I have come by many times tried different food on menu. General Tso- this is my favorite, has many different flavor to this. I like the sauce, chicken, everything in this and mixed with white rice its awesome. Egg roll- egg roll is good and tasty. Kung Pao Chicken- wasnt big fan of Kung pao chicken but if you like Panda Expresss it taste same. Curry Chicken- The sauce was really good, the potatoes were favorite, everything was on the spot. Next time will try it veggie style. Emperor Chicken- Sauce has flavor but sauce was too thin and didnt stick to chicken. If sauce was thicken to stick to chicken then can change my opinion about it. White Rice- White rice is good. Fried Rice- fried rice is good too had with wings. Chicken wings- they have flavor but not as flavor to it. I have tasted many chicken wings but can do better. They not bad just can be modified to become better. Thai on Nitro- really good, really creamy, nice creamy flavor and it has no dairy. The staff are always nice, friendly and smiling.

As a Chicago native I am super picky about my Chinese American food. If your fried rice is too light you have already lost me as a customer. After 2 yrs of searching I have finally found my go to place for Chinese food! Service was great and after placing my order it was only a short wait for me and my husbands food. I ordered pepper steak and he ordered Kung Pao Chicken. We both upgraded our steamed white rice to fried rice for a small charge. I am so glad that we did. The presentation of the food was awesome and it tasted delicious. No light brown fried rice and halfway through me working my way through my pepper steak box I learned the box actually opens to a plate. There is some seating inside the location as well as outdoor seating. The commercial fans outside were a little strong but may be perfect on a hot Houston day. My husband and I opted to sit inside. The staff was friendly and continued to check on us throughout our meal. I couldnt be more pleased and will definitely be back!!!!

We ordered to-go. They serve better than standard Chinese fare. Food seems fresh and they are fairly busy meaning that their ingredients do not sit for a long time. Prices are decent and the portion could possibly last you two meals. The restaurant itself is modern and clean. There is very limited seating and the parking lot is extremely small. We had no trouble finding street parking and walking over. The staff was very friendly and offered suggestions. We ordered: Wings with sweet chili sauce: not spicy at all, wings were cooked well and large Chicken General Tso: Good, fresh, better than other Chinese fast food. Not super flavorful Sesame Tofu and fried rice: My friend said that it wasnt crispy. Taste is standard. Fried rice is standard. All entrees came with eggroll: Eggroll was standard, friend didnt like it The whole order was packed well and came with napkins, fortune cookies, and cutlery. Overall I would come back if I was in the area. I would not seek this place out to eat again.

Im EFFING SPEECHLESS about the service I received!!!! Besides the food being so great and fresh; It was the most amazing customer service (or should I say doggy service) that I have ever received!! Im an owner of a ten month old Rottweiler, hes big of course due to his breed and for such reason its hard to be in public with him for obvious reasons. Well, The Rice Box treated him phenomenal! As if he were a human, I had a cup of water for him being that I didnt have a bowl, and next thing I see is one of the workers coming out with a small tray of water for him. Besides checking up on us "humans", they also kept checking up on him. In the middle of dinner, another worker comes out with a treat for him, Chicken with rice. He was a very happy puppy! Im grateful for people that dont judge dogs for their breed!!! Ill definitely be coming back to this place with my dog and become regulars.

Pretty interesting joint. Like another reviewer stated the nitro tea is the bomb. The chow is so delicious. I liked their take on fried entrees like sesame chicken. Light batter rather than being typical tempura. Not that tempura is bad, Cuz its so yummy. But their creation is equally as tasty and unique. Now, I didnt care for the steamed rice, but then thats more of a preference thing. I prefer basmati or jasmine steamed rice with all Asian cuisine. Has more nutty flavor naturally without having to add flavor to ordinary white rice. I will be back for sure. The tea is enough to bring me back alone. You really should try it.

First, and most importantly the food is amazing. I havent had a bad experience in the five years that Ive been going there. They have this really awesome nitrogen infused black tea and Thai tea. What sets this place apart from other places (besides the food) is the owner. This guy makes you feel welcome and his personality and values seem to be absorbed by the rest of the staff. Hes taken Rice Box from a food truck to a successful restaurant and Ill not surprised. Eat here for good food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff.

I saw my friend and her family post this place on their Facebook page so I decided to try it (especially because I was craving chinese today). I didnt go to this restaurant, but I used Favor delivery service to have the food delivered to me. I was surprised at the portion size- you definitely get more than what you pay for. The fried rice was great, and the General Tsos chicken was delicious. I asked for my chicken to be spicy, and they gave it the perfect amount of spice. The Rice Box did not dissapoint!

I have been a fan of The Rice Box since the food truck! It would come around the UH campus and it was absolutely the best truck in my opinion. I visited this location today as well as the Greenway location. The staff and owner are all so accommodating a super friendly. I work in sugarland but make it out to either location when I am in need of my fix! I am hoping you all can expand to more locations throughout Houston. Keep up the good work and keep making great food! Your company is amazing. :)

John and Jenny are always there working hard and connecting with customers. They treat them like old friends. This place is meant to be a to go restaurant, but if youre lucky you can catch some of the seating inside or in the patio. Thai tea on nitro is a must. You get the full bodied feel of milk without the milk basically. I always get the Chow Fun with Chinese sausage and it doesnt disapoint. Atmosphere is awesome, definitely check out the patio and get a photo in front of the mural.

Not only is the food legit but the folks here are the real deal when it comes to people. They have a real passion for food and are trying to spread their unique vision and love for Rice Box to as many people as possible. I witnessed a team come together last night during a power outtage and provide the type of customer service you would expect at the Four Seasons....despite this setback, not a single person in the place was willing to leave. That says it all. Dont sleep on these guys.
