Words cannot express how bad the place truly is but here goes: not handicapped accessible to the 2nd floor, staircase leading to upstairs is dangerously narrow and steep. I tripped 2 times in the 3 times I went up and down. These are dangerous and scary. The menu is English pub style with choices extremely limited, mainly including Scotch Eggs, whatever they may be. My sister and I had the meatloaf, mashed potatoes which were tasteless. Ugh. I threw half of my dinner away in the trashcan there as I was scared out food poisoning but neither one of us did get sick. I went to dance to the music which is upstairs. My sister has walking disabilities and could not make it up the stairs so she had to stay on the 1st cold dark floor by herself (only 3 other customers down the whole evening) while I went upstairs to see my friends. We were there to do Irish set dancing but the space upstairs was so small. The band was crammed against the back wall literally. It was crowded up there near the band (not so much throughout the rest of the upstairs however. We danced in a postage stamp size spaced while I was continually fearful of being ;tripped or stepping on fellow customers. I did not stay long. I dont usually complain about businesses but this one had so many negatives I just had to speak up. Visit at your risk. Dont eat the food.

Absolutely in love with this place after one visit. We sat upstairs and the atmosphere was lovely and authentic: iron plates with Irish blessings on the wall, perfect lighting, a fireplace and sofa and the perfect amount of pub clutter. There was a group of young people playing guitar and fiddle, and the crowd was responsive and supportive, which only played more into its inviting vibe. Our server was very sweet and the Guinness was poured proper. My only ding would be the cheeseboard we ordered, which was quite thin: two pieces of cheese, three or so slices of Apple, one Scotch egg and I believe some grapes. Reminded me more of a light snack than something to share. Either way, we loved it overall and cant wait to go back.

Went there for brunch on a Sunday. Wait Staff was very friendly. The Drinks we ordered were good. A standout for us was "The Watson Blood Mary was a first for the group we had. The food was just the okay part. We ordered the chicken sandwich which was a little running with all the sauce they put on it and the classic fish and chips and the fish was just bland. We werent disappointed but we werent hugely impressed. There is always next time which Im sure there will be since we are going to trivia night. One thing I didnt mention was there were some "freedom" speakers across the street with some graphic images protesting their rights. So that was a little distrubing to see while we were eating.

Visited during lunch. Not too busy. However my server, Jaden, was also the bartender. I had Shepherds Pie and wife had the steak pie. We enjoyed the meals. The menu had quite a variety of entrées, including appetizers, soups and sandwiches. The prices are at the high end of moderate. I paid $30 for the 2 meals and a $6 tip. We did not have drinks. I want to go back and try something else on the menu. Parking is terrible downtown, but the city is trying to make improvements in that area.

Every time my boyfriend and I have out of town friends or a night on the square a visit to this place is REQUIRED. Parking is free. When my boyfriend and i go to Sauce (a walk away) while we wait for a table we have drinks. After trying the food we decided to just spend the whole night at Churchills. The staff is very friendly and chummy. The crowd is always friendly. There is a digital juke box - so music is in your control. Never ever ever had a bad night there.

Awesome Irish pub with good fish and chips. We settled down next to the fire and spent a good couple hours nursing our beers. Service was attentive while as not being intrusive and didnt interupt the conversation. I love how each table had it owns name as well. When we came on the weekend there was live Irish music being played towards the front of the bar. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice pub in McKinney.

Walked up to the bar,and grabbed a drink from the bar. Popped open my laptop, and jump on the free WiFi. Sat there for about 40 mins before the Server asked me if I needed anything. Rude!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Granted that I was working I would have liked to gotten some food, but the Server was "Busy" working with other customers, and the bar want even full! WTF!!! I have been there be before when the bar is a mad house and got better service.

This place is awesome. Enjoyed the corn beef and cabbage. Love the atmosphere. Loved the guy picking the guitar and singing. Went in for my dads Birthday, he passed a few months ago. Had a Budweiser at the seat next to me for him. When I left the bartender said hed keep the seat and Beer there for him until closing. Happy Birthday pop . Thank you CELT. Will be a lifetime customer now.

Fun atmosphere, our server was attentive and friendly. Couldnt get a seat upstairs but heard the crowd having a great time with the live music. Typical pub fare with some unique options. The Scottish eggs were different in a good way. Fried fish really good. Guinness steak turned out to be like a pot pie in a dish. Yummy dessert options, extensive beverage lists with local flavor.

My favorite place to grab a drink and the food is awesome too! I have had almost everything on the menu and never been disappointed! Great service and they have free entertainment often which makes it extra fun! The atmosphere is one of the best part; very cozy and relaxed but classy! It sometimes can be crowded but they offer outside seating if you want more quiet. Go now!!

Came after watching a friends band, we needed a late place to hang. We found a table immediately, you kind of have to stalk people to get a spot. Crowded up top and loud. They seem to not have enough staff for the amount of people they serve. So service is slow, but on it! They got everything right and as soon as they could. Just super slow... made us not want to stay.

My husband and I are not picky eaters but this was the worst food we have ever had. We literally covered our plates with our napkins and ask for our check. The service staff was friendly and did not charge us for the food. Maybe the cook was just having a bad day but we visit another local Irish pub that we love and this did not even come close.

Awesome Pub! Very Authentic, staff is fast, friendly, and very knowledgeable. Went in for lunch with family during Christmas time and although it was busy our waiter treated us as though we were the only table in the restaurant. We had a wonderful time and recommend this establishment to everyone. Try the Fish and Chips!
