The food was great. Upon leaving, I noticed the waitress charged me 1.99 instead of 1.50/free refills for an iced tea, and asked her to fix it. After speaking with another waitress and the manager in Spanish, discussing whether to change the price, the manager came to tell me that I was charged 1.99 because of a refill. First, I hadnt had a refill. Second, the menu clearly said free refills, and the other drinks except for sodas (1.99) said no refills. Third, it wasnt that serious, I was genuinely curious as to the mistake. This woman turned and walked away from me in the middle of my speaking, and said "you just dont want to understand, thats the reason, thats the price." She refused to speak any further until, rather than giving my card to her, I took out the appropriate amount in cash, and stated that it was all I was paying. She told me to keep my money, and said "yeah I know you like it that way anyway, its free", as if because I was of color, I must enjoy free food. It was completely an overblown reaction to a mischarged ticket, and the issue was completely their fault. Ill never be back and Ill warn other BLACK PEOPLE from going as well.

The food quality, price and service is great at Dos Gallos. I have had many items on the menu and have asked for an add-on and they gladly made it. You will now find Spinach Enchiladas on the new menus. The breakfast tacos are incredible and the homemade flour Tortillas in addition to the red & green salsa top off the delicious flavor. Try the Soft Pork Tacos - wow! Specials include Menudo, Chicken Soup, Caldo De Res and more. Check out the Codornices (Quail). They have a large menu which can be viewed online. I would highly recommend for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Another "Best Kept Secret" in Humble, Texas. Give it a try.

I moved to north Houston several months ago. I was looking for real Mexican food that wasnt a chain plain that serves Americanized "Mexican" food. Saw a friend at church Sunday and Chris and his mom Linda invited me to Dos Gallos for after church meal. OMG had the carne guisada and it was awesome. Like my moms (RIP) back home. The tortillas were great. The food hot and plenty to fill you up. Prices great also. Be sure to get there early cause the lunch food does end at times and wont be made till dinner again. Recommend it and am here now to have tacos and carnitas. Cant wait.

Authentic Mexican Food. This is the best tasting food Ive ever had except for one place I know in Mexico. The servers are all service oriented, the owner is ss hard working as her employees. I recommend this Dos Gallos to anybody wanting great tasting food and a great price.

For a little mom and pop, restaurant, you would get full and be pleased. There prices are reasonable but the plate you get us outstanding with flavor , great Tex/Mex. With a great atmosphere
