Soaring Dragon is a refreshing take on tradition American-Chinese fair. A lot of the dishes are going to be familiar, but they are presented in new and gorgeous ways. That being said, though, the menu is absolutely gigantic. Soaring Dragon offers every thing from Chinese food, to Japanese, to even Vietnamese. I look forward to going back soon and trying the Vietnamese pho-type soup I noticed one of the waitstaff eating on her break. It looked amazing! I loved what I ordered, and even though it was on the "early bird dinner menu special", there was so much food I ended up having to take most of it home with me. My friend and I also tried the crab rangoons, which were so super great. The edamame we shared was also delicious. All in all, food wise, I was not only impressed, but super pleased with both the taste and lovely presentation of everything!. And while I know this is something of a minor detail, I think its pretty neat that you can order brown rice instead of the traditional white rice. The prices are a little higher than the other Chinese food places here in Kerrville, but you get what you pay for! I was really impressed with what the owners were able to do with such a small space. With the high ceilings and sleek/modern paint job, the atmosphere manages to come across as both chic and inviting. Plus, both those who decide to dress up, and those who decide to dine in more casual attire will feel at home. Honestly, I have a hard time thinking of someone who wouldnt feel right at home there. The owners obviously worked very hard to create an environment that felt both modern and comfortable, and it shows. Finally, i just want to touch on what a great job the staff there is doing! Opening a new restaurant can be chaotic at the best of times, but the team members who helped us this evening worked as though they had been employed there for years. Sandy was our main waitress, and Stephanie helped out. There was also an incredibly nice gentleman who refilled our drinks for us, though I failed to get his name. But all three were polite, kind, knowledgeable, and fantastic. So if youre thinking about checking out this new restaurant here in Kerrville, go ahead and give it a whirl! You wont be disappointed!

Great find! After an unexpected breakdown on I-10 left me with a couple hours to spare I asked the attendant at Ultimate Auto where I could eat something within walking distance. He recommended several places and mentioned Soaring Dragon if I wanted good -fresh Chinese. Well since thats a novel idea these days I decided to give it a try. From the moment I walked in I was immediately impressed with the nice clean modern space, also the 80s music was at a nice level. Nice selection of your typical Chinese fare as mentioned by others. I ordered hot jasmine tea and tangerine chicken which came with a soup and egg roll all for less than $10.00. Best part of my breakdown!! Will definitely be back!!

This is not only my favorite Chinese place to eat at, but my favorite restraunt in general. From someone who moves a lot....its not always easy to experience a new place and find the best eatery in town. Id eat here everyday if money wasnt a factor. My favorite meal is the vegetable Singapore noodles. The staff is nice and easy to talk to/understand. The prices are also decent. I paid less here than at a place in Fredericksburg for the same meal. Oh and the restrooms are super clean. Which says a lot about the kitchen area imo. Everyone should try this place at least once!

Service was good but the food was awful. $60 worth of food and 95% of it just went into the trash. Fried dumplings were soggy and the meat tasted disgusting. Fried rice has no flavor, the veggies were hard and crunchy, and both the fried and steamed rice were way under cooked. The entrees were just gross all around flavor wise except my beef with broccoli, it wasnt anything extraordinary but it was ok; the only thing that got eaten.

The food was great. The atmosphere was great. It was nice and clean inside the restaurant the soup the meat was very tender, I dont understand why one person said that the fried dumplings were tasty, but everything that we had was very delicious, we also had good service and it was worth paying the price, which was really cheap. We thought it was going to be more expensive then what. It was I love the food it was great

Great food,,, we were heading home to Arizona and we were the last customer talked a bit there gave waitress many roads to take in az ,,he had a part he wanted us to chk for him maybe he can let us kno what kind of car :)again oh i lost paper:)) very nice people great customer service the owners should be proud of them.. Met the staff told great service and the food was GREAT!!!

Had an amazing experience! I wanted a family style to-go order and they helped make everything so easy! We tried going to another place but the service was difficult. I am so glad we decided to come here. Thank you, Peggy for all your help! And we love all your employees- very attentive & respectful. Will definitely be my first stop when in town again!

My Kung Pao chicken was great. Service was fantastic. In addition to my server, the host and manager also assisted to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. Portion size was smaller than other Chinese restaurants, but perfect for my appetite. Note, dinner entrees include soup and eggroll.

We either order to-go or dine in about once a week. The food is always fresh and flavorful. Its obvious that they prepare their own sauces since they do vary depending on the cook that evening. The waitstaff seems to turn over regularly but the great food and friendly service hasnt changed.

We try to dine here at least once a week. Have never had a bad experience. The food is awesome, portions are generous and service is second to none! The spicy beef and scallops are my favorite. If youve never been there, stop by sometime. You wont be disappointed!

I cant say we have ever had a bad experience here. The food is good and the service is great. Soaring dragon has a nice atmosphere and is very clean! I definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for good and budget friendly Chinese food :)
