Changing my 5 star review to 1 star after my experience tonight. Stay away if you have a child in need of a high chair. First of all Ive been a regular at this restaurant for over 2 years. My husband and I always bring our 2 year old child with us and have never had an issue getting seated in a booth with my childs high chair at the end. So tonight we come in for dinner and the waitress first tries to seat us at a table. I ask for a booth because we always sit at a booth plus Im 35 weeks pregnant and the chairs arent as comfortable to me. She informs me that we cant be seated at a booth even though there are several available because the high chair is a "hazard". Excuse me, since when? If youve been to this establishment you know its not cramped. Theres plenty of room to get around a high chair which is why its never been a problem before. Another waiter brings a high chair and tries to stick it all the way in the back corner at the worst table in the whole restaurant next to another family with a highchair they banished out of the way as well. Our high chairs would have literally touched back to back if we had sat there and we couldnt have gotten in and out of our seat due to being totally blocked by two children in high chairs. I felt like we were totally discriminated against because we had a child that needed a high chair. I told her we arent going to be crammed in a corner like that and we walked out. How rude to treat us like that when theres NEVER been an issue sitting at a booth in the past, ever. We wont be coming in anymore if this is how were going to be treated.

Not the best experience. We are new to Keller but have lived in the DFW area previously. We were looking for a good Mexican restaurant. A friend recommended Los Molcajetes. We went on Saturday during lunch to try it out. There were not very many people there which should have been a clue. Almost everything on our order came out incorrectly. We ordered beans only, plates came out with rice only. My husbands carne asada was the worst he has ever had! Very fatty meat. The kids plate is extremely small, two little pieces of quesadilla with lots of rice to make up for it. I feel this was geared toward a 2 or 3 year old. Tacos were not great. I did have a spinach quesadilla. It was pretty good but extremely greasy. Waiter seemed to have ignored us most of the time. Sorry to say but we will not return.

Weve been coming here since it was under a different name. The worst service weve ever had was this past Friday. We had our grndbaby with us and the waiter kept setti g hot food in front of him, which is a HUGE NO-NO! Then when we finally got our food, he had forgotten my grandsons and did not listen about a severe allergy that i have. Usually this oalce would receive 5 stars for service and atmosphere which is always great. But if you are going to put a server on the floor, make sure he knows what he is doing!!!

This is one of my favorite places in Roanoke. They have the most delicious and spicy green hot sauce that is delivered after being seated along with their crisp tortilla chips and a red hot sauce (that is quite mild). My fave dish is the beef and chicken fajitas. They are perfectly seasoned and cooked. Even though everything I have tried on their menu has been super tasty, I always find myself eating fajitas when I visit. (My kids and hubby love this place, too!)

If you are looking for authentic avoid this place! I ordered guacamole, and sour cream chicken enchiladas...the guacamole was "ok" but the enchiladas were completely making flavor! I tried pouring their green salsa on them and that didnt help. The beans looked as if they were dumped from a can and the rice tasted like minute rice. The chips were good. But the salsa tasted like watery ketchup. I would not venture here unless you dont have picky taste buds.

5 stars for food but the service brings it down to 2! Dont bother calling for a reservation! They take it, tell you its reserved but when you get there they tell you the bartender handles the reservations...but he doesnt write them down...he goes by memory..well guess what??? he doesnt have a good memory and we still have to wait!!! Happy Mothers day!

Waiter spilled water all over my friend--half a glass of ice cold water and we didnt receive anything. No apology, no manager, no free appetizers etc. So much more couldve been done. Electricity went out while we were there as well. Food was okay. Nothing special and I wouldnt pay to eat there again, especially with some bad service.

Good value and taste. We are a family of 5 with a toddler. No issues getting seated in a booth on a Saturday night. Lots of folks there. They offer free chips and good salsa! We choose this place over Christinas and OTB. Service could be more cheerful, but overall good value and family appropriate. We will be back.

I have been going to this restaurant for lunch for abt 7 years now (Beach location), and Ive never had a bad experience - I love the expedited service since lunch is a rush; I love the food; I love the chips/salsa (esp the spicy/warm version!), and I love watching sports on their tvs.

Los Molcajetes is awesome! Great ambiance and excellent service. Not to mention the food... I love their chips and salsa and Saul at the bar makes excellent drinks. Some of our favs are the Queso Fundido and the Tacos al Carbon. Give it a a try, youll love it!

This place use to be a Don Taco, but they decided to take down the menus and turn it into a fancy restaurant, probably so they could get tips. The problem is that the food is still Don Taco quality food, but they charge gourmet restaurant prices and a tip to boot!

Son loved the food. He ordered wrong and they fixed with my problem. Music is good. Perfect volume and fits the theme. Very comfortable spot. Its not freezing in here where your food is cold before you get to consume it which is a plus in my book.

We found Los Molcajetes online last minute while visiting from Omaha, NE. The chips and salsa are great! The service was fantastic. Carisa was excellent and very friendly. We are so glad we stopped and would recommend others to do the same.

Was not a fan. I found the food to be just OK, but overpriced. Simple Mexican food shouldnt be $12-14/plate unless there is something amazing about. The atmosphere was a bit off too at somewhere between cafeteria and tropical lounge.
