Went on a Friday night, it was 9pm and was closed. As we walked to the car, the host came out and followed us and asked us to please come in and grab a bite. Very nice of them. Total mom and pop tex-mex spot. They play regional music, typical mexi-tejano tunes. Its quaint and small town ish and it shows. They specialize in enchiladas, which is an extensive list on their menu named after different cities and towns in Texas. We did not try the enchiladas. They serve free, yes free, margaritas on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Awesome!! We had a one. We were not very hungry, so we ordered their fajitas nachos with both beef and chicken fajitas. Each chip, there were about 14 of them, came with a heaping chunks of meat and cheese and beans. In the center of the plate were a scoop of guacamole and another of sour cream. I dont usually order nachos, but these were good. I will come back to try their signature dishes and more free margaritas.

Weve been wanting to try this place for a while and finally went there tonight. The ambience is great and they had a gentleman playing guitar and singing. Customer service and staff were very good. Upon opening the menu I couldnt help but notice that they use American cheese on most of there food. Really? A previous reviewer mentioned that the salsa was more similar to ketchup, which is fairly accurate. It was ok but I prefer a little cilantro which is just a personal preference. The tacos with ground beef had a good amount of oil dripping from the shell and I had to substitute American cheese from the taco. Maybe its just me but the American cheese just really is a turnoff. Margaritas were average and a little on the sweet side. Its worth trying if you want American cheese on your food. Thats just too weird for me.

This place is for people who like to play it safe with their food. You wont find a culinary adventure here. The menu selections are standard Tex-Mex and the overall flavor is kind of bland. The hot sauce was flavorful, but not hot, and the cheese dip was of the runny, straight out of the can variety. I had the Steak Curado which was actually tasty with a nice bit of zest, but the cut of meat left a little to be desired. My dining partner had enchiladas which she said were good, but just standard. Again, if you dont want your food to transport you to some exotic locale you may like the offerings here. I prefer a little more out of Mexican food. I wont ever return here because I can get what they offer anywhere (and get it better).

We came for dinner as a family of four. I appreciated the open front patio space for my boys to impatiently wait for our table(which was not very long). The service was warm, welcoming and friendly. It os such a cool and relaxed atmosphere. The prices were great, the bathroom was clean and my most favorite part was that my food came out HOT! If I had to find one thing that I did not like it would be the cheese enchilada. But I ordered the #13 combo and had plenty of other food to eat. I will definitely eat here again.

Unfortunately, my first time here was a bad experience and I wont be back. The queso doesnt have much flavor, but was hot when brought to the table. The number 6 that I ordered came to the table on a very hot plate, but the chicken enchiladas were room temperature. Our waiter was busy helping other customers, however, the staff at the staff at the front was able to take the food and remove it from my check. The waiter upon returning informed me that all plates come out of the kitchen hot.

First time trying this place out and I was very pleased. Food was really good, service was awesome and atmosphere was overall pleasant. Prices are fairly reasonable as you would expect at a casual restaurant. My only downfall is there was no menu for alcoholic beverages so I didnt know if they served mixed drinks or not. However, they do serve beer and wine. But I do recommend anyone to go here. Good place in downtown Rowlett.

My son and I came to dinner. We were immediately seated and served. The restaurant and staff are very clean and friendly. The food came out fast and hot. I had the chicken enchiladas with green sauce and sour cream sauce, he had a grilled chicken breast with rice - great portions, prices and wonderful flavors.

I tried this restaurant because of the reviews and was disappointed. In my experience it was mostly TEX and not very MEX. They dont make an actual "salsa taquera" (more of an authentic Mexican salsa used on street tacos) or so I was told. Having said that my wifes fajitas were pretty good.

Ive only been once, but my enchiladas were very very tasty. The chili con carne wasnt like goopy chili like most places have. Had a nice..maybe smokeyness. Very good! Id recommend the enchiladas to ya. Ill go back and try some other dishes for sure.

Tried this new restaurant today with some friends. Love the location and atmosphere. Chips and Salsa were great. Food came out quickly and hot. Wait staff was great. Food was a bit bland, needed some seasoning, especially the chicken.

Fantastic food reasonable prices. Great atmosphere with live and very talented musical entertainment. Only bad thing was I picked a time when ppl were taking their loud ass kids but thats out of their control, cant fault them for that.

Excellent Mexican in the heart of Rowlett. Vincent has Rowlett roots. I love the recent expansion and look forward to the liquor license and expanded hours once the Village is complete. Loyal customer
