We had read about this place somewhere and since we try to keep our dollars local we were excited to try NEXT. Its a small cozy intimate place. We like it. So far so good. Our waiter sounds very quaint with his french accent when he recites the specials of the day, WITH prices. (Dinner Specials are about twice what the printed menu items are - be warned) and not any bigger or better than the regular menu items. Im sorry to say none of the food was anything special. It sounded special when recited with a french accent and the presentation was nice but it was just average. Along the lines of Macs I would say. When youre paying $34 for a piece of fish and a few veggies it should be better than it was. The wait staff was ... lacking. There were plenty of people working but for such a small restaurant they seemed distracted. We had to repeatedly ask for things. Hey wait, in France they dont tip. Maybe we shouldnt have tipped French waiter? The one thing that totally made us cringe was that they charge $1 for a plate of bread. We spent over $200 and they charged us $1 for a plate of bread! And it wasnt even good bread. Just a hunk of french bread. We really wanted to like this place but there are way too many great places to eat with really great service that deserve my dollars. Sorry NEXT, we expected more for our money.

I have got to say that I am very disappointed. When you charge $45+ for an entree, I expect that entree to be prepared perfectly. You should be giving me your best, and that simply did not happen the last time I took my family to this place. The elk tenderloin was tough and extremely salty. My wife ordered the "veal bolognese" believing it to be an actual bolognese. It was a ground vela ragu poured over severely under-cooked egg noodles. The noodles were damn near inedible. Upon notifying the waiter, he apologized and there was no attempt to rectify the matter at all. We left extremely disappointed and will never return. If you want a very nice dinner and you prefer a large selection of high-end wines, I highly recommend Lonesome Dove Western Bistro as an alternative.

Delicious Food, Very Expensive. We were caught off guard by the unassuming exterior and "bistro" in the name. We looked this place up online and decided the menu looked good, but there were no prices listed on their website. When we got there, we were surprised but how expensive everything was. My husband ordered the fish special (Dover Sole), and I almost died when the bill came and it was $54.00 for fish of the day! They asked us if we wanted bread and that was on the bill as well, they charged us for bread! With a place as expensive as this they should at least have tablecloths on the tables, not bare Formica and bread should be included with the meal. Delicious food, but we will not be returning. We have other favorite places for that kind of money.

My wife and I dined at Next Bistro a few weeks ago for the first time. We are still talking about how fantastic the food and service were across the board. We had Crab Cake and Fried Lobster appetizers, the Bacon Apple & Beet salad and the Poached Pear salad. All of these were delicious and uniquely flavorful. Our entrees were the Dover Sole and the Buffalo Filet. Both were prepared to perfection with amazing seasonings. We enjoyed all of this with a Fischer Coach Insignia Cab selected from one of the best wine lists in DFW. (Thanks Francois) I cannot believe it took us so long to find this spot! It is truly one of the best restaurants in North Texas. Move over Bobs, Trulucks, Grace, St. Emillion ..... Next Bistro is the best place now!

Our family visited on Fathers Day, June 16th. We were told we could only order off the special FD menu, which was $35 per person, for a small appetizer, main dish (brunch item) and dessert. We were shocked, especially since the restaurant was empty. We asked if we could just order off the menu and the answer was "no". The "special menu" was actually more than what the total of each item was on the menu. Really?? I wrote a very nice letter to the owner hoping to get at least an acknowledgement that I cared enought to send a letter before posting to the world, but still havent heard anything. We do like to support local businesses, and food was good. But we cannot recommend based on our experience.

We went there for the first time last night and was pleasantly suprised at the interior decor. Menu seemed a little light but some nice items on it, albeit a bit pricey. My husband ordered the Beef wellington and he was VERY dissapointed with the size of the beef, could not have been more than 4ozs for $30.00, but he still wanted to eat it as it is his favorite thing to eat. After taking the first bite, he said that the meat did not taste right, told the waitress and her response was " oh, thats too bad" and walked away, he could only eat half of it and by the time we got home he was horribly sick. We will not be trying this place again !!!

Great bistro. Great memory of server to recognize us after only 1 visit. Awsome wine list not particularly crafted for the cheap wine drinker, but rather an eager to seasoned drinker to really choose a unique bottle. Good and healthy portions of food not intended for super sized eaters. A cozy local bistro that is a gem close to home. Best wine list in Tarrant county. I sort of like the adult clientele, with minimal kids menu... works well. Service staff seems to be veterans and experienced. Bartender needs attitude adjustment with snappy, curt comments, being the biggest downer around. A independent jewel in a city of chains.

Its hard to say you had a good dining experience when you have left the restaurant hungry after several courses. I ordered the homemade gnocchi, and though the quality was great, the small child sized portion left me with an empty plate that was quickly swept away by the wait staff as if it were never there. Not to be fooled by the grand size of the dish with its elegant broad rim, seven miniature pasta balls carefully spaced across the flat base of the platter easily puts the dish around $2 per bite, and leaves you eagerly spectating the neighboring entrees for leftovers... But unfortunately there were none to be found.

We moved to Colleyville one year ago and are extremely lucky to have this neighborhood gem nearby. The wine list is sublime. Argentina, Italy, California, France are all represented well. The waitstaff is personable and always remember you. The vegetarian pizza is just the right amount of cheese and sauce with garlic and fresh veggies. I crave it and Im a carnivore! We have had date nights and large family or friend get togethers and everyone leaves satisfied. Dont miss out on this local establishment!

Not worth the price! The food is alright but the portions are incredibly small. It cost $6 for a small side salad! The wine was expensive and had a small selection if you bought by the glass. It is a very small place and is very loud inside, you can tell it use to be an old taco bell. There are plenty of small Italian restaurants in the area with better food, prices and atmosphere.
