I have dined here in Humble on Wilson Road two times now. The first time was not very good, however the service was very good. Today, May 24, 2009, the service started poorly. The chips and salsa were not good. The chips were chewy, and the salsa was watery. I ordered a combo plate that included shrimp, chicken and beef. The shrimp was tough and cold, the chicken was hard and dry, and the beef was flavorless. I ate about two bites of the charro beans and the waiter took them away. My Mom had her meal taken before she was finished. The food overall was a D-, the service was a F, and the overall experience was an F. I paid $29.23, and it took 10 minutes to get a cash receipt. Then, the receipt has no identification, nor a ticket number. I asked to speak to the manager, but was completely ignored. I will not go back, and would recommend that anyone who wants Mexican Food in Humble, go to Noyolas or Hectors. Dont waste your money or time at Mi Rancho.

Ive been to this restaurant about three time now, and every experience has been golden. The staff is very attentive and swift, the food is as top-of-the-line Tex Mex as it gets in this price range (which is not the cheapest, but a very good price), and the atmosphere is as friendly and boisterous as a family restaurant gets. If you want a quiet meal, go somewhere else. Tex mex family restaurants arent for you. If you want to enjoy good food for a good price and dont have a problem with hustle and bustle going on around you, or if you are looking for a place to meet with a group, or if you are a group in and of yourselves, feel welcome at this establishment. The margaritas are great, too!

When they first sat us at the bar, we asked to be moved and they moved us to a table right on the other side of the bar. At that table was a plant that attracted several flies. When I informed the waiter of the several flies that were in the plant (that was right by my head) I saw him go and tell another employee who then proceeded to laugh. His solution was to just wave his hand at the plant (which had little to no effect) even though there were about 10 other tables open. It was terrible service, and and Ive never had a waitstaff be so rude and care so little. The Mi Rancho near the Portofino shopping center is way better.

My family and I eat here about 2-3 times per week. It is that good. There are 2 or 3 waiters that dont dont seem to care as much as the others. However, the service is ALWAYS excellent! We have eaten here hundreds of times over the years and we have NEVER had a bad meal. The chips and salsa are out of this world good and everything is always very consistent, service and food alike. The ONLY complaint that I have would be the noise. It is very loud. But, when you have a bunch of drunks drinking margaritas around you, not paying attention to their kids and then driving them home drunk, what do you expect?

My friends and family have been going to Mi Rancho for a few years. We have watched the quality of the food and service deteriorate over the past year. Last night we decided to give it a try and were very disappointed. The patio is no longer a patio as the windows have been glassed in. It took a while for us to get service and when we did the waiter was very short with us. When we finally got our food it was very bland or fresh. Also, the margaritas we ordered seemed to only contain mixer and were watered down. Although it is conveniently located down the street from our house, I dont think we will be back.

Went to chilis waited 15 min with no service watched as 10 more tables were sat. Also being unattended. Left, came here for the first time and we were blown away. We were sat fast, our drinks were there withing 4-5 min along with chips and salsa(delish)ordered kids meal with drinks and it came out with our side of guac!! And was fantastic. Food was great. But the service was what won us over. They were so busy, barely any tables, and we still had 2 servers tending to us. Seen the manager walk by and told him how great our experience was!! Def will return.

Most of the menu is the standard Chimichanga, gravy-covered enchilada or crispy taco with cheese puff Tex-Mex scenario but there are a few hidden gems. The El Refu is one of them. Blended drinks usually have big chunks of ice in them so be sure to ask for extra time on the blender. Otherwise its fairly decent and worth it if youre not expecting a very unique experience. My family and I are happy to eat here on occasion. Our friends never complain.

Awesome food, great service and people! The "neighborhood" place to eat that is never disappointing. I would eat here every night but keep it special for those game winning, graduation, birthday, return from out of town, great concert performance, football night win or loss, bad day at work nights ...... yah I eat here a lot.. basically any "reason" I can make up to eat her is a win for me and my family. Keep it up!

The food was good mixed drinks were good quality, ice cold beer as well. My only real complaints were the salsa is bland and watered down but they compensate that with fresh delicious chips. Other than that the service could be better, they are polite and friendly food came fast but they are slow to check up on you for refills. Overall fell just short of perfection(5 star). I will definitely come back

I have eaten here twice. Both times the food quality was mediocre at best. The refried beans taste like they are fresh from the can. The margarita I had here tasted watered down. The sopapillas are more like boats floating in this brown mess with whip cream and a cherry on top. Definitely not a 4 star restaurant. Alicias is just down the road and seems to have higher standards than this place.

The food is very cheap but very tasty. Excellent Mexican food even if we compare to bigger restaurants and franchises like Lupe Tortilla or Los Cucos. Service is excellent. I have tried many of their dishes and they were always great. Very delicious plates. One of my favorite places to go when in low budget but still want to enjoy a good Mexican dish.

My family has been eating at Mi Rancho in Spring for over 5 years now and have never been disappointed. All of their food is great, well cooked, usually comes out quickly and is very affordable. If youre looking for a good margarita, I suggest you try their frozen ones. It usually only takes 1 per person. Add a shot of amaretto and its even better.

I placed an order to go for one of their Mexican food plates and went and picked it up and went all the way home and opened it to see one enchilada in one container and a bowl tortilla with cheese and a bowl tortilla with guacamole that I paid $10 for. It was too far to go back to complain but I will never order or go there again!!
