BOTTOM LINE: Ill never enter those doors again! Ever!!! My rating on todays experience was ZERO Stars. Been regular Sunday morning customer for years. Today, Fathers Day, walked in, sat at a table and was asked how many at your table? Response: Six. Wife went to greet one of the employees and by yet another employe - the same question was asked. How many in your party? While she was being asked for a second time - our waiter brought menus to the table. I informed the waiter, we would not require menus. I got smart # remark, so you want be eating? No, I replied, were regulars and know what we want. Waiter responded: well at least you will need napkins and silverware. During our patronage of this establishment, we have never taken more table space than needed - taken only the space that would be needed, usually with 5-8 sometimes more in attendance. YES, IT WAS FATHERS DAY, and thank you and your staff for making it such a wonderfull experience -NOT!!! Dont need their attitude. My experience with their customer service has continued to declined over the years.

This is place is a mess! We have been there many many times. But not anymore, as we have had mostly unpleasant experiences time and time again. For one they are under staffed or just too slow. The people who own or run the place and the wait staff are never friendly. The lady who works at the register who I think is one of the owners has no personality. She is not courteous and is rude, and ugly with a horrible attitude. She should not be working the register, because she has no customer service skills. The food is overpriced. The wait time from being seated to receiving your food can be up to 45 minutes. Today the wait time for a to go order when my wife decided to stop in and order was 40 minutes for 8 tacos. The orders are frequently messed up by everyone. The place is very small and they still cant keep up with customers. I will never go back again!

I give it 2 stars for the food only. The service really sucked here. It took them 20 minutes to approach our table and get menus. Our waiter then said that she didnt know we were her table. She takes our orders, then takes 20 more minutes to bring our drinks. Mind you, we only got them cause we asked another waiter. For such a small place with so many employees youd think the service would be outstanding. I wish I was exaggerating with these times, but altogether, we waited about 53 minutes from the time we Sat, to the time we got our food. This place only seats about 100 and it was no where near packed.

First time in the place and we felt like regulars. The only thing that topped the atmosphere and service was the food. The Chori Quiles, chilaquiles with chorizo, were simply amazing. My wife gave me a taste of her barbacoa and it was so lean. Even after adding some of their salsa verde, it still wasnt dripping down my arm. Last, but not least, you cant have Mexican food without tortillas. These were probably the best weve had in quite some time. They were thick, soft, and tender. The perfect accompaniment to the meal. We cant wait to go back and try out the lunch/dinner menu.

As a childhood friend of the owner, that has no bearance for the reason I chose to have my Fathers Day breakfast here. The food is legitimately delicious. My wife and I are very picky when it comes to ordering Menudo,....and Sazon Mexican Cafe scores an A++ with us. We ordered the Crudo Special ( The Hangover Special). Although we dont drink alcohol, this combination special is the perfect oder, and as always, the restaurant was filled to occupancy, and the service was just as great as the food being served.

Went with a family of five. Wait was minimal. I do recommend to get there a little earlier on the weekend as the line starts to grow as the morning goes. Had the migas and it was good sized portion, tasted good too. Nothing extraordinary. Great home made tortillas served to everyone. Daughter had the bean and cheese taco and couldnt finish it, so I finished off that bad boy, it was tasty! Very reasonably priced. Id say a family of four could eat for $30 - $35 with drinks, coffee and such.

Despite the poor reviews listed here, we stopped to give it a try. So glad we did. The food was excellent, the prices reasonable, and the staff very friendly. The puffy taco was a little greasy, but that is the only negative we could find. We are in town for a week and will definitely be back for more. I suspect the poor reviews came from local competitors, trying to sway customers. I have no vested interest in this place or thier competition. I just enjoy great food and this place has it.

We are regular customers and totally disagree..!! Sazon is Top Rate..!! First of all the person below needs to learn proper grammar and spelling.. How could it be very "EXPENCIVE" yet you would go there all the time? I believe $0.99 cent tacos and $4.99 lunch specials are comparatively inexpensive. The "Fajetas" tacos are very good and can you please let us all know where we can find $0.50 cent sodas excluding the generic brands.. We also truly enjoy the family environment..

First time here had read the reviews about how good this place was went this morning (Wifes 60th Birthday) I ordered the Sazon Special bacon regular (not crispy) came out crispy Wife ordered the eggs & pork chop it came out tasting really greasy (like they used the grease to cook something else in it) although it looked like they were cooked on one side only flour tortillas were really good as were the charro beans.drove out of our way to try this place out WONT be going back

My family and I get together for dinner here almost every Friday. It may be cliche to say that they treat you like family, but thats exactly how I feel about Sazon and thats why I love going there. The food is excellent, dont get me wrong. (Award-winning Tortilla Soup) But being around the people who work at and patronize the restaurant is always enjoyable. And the owners are very involved in charity work, which makes me feel even better about spending money there.

Seriously the best food in San Antonio... my first time here and won my heart (tastebuds)..the crudo special was the best decision at 10am...the service, attention to detail and constant checking in by our waiter is the best...will be our come to from now on and will recommend to everyone I know!!! Oh and all the art on the walls which many you can make your own is just an extra jolt for me..I love art and food and both together is truly 100%.

Ive been here multiple times and the food is consistently good. Service is relatively fast, depending on time of day. Ive had both breakfast and lunch plates. Chiquiles, carne guisada, caldo, barbacoa, enchiladas, chalupas, rice and beans. Everything Ive ordered has had a good taste. With the Caldo I did wish it had a bit more vegetables, but it might have been because I ordered one late in the morning.
