This was honestly the worst service Ive had ever had at a restaurant. And I know what good service is Ive been a server before. They were quick to seat us, but left us at our table for a good 10-15 min before a server came to greet us. Then took another 10 minutes to get our drinks, chips & salsa. Once our orders were taken it took about 30+ minutes to get our food. When we got our meal I noticed we didnt have rice on our plates and our meals came with it.. so our server didnt Come to check on us for another 15min and I asked if our meals come with rice, she said "uh yeah were out of rice" Im like sooo you werent going to tell us? She said "well I can get your sour cream or something." Didnt even comp the check, I didnt even bother asking. That probably wouldve taken 20 minutes. And no they werent even busy for our server to neglect us like they did. Decent food.. the tea was good. Wont be returning.

We just had dinner at The Big Donkey restaurant. The food and service was great but watch out for the drink specials on the weekends. They tell you that the large 20 oz margaritas are just $3.00. We ordered four of them for our party of four. When we were just about done with our dinner and drinks the waiter came by and said the margaritas were not on special on weekends. He said they were now $7.99 each and they couldnt give them to us because of Texas law. He offered us a desert for their mistake. Manager came by and wouldnt do anything but give us two deserts and said he would give us 10% off on next meal. I dont think that we will be back. If you order drinks on weekend, I would be careful about any specials they say they have. I would not recommend this restaurant to friends.

We had a party of 6. We came in at quarter til 9 at night. We had to wait 15-20 min which we thought that was not bad. We got sat down and waited for some one to come and get our drink order which took 10 min to get and order our food at the same time as our drinks since it took so long. Finally after waiting over 45 min for our food we received it. Three of the plates were cold and other where warm but not hot. One of them did not have sauce for the fish tacos and they just wanted my husband to eat them dry. Instead of telling him that they were out of sauce. He could have chosen something different. The waiter was great but food was aweful! The manger was rude. Would not recommend to anyone to eat there.

The waiter was clueless about virtually everything and was disturbingly humorous; the food was mediocre at best (everyone in the party of 5 got something different and we all agreed); the salsa was essentially hot (in temperature, not spice) pasta sauce with Tabasco; the bill was wrong; they couldnt do split checks; and the margaritas conveniently had no prices listed (despite being $13 each when the bill came) and had nearly zero noticeable alcohol in them; and they suspiciously asked about IDs and mentioned law enforcement and the waiter getting in trouble but refused to check the ID when offered. The whole place seemed like a bad experiment or like we were on candid camera.

To be honest, I was skeptical about this place based on other reviews. However, when its off season at SPI, you take what you can get. Needless to say I was very surprised how good everything was. The service was excellent, the food was absolutely tasty and the margarita was to die for. I ordered the Mexican Tacos, which are served open-faced with cheese and avocado. I opted for a side of the pinto beans versus refried and of course rice. My mom ordered the Chili Relleno and my husband ordered the beef fajitas. Im sure there wasnt a scrape of food left on our plates. I cant wait to dine here again next time we visit the island.

Unfortunately we just had a terrible experience at this place. I came with a group of friends and we were a total of 12 people. We were ready for a long wait. After waiting two hours we were seated in diferente tables. The waiter informed us that there were not going to be chips and salsa because it was kind of late. A few of us ordered grill chicken. After waiting 30 more minutes we were informed they no more chicken for the day. The waiter did a great job, but the kitchen personnel and managers are totally out of control. Terrible place, not recommended at all.

The place is not that clean. Is the typical Mexican restaurant that he employees is using their cell phone to check on their Facebook and forget about the costumes and to cleaning around. The food was ok good portion but everything is very high price just like the other restaurants on the island. The cheapest plate there is 6.99$ a children meal. I saw the bar peaplo washing the cups that they use to prepare the drinks on a water that was seating on the sink that was nasty. Reason why I dont drink. Plus the bar was also dirty and the bathroom was sting.

Dude, this place was so effin dope! I loved it, My wife loved it! Besides the diarrhea, this place was epic! Seriously, Im kidding about the diarrhea, I have a different kidn of humor, but my wife and friends loved it so much and the staff was leh-git!! Our favorite server whom we hope to be there when we go back was Henry! IF anyone is going soon make sure you get served by him. Hes extremely friendly and servile. And really sweet. What a guy! Maragitas are strong and on point! A-1 butta sauce!

I have to say that the food here was quite good (not exeptional) but it was the very rude and obnoxious manager who has ruined this dining experience for me. The waitress brought us the wrong entre _ mistakes happen, no problem. But an appology would have been a nice gesture. But the manager was rude and dismissive. I would never return to this restaurant or any other owned by the same people if this is the caliber of staff they employ. Must be the same man from the previous post!

The service was wonderful, our waitress was very attentive to her tables, our drinks were never empty and we didnt have to ask for refills. She was very knowledgeable about the items on the menu and made our trip there enjoyable. The food was awesome, had great flavor and definitely hits the mark for Authentic Mexican Food. Very pleased with the food and service we received and we plan on returning to eat here once more before we leave the island to return home.

Yeah they fed us, so we did eat, but the quality wasnt good. The guacamole tasted off, almost minty. We ordered drinks, and they were big, but didnt taste like there was any actual liquor in it, and when the bill came and we saw that our margaritas were $13, we definitely knew we made a mistake. Fluffy taco was super greasy, cheese on top was not melted properly, just looked old. I never write restaurant reviews but this place was a disappointment.
