AVOID THIS UNDERSTAFFED PLACE! My wife and I went to this Golden Corral Wednesday 12/26/2012 at 7:15pm for dinner. When we arrived there was no waiting to get to the cashier. We payed for 2 adult buffets, 2 drinks and a Child buffet and sat ourselves at the first booth nearest to the Cashiers and exit door. I let my wife and 5 year old get their food first as I waited with my 10 month old. Behind us, I heard the busser complaining how that she was the only one working this side of the area to customers. I could see plates stacked on about 3 or 4 tables where people had left. There was only 4 tables occupied in this section so whats the deal? When I went to get my food, I went straight to the steaks. Ther was one person manning the steak station and what appeared to be a management staff asking what everyone wanted. We all wanted well done. I asked how long it would be and was told about 5 minutes, fair enough, I started a line and waited. The Well done meat was charred on and the meat that was given to me, I had to cut off the burnt sides in order to made it eadible. As I walked through the buffet likes, I was suprised to see what I see on the buffet durring a Sunder afternnoon lunch rush, empty pans??? The problem was that there was no rush, there was no line to get food, just a few people randomnly walking in search for what I was searching for, food. The mashed potatoes were gone at both pans, the gravy was gone, people were scrapping the botton of the pan to get some mashed potatoes and gravy. I was upset and asked if I could get some mashed potatoes. The your gentleman quickly pulled out a pan and restocked the patatoes. The fried chicken was completely gone and was told it would be about 25 minutes for that to be ready. Thats an awful lot of time considering that you only spend about an hour at a restraunt. I did ask if there were any french fries and the management staff stated that they would be out as quickly as they could get them cut and cooked. People were very frustrated. At my booth we ran out of drinks and placed to put our food due to the busser lady not comming by to check on us. We as well as the rest of the guest had no option but to use a table that was no occupied to put the used plates and make room on our tables to eat. This is not the first time we visited this exact Golden Corral and had experianced less than acceptable service. In my opinion, the placed is under staffed, under trained and has a weak management staff. Everything I listed that was wrong is due to poor planning and lack of it by the management team. Regarding the desert, I dont know where to begin, there was no cotton candy, my 5 year olds favorite, the doghnut maching wass broken again. The last 4 times I have eaten at this Golden Corral, the Doghnut machine is broken. Quite frankly, those doghnuts are what prompted me to go eat there versus across the street at the FURRS buffet.

I paid for my meal at 10:13 a.m. expecting the breakfast food to be replenished up until 11 a.m. when they changed to the lunch. Unfortunately they were already out of orange juice and milk as well as bacon. The eggs were very dry whereas the grits were extremely runny. As far as the fruit that was on the fruit salad bar other than pears and peaches which came out of a can all of the other fruits will rock hard as if they were not quite ripe I tried to get the attention of the three waitresses in my area. My table was directly by the area where they refill drinks and the employees should be washing their hands period instead these three young hispanic women stood there eating off of plates and laughing. There was one Young African American male who is least told me the sorry for the quality of food and the lack of food out at the bars. When I went back up to the line to check to see if any breakfast foods were put out it was 10:30 and everything was switched to lunch with a bunch of empty or breakfast had once been. I asked to speak to the manager on duty but apparently theres only one and he was taking care of other complaints. Before I left the parking lot I actually called inside and ask to verify what time breakfast should have been stopped and lunch started and the young man very politely told me breakfast is served until 11 a.m. I looked at my watch and it was 10:44 definitely will not be back to this location to waste any more money

No server ever came to our table to refill drinks or clear plates. Several walked by and completely ignored us. When we finally were able to flag some down and asked if they could find ours and they said they would but no one ever came. So we refilled our own drinks at the front. I understand that this is a family friendly buffet so things are expected to get mixed into the wrong bowls, but there shouldnt be "premade" salads. The salad and soup sections just werent kept clean. The lettuce was old and brown. They were out of multiple dishes and didnt restock them. I went to get normal steak and asked for it medium rare and he gave me a piece of charcoal. The "featured" dish was sirloin with lemon rosemary sauce. They were out of it. After asking several times when it would be ready, we were told, "it will only be 10 more minutes". After an hour of waiting, they said it was finally ready. I normally eat medium rare, but asked for medium. The picture is what I received. I still dont understand how after being cooked for an hour it was still actually cold enough to where the "sauce" was just condensed oil and still raw enough to be bleeding profusely. It was at this point, we gave up and headed home very disappointed with our $35 outing.

Ah, Golden Corral, where do I begin? It took about 20 minutes for a waitress to come to our table after we found a seat. It took 30 minutes for her to finally see the lobster order we made. She picked up the ticket and asked, "Oh, you want this?" No shhh sherlock thats what we paid the extra $5 for! Then, the silverware were ALL disgusting! There were dried food particles stuck to every utensil. Ewww! I had to ask for hot water to clean them myself. Then, I told a random waiter to let the manager know so they finally replaced em. Asked the waitress for the Heinz 57 and she said if its not on the floor, they dont have any more (really you ran out of steak sauce?). No, she brought one in 8 minutes. The mac n cheese was literally watered down. The buffet bars were dirty and not kept clean, and there were nearly empty buffet bowls that werent refilled. And the dessert was....SALTY.... SERIOUSLY (banana pudding, peach cobbler, red velvet). They must have thought the salt was sugar! Disappointed in the upkeep, food and service here. Will not return!
