I always kind of avoided this place because it was a former pizza hut and still had the pizza hut feel to it but my family and I were feeling adventurous. The decor is not the fanciest. Its like high end flea market Japanese decorative elements meets practical no nonsense brown tables and chairs. Definitely not a first date restaurant, granted not every place should be or is. The service was great. Our server was knowledgeable and very friendly without being overbearing. I tried to order the vegetarian ramen but they had run out because they make their own in house soup bases and sauce. We went kind of late so totally understandable. What we did order worked out well. The portions were generous and the food was tasty. Presentation was okay, nothing creative but sensible. My son had the all you can eat sushi option which was really awesome. The way it works is that you can order two sushi dishes, you cant share and whatever you do not finish you will incur a charge (prorated to what is unfinished). Very reasonable given that they didnt skimp on any of the ingredients and everything was freshly prepared. My son had to stop at four plates because he hadnt expected the portions to be as large as they were. Overall we had a great experience, would recommend for families.

So I come from a state where AYE sushi is the thing.most all Sushi restaurants are all you can eat so when my sister and I found this place we were excited! Well the taste of the sushi is good, not fresh but good. Every roll is tempura you get no options for sashimi ,uramaki or Nigiri options. The Wasabi and ginger is served in containers like salsa at a Mexican place that means its been at other tables..gross. the restrooms are dirty, womans room is out of order. ALSO THIS place offers BYOB not very sushi like. Although it is a twist. Server was okay he had 5 tables and seemed like he didnt care, took his time for everything. Texas needs to step up their sushi game, funny how even in the major cities they suck at it.

Dont judge a book by its cover! While this place was a bit off putting (its located inside an old Pizza Hut), the food was really great! We found them through a Groupon of 2 all-you-can-eat meals and thought to try them out. The service was a bit slow at first (only one waiter to serve 5+ tables), the ambiance is definitely lacking, but the food was not. We really enjoyed everything we tried, the server was very nice too. All in all, great food, okay service, bad ambiance. Without the Groupon, its a bit pricey for the total experience, but again, its got great food!

Worst sushi Ive ever had. We got the "all you can eat" lunch special and were charged EXTRA for not finishing all the sushi on our plate. Our unfinished sushi was not due to us ordering too much food- it was because the sushi tasted terrible and was not as described on the menu. This place also had tape all over the ceiling, napkins scattered about the floor and was very dark due to about 60% of the lights in the restaurant not working. I had a very good experience at the Kai Sushi on 410, but this place was the worst! A huge waste of $40.

Husband wanted to try this place out hearing that they served ramen noodles. Needless to say, it was the best noodles I ever had and my husband loved it. The service was absolutely wonderful and very polite. What surprised me the most was that he ate sushi that contained fish&crab, and mushrooms. He hates those the most but the flavors of each food were so good he couldnt taste the difference. Now I know for sure where I can eat Asian cuisine and he wont mind tagging along.

Very bad place. Avoid at all means. Food is not fresh, tastes bad. Greatly overpriced. You can get much tastier and fresher sushi going to the nearby HEB. Do not buy the deal thru Groupon as it would be a rip off. The place falsly advertised much higher price there and simply charge full price thru Groupon. Server has no idea that sushi is supposed to be served with Wasabi and ginger. It looks like their are not available at this eatery.

We came here with a Groupon and ordered two sushi rolls and an order of egg rolls. We are big sushi fans and were excited to try a new place. Both the sushi and the soup were pretty flavorless and the atmosphere was lacking. I was a bit surprised with the prices, you can get the same food but much better quality at a more upscale place. The only redeeming quality was our waitress. She was very sweet and attentive.

You can obviously tell that this restaurant is in an old Pizza Hut, but the atmosphere is negligible combined with the great food. We ordered at least 5 different rolls and there was not a single item that we did not absolutely love. Service was adequate and speedy and the prices are somewhat reasonable. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant to any one I know.

Teriyaki chicken bento I ordered, the chicken was good, the noodles were bland and the mixed rice just tasted plain. I have been to lots of other places like this and most of which have a better taste to me. Also tried the tuna, salmon, and fish; they werent the freshest, but tasted ok.

Service was fast and staff was nice , but the sushi I ordered was disappointing they leave details out of the menu that they add on when they prepare the sushi ...crab meat being spicy unexpectedly and spicy mayo being added to the sushi I would not recommend or come back myself

Got this as a Groupon for my wife for Christmas and she loved it. She said that some of the Rolls looked like a work of art and the flavor was excellent. Moderate to Expensive in price with a reasonable all you can eat price. Worth the money I spent for my wifes happiness.

We saw that Kai had opened up in the area an decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised with the sushi. Everything was fresh, great food and great service. The only thing missing was Asahi super dry. They are working on getting their liquor license.

Just had it delivered. We had 2 sushi rolls and the beef fried rice. Food was fantastic. The sushi was fresh and flavorful and the fried beef rice was perfect. My girlfriend, who barely likes Asian food, is raving about it
