Honestly its overpriced. $13.95 for fettuccine without any meat. $9 for a steamed artichoke. Service always seems slow and staff scatter brained. Unfortunately not too other Italian places around here. Its also loud. The acoustics in here could use some tweaking. Been there a few times. Its always the same thing. Only reason weve went back because the food is decent and there are no other itialian places around. This last occasion that I will eat there, they told me 20 mins on a pick up order. I got there and they said "it will be a while." I said what does "a while" mean? They said "a while." I asked if they could get clarification on that and he said about 15 minutes. Food came out 25 minutes later and the lady brought it to me and then walked away to attend to someone else. I still hadnt paid so I had to wait another 2-3 minutes until she came back so I could leave. I got home about 10 minutes later and the food was room temperature. Perhaps slightly on the cooler side. I reheated the alfredo and ate it. Last time Ill go there, until Im craving itialian and want to be let down again.

The building exterior facade is deceiving. Once inside, the atmosphere was subdued and inviting though not elegent. It came across as a nice neighborhood destination; with maybe 20 tables in the entire restaurant in an open layout. I enjoyed the meal and the service. The food was not served in generous portions but the flavor was good and the choices were varried. I lived in Italy for three years. I can say that the flavor was not authentic Italian but few American diners would enjoy authentic Italian; it has heavy flavors and makes generous use of cheeses. In my opinion, this food is for the masses and you need to try it if you live or work nearby. To my memory, expect to spend $20 to $30 per person not including drinks.

Dusty, worn down place. Food was mediocre at best. We had ravioli and eggplant parmigiana. The eggplant tasted like it had been cooked, frozen, defrosted, soaked in sauce and cheese and dropped on my plate. Very little flavor! The actual ravioli was pretty good, but it somehow didnt marry well with the sauce it was in. I understand its a small place and resources are limited, but at least clean properly, so your guests dont have to sit and look at a big dust-puddle around the flowerpots! Tip for the owner: Dont put hand-written signs on the door. It brings the professional look down quite a bit.

This was our first and last time to come here. We always drive past this place and decided to check it out, but we wont be back. The portions were very small, especially for the prices. They didnt give us any bread, and when we asked at the end why they didnt offer bread, they said they have it but you have to request it. How would we know to request??? Our one year old needed to be changed so I went to the ladies room and there was no changing table at all. This is very bad customer service. Not coming back!

My husband and I decided to try this restaurant one evening, it left us feeling underwhelmed. The tomato sauce tasted like sugar, actually everything had a strong sweet taste. My husbands fettucini alfredo tasted bland and the sauce tasted like warmed milk. The best part of the dish was the chicken, which tasted like fajita meat...which was strange since it is an italian restaurant. The price of the food was way too expensive for the quality of food we recieved. We wont be returning to this Cucina Italiano.

Took my wife and parents tonight. Everyone loved the food. We started with the anitpasta for an appetizer, the ladies had eggplant parmigiana, Dad had a pizza with mushrooms, I had the chicken Romano with minestrone fagioli and we all shared an order of spumoni. The plating of spumoni was gorgeous till we hit it with our spoons. All the food was delicious!

Delicious Italian food. The steamed artichoke is a great taste treat as an appetizer and the chicken romano is a wonderful entree. Richard and staff have always been very nice and accommodating. Wednesday Wine night is a great deal. Easily my favorite Italian restaurant in the area!

My husband and I tried this place, looking for a good home cooked Italian dinner. The antipasto was horrific, I think it had been dumped out of a can straight onto our plate. The fettuccine was dry and left much to be desired. We will not be returning. The service was friendly though.

Love this place. The Greek salad and Caesar salad are excellent. My favorite is the Fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken. The diner roils with their special butter is awesome too. The kids menu is perfect for the kids that are picky. Check them out, you wont be disappointed.

Epic fail!! The food is way over priced and terrible. With the high prices I expected excellent quality which is was not. The food was not restaurant quality. The Alfredo sauce tasted like sweet powdered milk. Olive garden is cheaper and wayyyy better. Will never return.

This place is my go to for Homemade Italian Food. My family and I love this place. I would eat here every day if I could. Shocking to see any negative feedback because every time I go the food is excellent! Oh and the chocolate pie is absolutely Amazing! I love it all!

Food was so bad I appreciated the under sized portions, lasagna was dry and tasteless, did I mention small portions are a huuuuge benefit. Antipasto was not fresh and covered with red peppers...vero kitchen 5 times better and half the price..!

Service was good, recommended dishes were amazing. From an Italian, this is one of the best Italian restaurants in town! Cant wait to go back and try every one of their meat dishes!! Was perfect for our date night :-)

My favorite Italian. The pork chops are stupendous and the steak with the brown sauce...excellent! Richard runs a first class place and the have the old fashioned cocktails! Harvey Wallbangers are killers.

I live in WindRose and we love to eat out. Weve tried this place several times and their service is sketchy and they are stingy with their wine. Theres a place down Kuykendahl that has much better food!

We have eaten here several times. Food and service always good. Dont understand the issue with asking for bread, we have always gotten bread without asking. I love that is not a chain but family owned.

Food is horrific. The fettuccine Alfredo literally had no seasoning & chicken was dried up. Veal tasted like rubber & wine list was laughable. Oh and learn how to spell thank you in Italian. Its Grazie.

My husband and I went there for lunch today. The food was awful and the owner is very disrespectful and rude. We will never eat there again. Do not waste your money on this place.

The owner is so narcissistic. If you question its quality he may ask the next table to vindicate his taste (which is questionable). I prefer his brothers restaraunt..!!

Food did not taste fresh, it tasted like a frozen dinner and had a peculiar odor, the only thing that was good was the garlic bread. Not good end to go back.

Very sad to write this. People were nice. But food was average and service was very very slow. However the saving grace was the dessert was good.
