Never Again! This used to be my favorite restaurant until last night on my birthday (went every year for 5 years) I would order fajitas and they would come out fresh and sizzling on an iron plate. Last night they came out looking dead like they had been sizzling maybe the day before I tried to get through it and then thought this was my birthday and returned the plate and told the waiter how disappointed I was. She said she would tell Alex the manager. After she failed to return we decided we would go to the cashier and hopefully the item would be refunded or discounted or something but Alex said there was nothing that he could do nothing at all. I hope the fact that half of our party was black had nothing to do with it. But I always thought the customer was always right especially on a special occasion. If there was some gesture to retain us as customers I would have gladly just accepted it as a bad night for the cook, but I left there feeling bad and it kind of put a damper on my birthday celebration. So I will never go back or recommend them again.

The moment I sat down I was given the best homemade chips that Ive had in a Mexican restaurant. They were warm, and freshly made. With these chips were some really awesome red salsa and some quite spicy salsa verde. Then we ordered the small order of guacamole for $4. When that arrived we received about two giant handfuls of guacamole! We then ordered the $4 Bloody Mary which was delicious! For the entree, we got the chicken fajitas that are served on a sizzling hot plate with beans n cheese, n rice. I must admit that the first order of fajitas that we received were beef fajitas instead of chicken however as soon as we pointed this out to the bartender he immediately returned them and came back within a few minutes with chicken fajitas. I would have given this place a 4 bc of that error but the bartender was sooo nice and didnt skip a beat when fixing it, we were left with nothing but smiles... I RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO EVERYONE LOOKING FOR GREAT DEALS, FRIENDLY SERVICE, AND DELICIOUS FOOD!!!

The weirdest thing was I was served white rice when everyone else was served Spanish rice even though we had the same dish. I assume it was because I was the only white boy at the table (semi-joking). But then I went back to the menu to find out if white rice even existed as an option, but found nothing. My friend said I got the white rice because Im a honkey gringo... LOL oh well. Guess the white privilege the media is pounding into everyone is spreading the hate. As far as the rest of the food, I used to go here only for the mole, but it was way off compared to what it used to be... Just another place added to the "no go" zone in San Marcos.

The food here is very delicious, Ill admit that I was bothered by the wait time (~30min), but it was definitely worth it! The staff was very friendly, and the food was delicious, I ordered the Mexican enchiladas which are a good option if you want to get full, the cheese dip for the nachos is also a must have. Service was a bit slow, we werent asked for refills until we were about to leave. Note, the wait time seemed to have been a bit longer than normal due to an influx of tourists, as this was before the 4th of July, Im pretty sure that the wait time is lesser than my experience. I will definitely return again!

at first the visit went well then something was off with the bill and I tried to get it resolved with the manager. He was absolutely not help but made things worse! he had a real smart mouth on him. very disrespectful! horrible customer service. I should of just walked out of the stinking place. The staff were kinda just standing around when they werent busy making really loud noises and being very unprofessional. will NEVER return and will NEVER suggest this place to anyone!!!!! EVER

This is the worst Mexican food place ive ever been to and Ive been to some hole in the wall places. The waitress was dumb as a doorknob and charged extra for every little thing. We wanted lemons in our water and were charged for them. We were only given two tortillas with our meal and were charged extra for two more the meat we were given was all fat and looked like scrap pieces that were chewed and spit back up. I wouldnt recommend this place to my worst enemy.

First visit – will not be coming back: – Very noisy, loud, conversation difficult – Mediocre food and pricey – Margaritas looked nice, but Slurpee-weak – Long lines, yet many empty tables – Check not itemized - difficult to get one – WAY OVERCHARGED, paid after waiting for explanation This place is too popular -- too rude -- and too sold on itself. Virtually anywhere else has better food, service and prices. Save yourself the wait and disappointment

Took my family there to try and the food wasnt bad,I ordered shrimp fajitas and I was supposed to get 7 and I only got 5,I told the manager and he did reduce the price for me. Its also pretty clean but our waitress wasnt very attentive, we ran out of our drinks and had to ask for refills, the margaritas are great. When we went to leave the bakery was closed but they were nice enough to let us get stuff anyway

Food was good. Service was awful. I have only been there once, so I hate to judge the service on just one visit. Would not give us Mimosas (Sunday, Texas law..no drinks on Sunday before noon, unless you have food in front of you) until our actual meals came out...Although we had ordered and paid for chips and salsa. Not that busy, and waitress would disappear forever. Again, first time....so...

We are from out of town. We randomly picked casa maria. When we arrived on a Friday night they were busy which is a good sign. It gave us time to see what they had in the bakery. The salsa is very good, lots of cilantro and spice. The food was full of flavor. We shared the enchiladas suizas, it was perfect. They had a live band. I felt as if we were in the heart of Mexico eating dinner.

Our first time eating here was last night 1/2/16. The atmosphere was great, waitress friendly, food delicious BUT...the very moment we were eating and my daughter spotted a roach crawling across the wood on the wall of the booth we were sitting in, that was the end of our meal and ever coming back to this place. Too disgusting for words!!

Dont understand the bad reviews but its fair every one has their opinion, as for mine: i loved it, we were there for breakfast, atmosphere awesome, everything we order was delicious, real authentic Mexican food! The coffee was great, and i am a very picky eater n when it comes to cleanliness and service great! :)
