il Calabrese was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had. We got engaged yesterday and went there to celebrate and we figured it would be good, but we had no idea that it would be above and beyond great. The staff was all very pleasant and our waitress Suzie (spelling?) was excellent and very helpful. We could not decide what to eat and so we got 2 appetizers and 3 entrees and a dessert just to get a little bit of everything. First, if you dont order the bruschetta youre just wrong. It was ridiculously good. All 3 entrees (regular lasagna, chicken parm and something else I cant remember the name of) were just perfect. I dont like Italian food, I went for my fiance because she loves it. However, I ate every single thing that came out and loved it. For dessert the banana cheesecake wrap is a must. Dont even look at the dessert menu, just get that. The chef came out and talked with us as well and he was so polite and great to talk with. This was the perfect restaurant to celebrate at and we cant wait to go back. If youre looking for an upscale, nice place with excellent food then look no further! **pricing of the food was very fair. We anticipated $100 for everything and came in well under budget even with going crazy and ordering 2 apps, 3 entrees and 1 dessert. I think each app was $8, each entree was ~$15-18.

A special place where you can relax or celebrate. My husband and I dined here tonight for my birthday and enjoyed a wonderful evening. Our server, Giorgio, was very helpful and attentive. Being from Sicily his accent was thick but he was patient as we had him repeat a few things. All of his recommendations were spot-on. The charcuterie appetizer special was great including a wonderful black truffle honey. The pecorino was too strong for my cheddar-loving husband but that just left more for me! I had a dish with squid-ink pasta and lobster, divine; my husband raved about his canneloni. And the Foccacia appetizer, we had it served with our meal and it almost outshone the entrees. Dessert was very good, both the Almond Pear cake and Bread Pudding. The restaurant is beautiful inside and it felt like Dallas dining. Patrons wore everything from jeans or shorts to sports jackets. Ask for Giorgio and enjoy your evening.

I went with with a friend and the food was delicious and the service was excellent. Aaron W was our waiter and he was super friendly and helpful. The ambiance was modern and quite lovely. It seems like a great place to take someone on a date. Everything we ordered seemed very fresh and appetizing. We had the crab cakes. You know its good when they give you two all meat crab cakes, with two separate sauces drizzled on each one. The Carpaccio Di Manzo was light and fresh (raw sliced beef). For my entree, I went the safe route and had the Chicken Parmigiana. My friend, the adventurous one, had the Cannelloni Di Pollo E Salsiccia. It had so much flavor and the sauce was rich and creamy. We ended the meal with a Banana Cheesecake Wrap. Normally a dessert like this, is oily and super sweet, but with this, it was light and fluffy, and it had just the right amount of sweetness to complement the already delicious meal.

Im trying to figure out why we waited so long to try this restaurant, because it was flat out terrific. They have a spacious patio, which was perfect for the cool evening weather (in early October). Probably would be comfortable for most of the year, except perhaps the dead cold of winter or the scorching heat of a summer day. We started with the mussels (Cozze In Padella), which were fabulous - just enough garlic flavoring and a little buttery sauce on the side. My wife had the sea bass with lump crab meat and spinach (Branzino Con Spinaci E Granchio), and I had the veal chop (Costolette Di Vitello Al Rosmarino). We agreed that hers barely edged mine out in terms of overall flavor, but both were delicious enough that we would very likely order them again next time. Definitely adding this place to the "repeat visit" list.

Amazing food. Service was amazing the first time we came. Tonight...not so much, only three other tables in the restaurant and waiters standing around and our waiter felt no need to work either. Stood by the door talking to his friends while the table next to us was receiving the service they deserved,,he didnt bring us our food, didnt ask once if we needed anything, we had to beg another waiter for cracked pepper while he was offering it to his table. And didnt offer us dessert, so wanted the banana cheesecake again. Sad thing is we cant quit the Margherita pizza..so heres to hoping our most recent waiter will be on permanent vacation next time we go back and our original waitress has been promoted for setting the bar high. The food was a huge disappointment! Both rigatoni and lasagna we ordered first time we went there were so basic in flavors to the point that we actually did not like it. This was one of the worst Italian food we ordered in years. Flavors of their dishes are very underwhelming, something you would expect in a crappy Italian place, not in expensive fancy looking restaurant rated 5 starts! They try to wow you with expensive looks and seems that people get fooled based on all the reviews. Cocktails were good and service was good, I wont complain about that at all. However I cannot believe people rate this place so high while their food is so bad. Would never come back nor recommend to anyone.

The place to go if you want to enjoy a freshly prepared meal, an enthusiastic atmosphere, and staff who genuinely care about your experience. Despite what people may presume, it is a family owned restaurant that is family friendly! The owner brings his small children in all the time. ASK what they offer for children; the options allow you to customize pizza or pasta to your childrens liking. Take if from someone who has eaten there since their conception, there is something for everyone. My kid has even made friends with the awesome valet, Mr. Carlos.

This is a huge step up from Patrizios which used to be here. The layout was kept exactly the same which is nice because it was already very chic, but the service and food was leaps and bounds better. You could taste the freshness throughout the meal and our waitress actually pointed out the herb garden they have right outside the restaurant that they use for every dish. They bring you plenty of delicious bread with a trio of delicious olive oil, olive spread, and some kind of red pepper spread. Perfect for a date or any kind of dressed up event.

Ottimo l antipasto di granchio e l insalata di mare fredda. Anche il tiramisù era molto buono. Very beautiful restaurant, kind barman, good food, not too expensive.

Our food was excellent! Our group of 6 ordered carpaccio, steak salad, mushroom ravioli, pizza, salmon... All very tasty and well prepared. Service was not 5 star. Our waiter would walk away after only talking with 2 or 3 people at our table. The restaurant was up to par on cleanliness and atmosphere. Would definitely return.

Management was awful. The experience was disorganized and seemed stressed. One of the managers (the short, fat blonde) was extremely rude and did not seem interested in doing her job correctly. Had to wait too long even though I had a reservation and when I asked about it I was rudely confronted. Will never come here again.
