I enjoy the food but the staff needs a stern talking to. I served tables for over 6 years so I understand not liking it when people come in near closing time. However, I also understand that youre establishment is not closed until the actual closing time. I was denied service three times in a row with my grandmother because we showed up 10 - 15 minutes before closing time. Unfortunately it was the earliest we could get there due to her appointments. The first two times they made up excuses so I thought nothing of it. The last time they flat out told me they would not serve us because they were closing in 10 minutes. To be fair, I gave it 2 stars instead of 1 because I did enjoy the food, though it is not amazing. I loved the chicken Caesar salad. And also to be honest, this experience took place a few years ago so things may be better now. However, I would not know because I have never and will never go back.

We went based on others reviews. I am very pleased to report they were correct. We have only been during breakfast time, but the food is very tasty. I am a huge breakfast person and they have a pretty decent and unique menu. I have stuck to the basic two-egg breakfast, but will try some of the other creative dishes they have come up with. I personally thought their pancakes were just ok.The batter is missing something, but the French toast is amazing. The hashbrown casserole is pretty darn good. It compliments my over medium eggs perfectly. My boyfriend loves their big Omelets, The staff are welcoming and have a politeness that only country life has. Something that congested Houston has lost. We dont live in Conroe, but every trip made up there ... we have special plans to visit the Toasted Yolk. I am in love with their coffee mugs and the decor in restaurant. Makes yon feel all warm and cozy like your at a home!

Went here for the first time because we always go to 105 café where the food is always good but we wanted to try something different. I was not overwhelmed initially due to our waitress looking like she just rolled out of bed, although she was nice. Ordered One of the scrambles which came out less than warm. The waitress was attentive. The thin looking manager lady was very loud as she spoke to the customers. This one gentleman expressed how his wife left him and she was very loud saying yes its cheaper to keep her And she knew this out of experience. We were very appalled by this behavior. We will stick with the 105 café because the owner is on top of his customers wishes, he doesnt walk around airing dirty laundry , we have never had food come out less than warm and he remembers your name and what you like along with his waitstaff.

My family stopped here on a trip elsewhere and had: - Double Decker - Two kid sized pancakes with bacon - Cowboy scramble The staff was friendly and worked well together to get our initial order and drinks together and make sure everyone was seated comfortably. Food came out quickly. Generous (very) portions, good food, fresh ingredients. The fresh fruit is a nice touch with the dip. My daughter loved the grapes. The hashbrown casserole is like hash browns on top of mashed potatoes. The kid sized pancakes - how big is this kid? I would just call them decent sized fluffy pancakes! The bacon was decently thick and cooked just right (not floppy or over-cooked.) The staff stayed friendly and efficient throughout the meal. All around an experience wed all repeat.

We came in with happy expectations because of the good reviews. We were extremely disappointed. We arrived 10 minutes after opening, so there was no reason for the hashbrown casserole to be cold in the middle. The consistency was library paste, and was clearly yesterdays microwaved leftovers. The english muffin had that crunchy-all-the-way-through consistency typically encountered when toasting stale bread. The omelet my husband ordered and the pork chop my Dad ordered were very bland. Even my fruit seemed to lack freshness, with the melon being aged to transparency on the outside. The grape I ate gave a burst of cool moisture, but no flavor. We will not be returning to this place again.

My taste buds absolutely went crazy upon entering the restaurant. The aroma of coffee and delicious somethings cooking was incredible. This was my first time going 8/24/13 and definitely NOT my last. My dish to try was the Atlantic Arnold: Eggs Benedict with a huge piece of salmon. Coffee is grown somewhere in TX and its is delicious. The fruit item salad with the sweet yogurt smooth dipping sauce was out of this world tasty. You have to go try it ... it was worth my 40 minute try to savor this.

First time EVER I wished I could give TEN STARS. This little gem has ruined our dining adventures for good, we liked going to new places and now I just want to come back to The Toasted Yolk..... Yes it was that good. Let me start off saying if you can find a group of nicer servers I will swallow a toad. The food was utterly amazing and the coffee was the best Ive had, it was so good I had to order a cup after tasting my wifes ( I originally ordered a pink grapefruit mimosa

Highly recommended. Generous, tasty, and well prepared omelets, pancakes, and other breakfast meals (including the eponymous toasted yolk). Good coffee. All with good, unobtrusive service. We have been here several times on Saturdays, last time during the breakfast rush. My advice would be that if you want to avoid the crowd, come for lunch -- but I am not sure how necessary that is. During the busiest time of the week, our wait was less than 5 minutes.

Excellent food. They have some of the best eggs benedict with some great variations. They have cool coffee cups you can buy, I bought 4 cause they look like they are a mug that a hobbit would drink from. Whatever you order, get the hash browns as your side. They are the best hash browns I have ever had. Do not get anything with guacamole, I believe it is from a packet of Wholly Guacamole. They also have Churro donuts that were very heavy, but delicious.

An excellent place for breakfast in the area. It might be gimmicky but their namesake plate, the one with the and egg in the middle of a piece of toast is perfect. I use to cook a sunny side up egg and then break it over a piece of toast but this is even better. Service is good and they keep the coffee cup full. Also important for a good Saturday morning breakfast is their prices are cheap and portions are huge. I would definitely recommend.

I had the make your own omelet choice, hash brown casserole and English muffin. I added crispy bacon, onion and jalapeno and it was great. Large portions as well. It even came with a small fresh fruit cup to my surprise. The ambiance was comfortable and calming. I sat in the bar area by myself to get plugged into an outlet while getting some work done. The staff was attentive and courteous as well. A place to add to the list to frequent!
