Disclaimer: I was here for a private event. We were a big group, occupying one half of the restaurant, yet service never suffered. It was a very good dining experience. TruFire has a cool vibe, is not too brightly lit, and has good house music (I recall hearing The Cure). There is bar seating and high tables, as well as a dining room. There is also a nice patio out front. Our group occupied about one half on the restaurant. Which is the main dining room. It was a big group, and yet service was very efficient. Our server, Izzy, knew the menu well and was very helpful with our choices. We started with the hummus, which I have to say, was some of the best Ive ever had. It was not so much the flavor, which was very good, but rather it was the texture. It was almost fluffy, not whipped cream fluffy, but not just chickpeas (aka garbanzo beans) in a food processor either. What is the secret? Garnished with feta cheese and roasted red bell pepper, served with pita wedges and veggies, it was delicious. Izzy told us its a family recipe of the owner. If you like hummus, and find yourself at TruFire, do not pass on this offering. For mains I had the Akaushi Burger. 1/2 lb of fresh akaushi beef, aged cheddar, avocado, onion, tomatoes, house sauce, regular or whole wheat bun. I was not familiar with akaushi. Akaushi is a Japanese Wagyu breed of cattle and is apparently being raised in west Texas! Go figure. Although I was not asked how I wanted it cooked, it came out medium rare, which was perfect for me. All I can say is a very tasty burger. Will definitely be back for a burger. My dining companion had the Spicy Garlic Noodles. Shrimp & chicken, roasted 3 shrooms blend, prosciutto, romano, sweet vermouth butter sauce, arugula. This was a very solid dish, with probably the right amount of spice to make it “spicy” for most, but not for me. Also I would have liked to get a bit more of the vermouth. Decent sized portion and very good flavor, just not my preference (Im watching the carbs). For dessert we each had a piece of the Blue Lemon – house baked olive oil cake, lemon jam, creak, blueberry caramel. Very tasty. Would definitely have again, as I need to “study” it some more.

Ive been a regular for a couple of years now but will not be going back. I usually go in alone to get a drink and catch some sports. I think recently they changed to another cable provider and now EVERYONE claims they dont know how to work the system or change the channel, including the regional manager (he claimed he didnt want to know). May seem like a trivial issue but today I came in, looked around to make sure no one was watching the channel, and asked if they wouldnt mind putting a basketball game on. An hour later the channel gets changed to womens golf. May sound like a small thing but when every employee says they dont know how to work the TV system, learn to work it or remove the TVs. I cant patronize a place where everyone claims stupidity.

It was my first time. I sat on the patio, and I have to say service at first was unacceptable, it took 30 mins, but a few more minutes later I had a meatball dish from heaven cooked for a King. I got the Smoked Meatballs, which is served with a fried egg on top. It was very good, but I think there is too much spice in the pasta, which over flavors the fried egg. I had enough food for two meals on the dish which cost $20. Unfortunately after waiting an incredibly long time trying to pay with card, I can only give them 3 stars. Bottom line, food was great, but service sucks, and I would likely not go back.

I really only liked the meatball pasta they serve. Theres this really nice blonde (waitress I believe) who was the sole reason we ate here was just to see her and they got rid of her! When I inquired about her I was told that some tight-wad named Jeff reviewed her on open table and said she was rude! To Jeff: You must be some brain dead retard whos momma must have dropped on his head when he was a baby. You wouldnt know good service if it was handed to you on a silver platter. For the management, bad call. We requested her everytime we ate here. We will not be coming back. Bravo...

Havent been for dinner yet, but brunch is HORRIBLE. I ordered the breakfast flatbread and this is what came. If I wanted to assemble my own flat bread I would have cooked at home. This was ridiculous to eat, and the flavor wasnt even there. Not to mention we also ordered the French toast and the bread used was literally the bread they use for dinner service. It was tough, salty, and stale. The waiter seemed confused when I ordered any of the brunch items like he was confused they even have brunch. Dont know about other meal services, brunch was abysmal.

Love the food - the Asian spicy noodle ROCKED! My son loved his Kobe Beef Burger. And their Moscow Mules are so fresh and yummy for summer time with fresh blueberries. Attentive but not over-bearing staff. Shh, dont tell, but theres rarely a wait on a Friday or Saturday night, compared to the other Town Square eateries. Put this on your list of spots to visit and you wont be disappointed. This corner location has seen several restaurants come and go over the last 10 years. Lets keep this place in business (but not too busy that we cant get a table!)

The food and price is not on par. The ideas that make up the food are off and on. Order a chicken parmesan (PASTA dish) and receive a chicken arugula salad with a side of pasta buried underneath. The small amount of pasta I dug up was delicious. The chicken was overcooked and bland and the arugula was bitter and tasted of pure vinegar. The chefs skills are below average for the quality of restaurant. Where the chef truly falls short is his/her culinary expertise in menu design. Business looks/runs great, now its time to get the food up-to-speed.

We were a little underwhelmed with the menu. There were too many spicy items/ components without milder substitute offerings. I had the turkey burger with fig salad as my side. Generous portion for a side salad, but the burger was disappointing. It had a distinct chemical chargrilled burger taste that reminded us of something else that I cant quite identify, and despite being a "lean" burger, it was doused in mayo. Would definitely chose something else next time. The flatbread sampler looked appealing.

I ordered the chicken sandwich and one of the sides listed with this meal was a Caesar salad. They did not tell me that the salad would be $6 extra. Then, because we had a party of 10, they charged us a 20% gratuity! Since we were there for a friends birthday, I couldnt really say anything without making a scene so they had me in a vice. I will not be back.
