ABSOLUTE RIP-OFF, OWNER IS TERRIBLE, CHEATED GROUP INTO $410 BILL, AND ONLY GAVE US HALF OF OUR FOOD!!!!! First, were all Indian and KNOW the value of our food, what our food was worth for 12 people was altogether no more than $150 TOTAL (INCLUDING TIP). The owner tried to up-sell us on EVERYTHING, was extremely pushy and we ended up ordering for the entire table 2 of the "BOMBAY FEASTS" and 2 of the "TANDOORI FEASTS" that were each $49, yes, thats right $49. So for $200, you expect it to feed 12 people right? WRONG! THIS GUY IS A CON ARTIST!!!!! THE OWNER TRIED TO COMBINE PLATES TO GIVE US LESS FOOD, WE SHOULD HAVE RECEIVED 4 DISHES OF EACH, INSTEAD WE RECEIVED ONE OR TWO PLATES EACH AND WERE TOLD HE "COMBINED THEM INTO ONE PLATE" WE RECEIVED OUR TWO ORDERS OF THE "TANDOORI FEAST" (REMEMBER THIS COST $49 EACH, SO ITS A $100). WHAT DO WE GET? ONE PLATE, YES, ONE PLATE OF TANDOORI CHICKEN WITH ABOUT 8 PIECES OF MEAT ON IT. THATS A $100 PLATE OF TANDOORI CHICKEN THAT ANYWHERE ELSE WOULD HAVE COST $15 AT THE MOST!!!!!!! WE PAID $100 FOR A PLATE OF TERRIBLE TANDOORI CHICKEN! (THAT IS TWO TANDOORI FEASTS FOR $49 COMBINED AND PUT ON ONE PLATE, INSULTING TO SAY THE LEAST) WE ALSO DID NOT RECEIVE TWO ORDERS OF PRAWN CURRY, TWO ORDERS OF SAAG, OR THE TWO EXTRA ORDERS OF CHICKEN TIKKA. INSTEAD HE POINTED TO A SINGLE PORTION OF CURRY AND SAID.... "I COMBINED THE TWO ORDERS INTO ONE." OUTRAGEOUS. WHEN WE ASKED A WAITER, HE SAID "NO, THAT IS ONLY ONE ORDER." WE CONFRONTED THE OWNER AND HE JUST LIED. EVERYONE AT THE TABLE WAS OUTRAGED AND BECAUSE OF THE OWNERS DISHONEST AND TASTELESS MOVE OF "COMBINING" OF DISHES AND GIVING US HALF IN AN ATTEMPT TO MAKE US ORDER MORE FOOD. FRUSTRATED, AFTER HE REFUSED TO BRING US WHAT WE ORDERED, WE HAD TO ORDER MORE DISHES TO GO AROUND. IT WAS ANGERING TO SAY THE LEAST AND WE ALL CONSIDERED WALKING OUT. IN THE END, THE BILL ENDED UP BEING NOT $200, BUT $400 AND THE OWNER DID NOT APOLOGIZE ONCE FOR CHARGING US AND COMBINING PLATES AND BRINGING US HALF THE FOOD. HES AN ABSOLUTE JERK. HE ALSO WENT AHEAD AND ADDED A $50 FLAT TIP TO THE BILL FOR HIMSELF, ABSOLUTE DISBELIEF. THIS GUY SHOULD FRY IN HELL. DO NOT GO HERE EVER. SERIOUSLY. BY THE WAY, THE FOOD ALSO SUCKED. WE ALL KNOW GOOD INDIAN FOOD, AND A DECENT PRICE. THIS PLACE WILL GIVE YOU NEITHER AND THE OWNER IS A TOP NOTCH A**HOLE.

