Duo Reviews M.C.
Order: Calamari Appetizer; Lunch Duo#1 Chicken & Cheese Piadina with added mushrooms, onions & peppers with all you can eat salad & breadsticks. Lunch Duo#2 Lasagna Classico with all you can eat salad & breadsticks. Also, the marinara bowl for the breadsticks. M: My take on the calamari, was it was okay. We had to add salt and pepper and squeeze the heck out of that lemon to make it taste good. The salad was good, wasn’t drenched in dressing and a good amount of cheese. Breadsticks were good as always, the marinara bowl was NOT worth 3.49. My Chicken, Cheese & Vegi Piadina was awesome. Exactly the taste I was looking for. The cook sautéed my vegetables very well and it was nicely paired with a marinara sauce. C: Calamari was bland. Needed to add salt and pepper. The salad was good, as expected. My lasagna was good. An average piece of lasagna. Nothing to stand out as GREAT! We came for a nice quick lunch. The hostess staff was very nice and the hostess knew the specials. Our waitress was Bri or Britany. She was nice, but nice doesn’t get you paid. When we ordered our appetizer of calamari, she asked us if we would like a dipping sauce for our breadsticks and gave the option of alfredo or marinara. We haven’t been in a while and the way she asked us, made it seem as if it was complimentary. It wasn’t it was $3.49! Which we didn’t find out until we received our bill. The timing between the appetizers and the meal were great. Britany definitely gave us enough cheese. She even gave me cheese on my Chicken and Cheese Piadina, when I asked for the cheese only on the salad. She was all over the place. She was rushing all over and seemed to not be fully focused. When the bill came, she seemed as if she was in a hurry for us to pay. When we initially reviewed the bill, there was an added Raspberry lemonade and our appetizer was still full price (we had an emailed coupon). Britany apologized and brought the “corrected” receipt back to us. Then we realized that the marinara bowl had a charge for it and also the Lunch Duo#2 the Lasagna Classico was priced at the dinner price of $13.99. We then questioned her on why it was like this. She blamed it on us and said we didn’t read it to her right off the menu, that it read lunch lasagna, not Lasagna Classico. She then left and took a few minutes to return with the again, corrected bill. We paid cash and while exiting met with the manager who was in the bar area. She was very friendly and confrontable. We were able to explain the series of events and she was apologetic and asked if there was anything she could do. We told her the check had been corrected, but for future knowledge of how her employee was acting funny about the bill. It was also odd how Britany was able to void and correct our check, not once, but TWICE without the managers knowing so. After this experience, we’ll be ordering carry-out IF & When we go to Olive Garden again.

Food was good. Service wasnt. Our waiter charged is double for our meal. When the charges werent immediately refunded, we questioned them and were told that the funds would be returned to our account within three business days. When in day four the money still hadnt been refunded, I called back and was told that some banks take longer to process this request... What!?!?!? If I return an item to Walmart, or Home Depot, or virtually any other retail establishment, the funds are returned to my account immediately, so whats the deal Olive Garden!?!?!? Also, any other restaurant would have given us gift cards for free meals to entice us to return. Not this place!!! On my second call, I felt that the woman I talked to was very condescending. Like somehow I needed to be put in my place! No offense, but I assure you that my job is just as stressful as yours! Theres no need to treat me like a child! I kind of feel like your job is to make your customers feel happy, satisfied, and wanting to return. Im none of those things!!! We can recommend this location to anyone, and we wont be returning.

Was there for Mothers Day. Food was good but service was TERRIBLE. When ordering we ask the waiter to bring extra salad do we didnt have to ask for more and he brought a SMALL amount. We ask for more salad twice, NEVER got any. We ask for more breadsticks three times, twice from our waiter and once from another, didnt get them until we were leaving in a to go bag. We ask for another coke, didnt get until we were leaving. Waiter said he would bring it in a to go cup, brought it in a glass. Only reason we ever got a coke or breadsticks was because they charged for an ice tea when I ordered water. Was the worst service ever. Their excuse was waiter was new. So much for a Mothers Day dinner. Will never go to this Olive Garden again! Will be a long, long time before going to any Olive Garden.

Your typical olive garden. Food was great. The staff was very helpful and welcoming. They really take care of their people. Here was my problem, the bathroom stalls were ridiculously small. I had to straddle the toilet to open the door. The sink had a broken pipe it didnt appear to be completely broken because water wasnt coming out. But in the bar there was a definite broken pipe water gushed onto the floor from what I assume to be a dishwasher. I asked the bartender and apparently it happens all day but the pipe is too hot to touch.

Worst Olive Garden weve ever been to. TERRIBLE SERVICE. Our server was overwhelmed with 3 tables, forgot to bring out our appetizer, then put it on our bill. There were servers behind the bar pouring drinks for their tables because the bartender wasnt there and clearly had too much going on at once. There doesnt seem to be much organization between hosts, servers, bartenders & management. Just a very disorganized restaurant. Food was mediocre at best. Very disappointed with our choice of restaurant tonight.

Mustve gotten new management. This location was doing so well and then the last 3 times weve gone, our orders were very wrong. Management was there but did not speak with us to fix and this last time we ended up waiting an hour for our food. Manager walked by the table multiple times knowing her server really screwed up but never once spoke with us. Server never apologized and completely stopped serving us after we told her she messed up our food. Its a shame they were doing so well for so long.

Take one step inside the this establishment and it will have you vomiting all over the front entrance. Years and years of just wiping things off have made this restaurant smelling like puke. Tables are sticky and even the doors have a a sticky feel to them. When was the last time carpets were cleaned and table wiped off with soapy water? I have always been a fan of Olive Garden, but I dont plan on going back to that one ever or until they had a cleaning crew clean and wipe every nook and cranny.

We have started eating at the Olive Garden in McKinney about once a week and we love the food and the treatment we get. I love it when I dont have to chase down a waiter to get my tea refilled or another basket of their breadsticks. Someone is doing a great job of managing this restaurant and well definitely keep going back. Their Eggplant Parmesan is fabulous. So is the Lasagna and Seafood Alfredo. And . . . well, you get the point. It is all just wonderful!!!
