It was a friday night at 9:20 when my girlfriend and I decided to eat chineese. I asked her what places she knew around here that would deliver to us. She mentioned this place and I really wish she didnt. We ordered the food which was a poo poo platter, won ton soup for 2, shrimp fried rice and calafornia rolls. When we got the food delivered to us, we attempted to eat the severely overcooked poo poo platter. It was so hard that literally if I bit into it, I would have broken my brand new veneers I just got placed in. The chicken was so dry it was worse then leather. the wonton soup was like drinking brown water with no flavor at all and the shrimp fried rice was overcooked and the shrimp smelled off. The calafornia rolls were ok though but not the best. I called the restaurant back to let them know that the food was very bad and they a lady got on the phone. SHE was so nasty and wouldnt even let me speak to her, instead she was telling me that I was a liar and that she would not refund my money nor make me another dish properly and redeliver it to me and pick up the old one (which was not edible). She also would not stop yelling and I said mam I want my money back or you to pick up this food and replace it with food that I can eat. She then said that she was going to call the police so after that I hung up the phone and called my bank. I disputed the charge and my money now has appeared back into my account. I then went up there to the store this morning and returned everything I ordered since it was non edible. The gentleman there at the store asked me what I was doing and I said I m returning this food and it was terrible. I said to him that if he wants to do the right thing he can refund my money. He said to me no sir no refund... I then said as I was walking out the door "Sir I will have the bank give me back my money dont worry about it." I now looked at the back kitchen when I was there though and noticed why I felt so sick this morning from even trying a little of the food we got. The kitchen is dirty and no one is wearing gloves. They have flies in the back and the oil they use was so brown and nasty it just made me sick to look at it. I called the health department on them and also reported them to the better business bearuo. Anyways, I really was hoping for having a nice chineese dinner on my friday night after working hard all week. Instead I got poisoned, yelled at, had to spend 20 mins with the bank to get my money back, gas to drop off the food that they wouldnt come back to pick up, and was left hungry for the night. I suggest no one EVER eat here but buyers beware! You couldnt pay me to eat their food... last but not least... when I spit one of the pieces of food out of my mouth with the bad tasting shrimp, I dropped it on the floor next to my dog and not even he would eat it. My dog will eat his poop once in a while but he would not even eat that food.

This place has some of the worse food I have ever seen. Check their facebook page they tried to tell my wife that egg drop soup that was GREEN in color was ok to eat. We have order for delivery and we end up taking our order back for a full refund. The egg rolls were sour also along with the green egg drop soup . I would let everyone know to STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE. Take the extra steps to go pick up your food from another chinese place. The smell of the soup made my stomach curl . The egg rolls took one bite and spit it out in the trash. They tasted like they were cooked a week ago and then reheated to serve. Not only that I order a combination lo mein and it had a funny smell to it like they did not wash the wonk before cooking my order. If you have to order I would recommend you order PIZZA it would be a lot better than this place. On top of that they have the nerve to have a Papa John delivery driver deliver it ... If you dont want to end up in the Hospital for FOOD Poison I would not order from this place. We also took a picture of all of our food to send the picture into the Health Department. . If you order from here you will be throwing up in the toilet just from the bad smell coming from the food in general it self. I would have to say our refund to our credit card was instantly return there was not 24 hour waiting . The lady there was trying to say the soup ok to eat, I am sorry but my dog even turned his nose away from it .. That tell you how bad this place is people .... Then they tried to argue we ate half of our food . I said no it came like that after they smell we did not even touch it .. I would not have given any stars but I guess you have to give something to get your review posted ..

Updated Review: Update review 10/17/2015, Ive tried other Chinese food, my wife and kids love the lomien noodles here and sweet n sour chicken. I love the egg rolls. Clerk/s speak "english" . Big Improvement since my last visits. As mentioned before "food" is well prepared and delivery is 30-45 min in most cases. Better results in operations. "Service" is absolutely horrible. Not only is service horrible, they are difficult to deal with and difficult to understand. Two weeks ago I placed a online order and 45 min went bye and I didnt receive order nor was their a follow up call. I figured a online order was going to help me overcome the confusing chatter from "clerk" etc. So dont bother with online orders, They obviously dont follow through. Website looks easy to read and understandable. Today, I decided to call them. My order was $18.88 two entree deal. The "male" clerk wanted to charge me extra for soup, and $2 more for delivery. The website stated $10 min. These people do not honor their online orders and prices. This guy was belligerent and with a major bad attitude. Though the food is good. Dealing with these people "sours" the experience of buying with their "bad" attitude. I wish you "the prospective customer best of luck. Not worth it for me to be mistreated.

OMGsh! My son ordered from China City, located at 1433 S Belt Line Rd in Mesquite. The food is usually pretty good, but now I question how sanitary it is. After closing the door, he heard a strange sound outside and went to check it out. To his surprise, he saw the delivery driver relieving himself on our lawn, into our bushes against the house. Just the thought of it still makes me cringe. He called the restaurant immediately to report the incident. The woman kept acting like she didn’t understand. After repeating himself, she began to act like she didn’t care at all. I called her back to tell her how nasty and unacceptable his actions were. That is disgusting for our yard, anyone who waters and trims the bush, and no one is going to want to be in that area of the yard. But more so than that, he will continue to deliver food without washing his hands. She continued her same routine, like she didn’t care. I can only imagine how unsanitary the restaurant is. When I stated that we could not order from them again, she said that was good and thanked me. I guess they already have enough customers to contaminate.
