specialty drinks we order are always good. Ive never had a problem with any meal not being prepared to our satisfaction. If we didnt like something, they took it back and made it again, or swapped it out for something else, or just removed it from our bill. No questions asked. While it is rare for us to send something back, its good customer service for them to fix it rather than argue with us about it like some restaurants do. Some people may not like Taqueria Arandas because its a "chain" restaurant -- but I fail to see how that has any affect on the quality of the restaurant or the food. The restaurant is always clean, and the food is always good. If thats what it means to be a "chain" restaurant -- predictable quality -- then thats where I want to eat.

No tienen la menor idea de lo que significa servicio al cliente. Llegue al restaurante alas 10 am pedi unos tacos de desayuno, eran las 10:40 y lo unico que me habian traido era 1 taza de cafe y 2 topersitos de salsa. Pregunte cuanto se tardaria mi orden ya que mis ninios estaban ya desesperados el cajero no me dio una respuesta solo dijo de una manera muy golpeada cual mesa ( casi no abia gente mas que si acaso 5 mesas) pasaron 10 minutos mas me pare pedi cancelar la orden y que me cobraran el cafe, nuevamente el cajero sumamente grocero cancelo la orden y en un tono sumamente altanero me dijo " como usted mande senora , como usted mande que dios la vendiga adios adios" . NO REGRESARE NUNCA A ESTE RESTAURANTE

BAD BAD BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE !! So I ordered 2 kids meals , they asked me what would they like to drink so I told the waitress to give the kids lemonade. The shrimp cocktail was pretty good. Waitress never asked if everything was ok so I asked another lady to give my kids refill. When i get my check they charged my kids drink as a regular 20oz drink and not just one but they charged me 4 (20oz) drinks When kids drinks are a small little cup!! I told the waitress and I told her to give me the 4 (20oz) drinks that Im paying for so they didnt want to, neither did the manager all he did was reduce $1.50 out my check and not care. This is certainly BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Also their tacos are nasty! thats why I would never order tacos there anymore!! I wont be going there anymore , especially now for what happened today!!

Had a horrible experience with their "Security" (he was on off duty police officer) he was racist and rude. Shouting at us at the top of his lungs and shoving my friend causing bruises on her arms and neck where he grabbed her saying the place was closed and we had to get out. We told him that we knew it was now closed and that we were waiting for our bill. All the waiters know us very well and not waiters nor manager said a word nor tried to intercede, instead later went on "Houston Sell/Trade" and said that we were totally drunk and out of control. We had been going there for years and always had fun, never once did we cause any trouble nor did we get drunk. The owner refused to give us the persons name saying he did not have it. Never again will I go there.

Terrible. Tonight, my wife, myself, and our three children - one disabled - came to eat around 7:30. I was really looking forward to having a torta, and $4 for a kids meal seemed like a good deal. Id like to talk about how the food was, but I dont really know. We left at 8:30 without ever receiving the food we ordered. Every other table came in after us and was eating. At least they were generous with the chips, but if I want tortilla chips for dinner, I will buy them at HEB. The worst part was where they brought around a tray for desserts and I initially thought it was complimentary for the slow food, but it was really their way to upsell the desserts and I had to tell my 6 year-old son he couldnt have any. We are never coming to any of these again.
