Let me start with the staff was simply great and the service was fast. This was one of the few places with a Pechuga dish on the menu and they didnt disappoint. The one here is Pechuga Gratinada and it is every bit as flavorful as you would expect. The seasoned and grilled chicken breast is placed on a bed of caramelized onions, topped with rough chopped poblano & red bell pepper, and covered with Monterrey Jack cheese. The seasoning on the chicken was very reminiscent of food my mother-in-law cooks. My wife and I should have just split this, but Im glad I got to taste the enchilada plate with seasoned ground beef. The charro beans and rice we a little under seasoned and not very flavorful, but I honestly didnt care. After I tried them, I just didnt go back. However there was plenty of the main course that I didnt feel cheated in the slightest. The tortillas are a bit flat, as in not fluffy. However they did the job and were seasoned properly so again I didnt feel cheated.

We were brought to a table in a corner that wasnt cleaned and still had the previous check lying on it (in which that person left no tip). The waitress never showed up and the hostess in the front of the restaurant eventually took our order, after a bit of prodding. Waited an extraordinarily long time for very simple food, screwed up orders, couldnt remember who ordered what, and felt very unattended to. Compared to other Tex-Mex in the area, the food was subpar. It wasnt bad by any means by certainly nothing special (mine was also a bit cold when it arrived) Had to ask twice before the check arrived and to put the cherry on top, they refused to split it. Terrible experience, clearly understaffed, would never go back.

I end up going here relatively regularly for work lunches because their menu is diverse enough that everyone can find something that they like. None of their food stands out as particularly amazing, most of the flavors are pretty middle-of-the road. Their sweet potato fries are covered in cinnamon sugar, which was weird to me, but not bad. A weirdly specific thing I like here is the buns they use for their burgers.Relatively easy to get a seat. Wait staff is great.

I visit this place often for the breakfast tacos. The tacos will fill you up. In fact, one taco looks like a burrito. My order is as follows, flour tortilla, mexican eggs, bacon, beans, and potato. The taco stand service is awesome and the employees are friendly. The taco stand is near the escalators, which is great because I dont have to enter the park shops for breakfast. I enjoy walking to the stand from my office building a couple of blocks down.

A genuinely euphoric experience, I love this place!!!!! the food here is soooooo sooo so so so good. If youre reading this and even thinking about going somewhere else...DONT. This place has GREAT burgers, awesome drinks and always makes me feel like Im the most important customer in the room. If you go ask Pedro to make you one of his own custom DRINK recipes and prepare to be amazed.

The burger was awsome the fries sucked the sodas sucked did have good draft selection..the service ehh not bad but no personality tho he was smart seeing few guys eating he thought to split our checks without us asking..i have no real cons just no real. Pros either and for 20$ burger 8oz great to im used to having a better time more interaction with service was like a robot.

Talk about a money-grubbing scam! Im puzzled at how this restaurant justifies the prices it tacks on its meals & drinks. What can you do? If youre staying downtown, one becomes somewhat of a captive audience. You could go to the freaking airport to get better priced meals and drinks. Oh well, lesson learned.

Had our college alumni party here. The food was very good. The staff did their best to keep us all with full glasses even though there were multiple alumni parties that night in the restaurant. Definitely a fun place with a truly Texas style atmosphere.

Went there with a family of 5. The food was great, and as Randy commented, the Juicy Lucy is great. Of course the food is pricey, but what isnt in downtown Houston. Im willing to pay if the food is worth it, and it was + the service is good.

Overworked staff. Or underscheduled. Not enough employees on the floor to adequately service dinner hour. Food was decent, but the staff was stretched so thin the experience left much to be desired.

Good service. I had a complicated request and he promptly delivered. The Salas, chili and enchiladas were great. Chips were cold and salsa was mild. Still worth a visit. Great atmosphere also.