Came here on a Friday lunch at noon for their Indian buffet. First, the place is fairly hard to get to, especially if youre coming from 610 North. Traffic at the Galleria is never fun, and parking once you get to the shopping plaza is also difficult to find at that time. The restaurant doesnt have any windows and a giant wooden door, so it may seem closed with very little visible activity. Once you walk in, you smell savory Indian food, and see the hustle and bustle as people are walking back and forth with plates of food. The place was around 3/4 full so it was easy to get seated with a table of 5. They brought out Naan quickly and kept our water glasses full the entire time. They also repeatedly came by and brought more Naan whenever we ran out (at least 6 times) so the service is quick and efficient. The spread was decent. Mixed greens were fresh and were a good start to the meal. Chutneys were delicious, and went well with the veggie pakoras. The goat curry was by far my favorite, although the bones were a bit of a pain. Chicken Tikka was decent, although I felt like it lacked some flavor. The other dishes were solid as well, including the saag paneer, the eggplant, and some mushroom curry. The Kheer was good, and the mixed fruit at the end was fresh and flavorful. Only real drawback was that food wasnt being brought out as time went on, especially the fruit. Also, the place is fairly pricey... probably on par for the area, but there are other indian buffets for cheaper.

Prior to my last visit, I wouldve given this place 5 stars. During my last experience where I booked a private room, the service and the quality of food were good, (except the mango lassi), similar to my past experiences. What was different on this past visit, however, was the apparent dishonesty of the management. They bombarded my guests with mango lassis. Most people just assumed the drinks were complimentary and accepted them from the servers. It was especially disappointing as the mango lassi tasted bad this time as it was watered down. After looking at the bill, I noticed a 20% surcharge, which I am hoping went to the servers. However, the manager asked me to "give a little extra for the boys". I told the manager he should easily be able to pay "the boys" with the 20% surcharge... I hate when managers put the onus of paying their workers on the customer! Its your job to pay your damn workers... Every time Ive been here, the food has consistently been good. They have the typical North Indian dishes, like chicken tikka masala and saag paneer. The lunch buffet price is reasonable at $15, but the dinner pricing is high at about $25+ per person. For dinner, you can make a trade off on ambience and get same quality of food at lower price if you drive further west on westheimer towards Hillcroft (Biryani Pot, Bawarchi, Himalayas).

My husband and I had Narins Bombay Brasserie cater our Indian wedding of 325 guests in July. Sanjay coordinated with us on two food tastings prior to our event to help us select and finalize our cocktail and dinner menu. He was attentive and listened to our needs. We have family that have special dietary restrictions (Jain, vegetarian and vegan) and he was able to accommodate our requests. He even made sure that those with special dietary needs had their food plated and at their table ready. Our reception dinner was buffet style so for the food to be ready at the table for them was superb. We even bought our own desserts separate from what Bombay Brasserie was already bringing, and after we dropped those items off at the restaurant, he made sure they were setup with the rest of the desserts without any issues. Our venue was tough as it was a warehouse without a kitchen but the Bombay Brasserie team made it work. It was a little difficult to get in touch with Sanjay at times, but be patient. The Narins Bombay Brasserie team are experts in catering in the Houston area and their food is out of this world. Our guests kept raving about the food. It is the most important part of a wedding - especially an Indian wedding! My husband and I were so pleased with everything. I highly recommend Narins Bombay Brasserie to cater your next event.

The food was great, the atmosphere was great; the service and experience was HORRIBLE. I believe it was because we used Groupon coupon, they gave us "low-class" service, other Groupon users have complained also! The waiter set us right next to the thermostat, & while were eating he changed the temp. 3 times, so we had waiter literally reaching across our table barely reaching the thermostat while we were eating out food (sweaty armpits & food dont go together!) I believe they unnecessarily pampered us with useless amenities such as warm hand towels after eating, & THEY ARE THE ONLY RESTAURANT I KNOW THAT CHARGED A $9 SERVICE FEE WITHOUT TELLING US THAT THE "SERVICES" CHARGED A FEE, WE WERE GONNA TIP; BUT THEY DECIDED TO TAKE THE TIP THEMSELVES!! THEY TIP THEMSELVES USING YOUR CREDIT CARD, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE PLACE & CHARGE SERVICE FEES FOR DELIVERING YOUR FOOD TO YOUR TABLE, BASICALLY YOU BECOME THE OWNER & PAY THE WAITERS LOL & they also charged us for the onion & lemon covered in spices (COME ON! who does that!?! seriously? That is included in every Indians dinner!)
