Have been a few times. Always happy and full when I leave. Great menu gives even picky eaters choices. Menu is available on website. I do not eat seafood, but even I could tell the seafood was really fresh and prepared correctly. I got the Padre Burger cooked medium. The Pico de Gallo and avocado were definitely freshly prepared, and burger was cooked correctly. My last visit was with a group of 7 and everybody was happy. The P.I. Brewing Co. as their name implies brews beer on premise. Nothing fancy, traditional styles are represented well. Draft beer can be taken to go, so bring your/buy a growler. There is a full bar and great bartenders. P.I. Brewing Co. merchandise is available, see website. Growler aficionados may be interested in purchasing a drinktanks double wall stainless steel growler(not seen on website) these are available in 128oz size! They also sell the available keg cap, which takes a co2 charge and will keep your drinktanks brand growler under pressure keeping your beer fresh for weeks. Look the brand drinktanks up online for questions. I only added the plug for drinktanks because craft beer freaks will understand.

I had the seafood basket. The butterflied shrimp were great (3 pieces) but the fried oysters had so much breading they were raw on the inside, making them inedible. The fried fish was bland and tasteless. My husband had a burger, which was mediocre and unseasoned. Why all the empty beer bottles on the wall if you carry only three domestics? My daughter got the pizza, which was very good. We had a blonde ale and the wheat, both which were lukewarm at best, and mediocre in flavor. All of our drinks needed ice and we kept asking the waitress for ice, which she brought one glass of. She was nice but not very helpful with the menu. No beer menu? I guess you are just expected to read the chalkboard if you want to know the specials. Nothing was volunteered, and we were frustruated the entire meal. Maybe it was the language barrier, maybe it was too loud, anyhow we left with the knowledge that we would never be back. Our money could be better spent somewhere else.

We were seated by a courteous person, then waited at least 15 minutes to be served by this guy named Rick.He had a chip on his shoulder and a BAD ATTITUDE!!!He was impatient with my wife, and treated me like I was REALLY irritating him by just being there!!When he brought the food,he completely disregarded the fried pickles with cheese curds the place boasts so much about, that I had ordered!!The food was just passable at best,my wife said the pork ribs were pretty good, but it was NOTHING outstanding! He treated us like he wanted us the HELL OUT OF THERE!!!That,we did,I left him NO tip,and we will never return to this joint again!!I HIGHLY reccomend against it,it is NOT WORTH IT!!!Of all the awesome and hospitable people we have here on South Padre Island, let alone all around the gulf,in general, this was a COLD SLAP IN THE FACE!!!!There are better places than this one!If you DO go,DONT GET SERVED BY RICK!!

Let me start out by saying that once I was heavily under the influence and had the munchies so bad that I ate a bag of uncooked Ramen and that meal was gourmet compared to the food at this place! Do not order the crab cakes, so bad I dont know how to describe. The free bread that came w/the meal would not have been served at Auschwitz.....it was not bread!!! There was no point in ordering a burger anywhere below overly well done and if youre thinking about ordering the catch of the day youre gonna be one sick idiot. Im from Wisconsin the cheese curds are far from "Wisconsin cheese curds", I would not feed them to my dog. The sauce on the ribs was terrible, like thick congealed goop and tasted more like beer than BBQ. All three of us took about two bites and left. DO NOT EAT HERE! YUCK!!

The beers are great, and I liked even the beers from styles I dont really care for - but the stout and wheat were big winners in my family. A $7 tasting flight with a few ounces of each beer is a great deal, and provided enough for our family of four to have several sips each of every beer. The prices are amazing, too - this is a better bargain than we usually find in Austin. The beer battered shrimp, a recommendation from our delightful server Max, were amazing - quite possibly the best Ive ever had. The garlic manged potatoes and the herb roasted potatoes are both excellent as well. If youre looking for something a little cheaper than the $30 plates around the island, you owe it to yourself to check out Padre Island Brewing Co.

We enjoyed our visit to Padre Island Brewing Co. We were seated right away and received our food quickly; the server was friendly and attentive. I had the nachos and a margarita; both were pretty good. My husband, on the other hand, raved about his entire meal. He ordered beer-battered, crab-stuffed mushrooms; a burger (cant remember which); and the $7 flight of beer. He particularly commented that the burger was perfectly cooked to his specification (medium-rare) and that he liked all five beers in the flight, which is unusual for him. The only improvement i would have made was that the lights were very bright ... they needed to be dimmed a little for some late night ambiance :-)

Always have loved the brewery and all the different micro brews but tonight had the WORSE service ever!!!!! The waitress was so interested into talking to her friends at the next table that we had to ask her after a half hour if she had our table. Then she never checked back and we had to ask other people for help. Never did get any attention from her but the next table with "her friends" got plenty attention and appeared to be quite "drunk". She appeared to have only that table. We will never come to eat here again. But we will go to the bar for better service and have a beer. Never will eat there again...... did I say we will never eat there again........

Beer is great 5 star.. every time I go the bar keep is great his name is Roman. Great bar guy. Rest of staff suxs they always in bad mood. Place is hit or miss on food. If its fried more then likely it will taste good. What fried food doesnt ?. I always get shrimp wrap . Which good not great with side of beans which suxs. U except this place have pride on there staff and thway food taste. Just the way big city brewers do when they serve food. In big city alot bars and brewery serve food thats till die for. Not here.. they really need a makeover. In food and friendly staff dept. Go for the beer maybe the pizza..

We take our kids to South Padre every summer for a beach vacation. We usually stay 7 or 8 days and when we do we make an effort to come to this restaurant at LEAST twice. They have an upstairs deck that is open on the weekends and that is the best time to go. Right at Sunset. You cant beat it. The beer is really good and the food was surprisingly good. The food is a little pricey but not overpriced. Not in comparison to any of the other big restaurants on the island. The food IS WAY better than any of the other big restaurants on the island and the service is always good. Its a must when you are in Padre.
