Was not that impressed with the Korean food. They also did not have that many choices of Korean dishes. The famous Korean meat dish was dry and tasted nothing like the traditional beef dish (bulgogi). The kimchi pancake was doughy and was not very flavorful. They had no Korean beer. The tofu soup was red with chili peppers, but it also had little flavor. My disclaimer is that I was born in Korea and grew up there. Also, my mother was an amazing cook. I probably wont go back considering it was more expensive and not as good as other Korean restaurants that Ive tried. Thats what I get for going to a half Japanese half Korean Resturant for Korean food.

Miso (smile in Korean), a new restaurant in the Round Rock area, serves Korean and Japanese dishes. Its a small place located in the same shopping center as Golds Gym and occupies the previous location of Rosies Pho at the corner of Hesters Crossing and SB IH-35. I tried their spicy soft tofu stew. It was delicious and served with rice and 4 of their daily side dishes (banchan). They have a great lunch special that is served bento style consisting of a main entree (bulgogi, teriyaki, or bimbimbab) with a salad, rice, 3 of their daily side dishes, and your choice of spicy tofu or kimchi soup. There was also a sushi chef staffing the small sushi bar.

Miso is such a wonderful addition to Round Rock. For those who are a fan of korean dishes or are the adventurous type, this is the place to go! The prices are very fair considering the freshness and serving sizes. A very extensive korean menu and a large amount of sushi rolls, and some more traditional japanese dishes as well. This place is brimming with excellence, with a low key, relaxed ambiance and a helpful and very friendly staff. The food is served piping hot and all ingredients are very fresh and flavorful! A must try, lets keep this place alive, Round Rock needs more restaurants like Miso!

Went here for my birthday dinner. I was hoping everyone I asked to have dinner with me would enjoy the food because they are quite picky eaters. We ordered numerous items on the menu. The kimchee bacon fried rice was delicious. The kimchee tofu was different yet interesting. It was displayed very lovely though. The bi bim bap was good. The bulgogi sliders was my favorite, very delicious on a sweet bun! Everything else was fantastic. Service was great and food was awesome. I will definitely come back!

Would give 5 stars but the last time I came with my family, the service was lacking. I believe there was only two servers at the time and a full house. We all had ordered waters to drink as some of the food is really spicy (which is so delicious by the way), and so we drank our waters pretty quickly and asked for refills but we never recieved any. Kind of frustrating but on the other hand, the food was amazing like always.

Service was extremely slow. Ordered the miso soup along with my entree and never received it. The waitress never came by to check on us, despite us waiting 30 minutes for our food. After receiving our food, she never stopped by to give refills on drinks. I had the Hawaiian chicken and at 13 dollars, it was not worth it. Over all very dissatisfied.

Soo good that we came back 3 days later. Everything was excellent -- Ive been dreaming of the beef bulgogi! First time we came on a Friday evening and it was packed and they seemed like they were short staffed...food took a little while to come, as expected, but the quality of the food was never compromised.

Went for sushi. Should have followed the reviews and stuck to the Korean side of the menu. Had a sashimi sampler that was cut very thick, and the yellow tail was not fully thawed. Also ordered 2 rolls that were better - UN roll was the best of what we had. I would go back, but not for the sushi.

Combo of Korean and Japanese menu items. Interesting variations. The egg rolls are among the best I have ever had, and they have omurice! Almost no restaurant in this country has that, it seems, and miso makes it with their own unique twist: kimchi and BBQ pork fried rice. Really good!

The food was very good, the quantity was good, and the staff were exceptionally nice and attentive. They were open to making custom rolls as well, which was great. Would definitely recommend if youre looking for casual sushi with great taste. We are definitely going to return.

We come here for the Korean food and it is excellent. Service is outstanding, food is delicious. I always get the dolsot bimibap, their bulgogi is tender and well seasoned. The side dishes are plentiful and refreshing. Its low key and a very pleasant surprise.

Great food and great service. We had 1 waiter......1 waiter on the floor during a busy dinner rush. The guy killed it. Attentive, polite and the food was very good. Always a great experience here.

We were sat at the sushi bar and took a back seat to the waitresses real tables. They food was great though. But we frequently had to get other peoples attention for basic things like refills.

Got beef bulgogi, my girlfriend got unagi donburi. Both were very delicious, and the bulgogi was served with banchan side dishes that were also fantastic. Our waiter was attentive and friendly.

Waiter was rude, did not greet us, looked at watch and shook head and told us the kitchen was closing in 5 minutes... 34 minutes before the posted closong time of 10 pm. Will never return.

The miso ramen soup was horrible! The broth tasted really bad...like old pot water. The sushi was okay tasted like the sushi I can get at HEB but costed twice as much. Wont come back.

I ordered Bulgogi and the Ahi Tower. Terrible! Bulgogi was simply some burned meat on a skillet and the Ahi tower was equally tasteless.
