Wow. We dined here last night -- full house, 45 minute wait on a Friday. Everyone waiting was in good spirits, the guests dining inside were all happy - the service was excellent and everyone from the hosts to the servers were helpful, friendly and welcoming. The chips are fresh, crisp and thin. The salsa is amazing with fresh cilantro. A 1/2 order of queso for just $3 was excellent. We ordered their Carne Asada (pictured in their PDF menu that is downloadable on their website) and a queso-topped Chicken Chimichanga. The Carne Asada portions were massive. The meat was well seasoned and came on a sizzling skillet (this sounds a bit redundant, but there are too many Mexican restaurants that dont seem to understand the purpose of a skillet). The Chimi was also massive, perfectly prepared and generously stuffed. Everything was perfect ... seriously. The food was worth every penny that we spent. Amazing value. My wife and I noted that our kids (5,3 and 1) were perfectly behaved - which we think was due to the happy, family-friendly atmosphere and the fast service and friendly wait staff. This is how to run a restaurant and how to get return business!!!! Awesome!

I love Los Molcajetes! The food is amazing, and dont get me started with the margaritas... This place will not disappoint if youre craving some Mexican food. UNFORTUNATELY, on my last visit we had the most horrible service ever!!!! From the start our server seemed forced to take us. She never smiled, she hardly talked to us, was not attentive, dropped plates at the table without saying a word and just walked away. We felt like we werent even wanted there. What seemed to be the manager was seating at the bar on his phone, he looked like he could careless of his surroundings. Nobody was friendly. As a server, I felt horrible not leaving a tip or leaving a bad one. So I left well above 20% but no, she did not deserve it. If you go to this place make sure you stay away from the section in the bar, and the server which her name appeared to be "Valles" in the receipt.

Hoy fue mi pior esperiencia a mi esposo le salio carton en el coctel de camarones y el manager brillo por su ausencia y ni nos ofrecieron una disculpa mucho menos nos preguntaron si queriamis mas bebida o si estaba bien todo solo me llevaron una caja para mi comida sin pedirla eso fue humillante por que senti que mi dinero no sirve . Que mal servicio lastima .

We eat here maybe monthly. The margaritas are inconsistently good, but the chips and salsa are top notch. We enjoy the two salsas they bring when youre first seated, but usually ask for their much hotter green salsa. The guacamole is fresh and flavorful, and is sometimes a little too much for the light delicate chips. Spoon it on instead of dipping. We prefer the traditional Mexican entrees over the Tex-Mex stuff but overall have no complaints. Tortillas are fresh, but nothing to write home about. Portions are generous and easily make for a good lunch the next day. We always try to arrive before the lunch or dinner rush because theres usually a line out the door.

My wife and I came for a Tuesday evening dinner. We sat in the cozy little booth by the bar. We sat there for about ten minutes before the waiter brought us some water and then he took another couple of minutes to bring us chips and salsa. Meanwhile, we watched a guy come in by himself, after us, and then receive his chips and salsa before we got our waters. Our food did come out quickly but once we were done eating it was another ten minutes before we could get our waiters attention to get our check. Plus, the waiter didnt check on us the entire time we were eating. Im done with this place. Too expensive for what theyre serving.

Recently the service has really been lacking so we decided to order a To Go order and were very disappointed to learn we are charged for chips and salsa. When we questioned a manager why we were charged we were told a list of excuses 1)we needed to pay for the containers, 2)thats what has always been done, 3)everyone likes the chips and salsa so the owner wants to charge the To Go orders for it, etc. As customers for several years, we felt the owner was taking advantage of the customers by charging for something that is free and unlimited normally. It just doesnt make rational sense. Bye Los Molcajetes

Best Mexican food ever! They put all of the other restaurants to shame. Fresh tortillas, food is seasoned well, great salsa, great tortilla soup, fajitas, etc. I will definitely be a regular. Friday night wait at 7pm was 30-45 minutes but they kept it moving and had tables cleaned fast. The food explained the wait and no one was complaining. Family owned. They know how to manage the restaurant and their staff well, keeping a good flow. You can tell the staff respect the managers/owners. The kichen is managed well too. Fresh, hot food and fast! Best sopapillas ever!!!

By far, one of my favorite restaurants! I could DRINK THE SALSA by the gallon! The servers are awesome, VERY personable, Belen keeps us coming back. And the food is very reasonably priced. Went to another restaurant and ordered the same dish and it was no where near as delicious. Los Molcs dish is cheaper, better tasting, w/ much more meat, and guacemole included! I go to this restaurant probably twice a week w/ my mom and they are her favorite for margaritas.

Place is a bit old, service was ok. First time here. . Heard great things about it but have to strongly disagree! I ordered the chicken mole enchilada plate with rice and beans. Plate presentation was horrible, not very appealing.. rice was soggy tortillas were a bit stale and hard to cut into with the fork. Beans were interesting. . Wouldnt recommend, not authentic Mexican food sadly.

Yall im going to be real with you, if you dont like good food and spice, dont eat here. BUT IF YOURE LIKE ME AND WANT SOME GREAT FOOD COME EAT HERE. Ive been here over 30 times and everytime the staff the food EVERYTHING IS ALWAYS AMAZING. yeah the price can hurt but if you get a lunch size it will fill you up, and wont hurt your wallet. LOVE THIS PLACE. Always worth the drive!! 10/10

I couldnt stop talking about this place after we went Sunday for my wifes birthday. The service is flawless, they sat 15 of us with only about 10 minute wait and the food... Im not kidding, we ate there just 2 days ago and were going back tonight so I can order the exact plate I had. The enchiladas are hand made by the Mexican God of enchiladas and the drafts beers are cheap and cold.

It is mid range price. Somebody wrote it is pricey for a Mexican restaurant, not sure what that means. Good food costs money and Mexican food is Good! Our server, Alexandra who is actually from Venezuela was very nice and helpful. Something I really like about Los Molcajetes is that you dont have to wait that long for a table. Food is really really good and service is usually fast.

Disappointed. The ratings on here led me to believe this place would be amazing. Waitress asked me what to drink then told me they werent on the menu so I asked for a margarita. She proceeded to ask me what kind... Um you tell me, they arent on your menu. Food was OK but nothing to write home about. Nothing remarkable about this place even without the airhead waitress.
