Had an 8:00 PM reservation for 4 people on Saturday 9-24-16. We showed up about 5 minutes early and were promptly informed they were running behind. Waited at the bar till 8:20 and were finally seated at a booth right near the kitchen entrance/exit. Waiter showed up within a few minutes at which point we immediately ordered both drinks, appetizers and our dinner as we had plenty of time to decide on what we wanted while waiting at the bar. Drinks took ten minutes, appetizers took 25 minutes and food was served around 40 minutes after we were seated. Three of use were served our food at the same time. We had to catch the runner and remind him we were missing our fourth dish. He promptly went and got it. A two minute hassle. Some of the food looked like it had been sitting for quite some time while some looked to have been pulled right after it was finished cooking. The food was mediocre at best. The biggest downer was that we all ordered a side of Tuffle Mac N Cheese which was actually pasta in cheese and mushroom water. I blame my lack of sophistication on this horrific mistake as we were all expecting something that was more in line with a traditional Mac N Cheese, not the horrific pasta in cheese water that we ordered. Lesson learned. While the food and service was rather lacking, the restaurant atmosphere was on point. It was nice, with the exception of the plain black t shirts the wait staff wore. Many were not tucked in or needed cleaning. The worst part of this experience (aside from the Truffle Mac N Cheese) was when our waiter put an assortment of shot glasses with deserts in them on our table. After laying out four spoons he placed the tray of deserts down in the center of the table and said "Please let me tempt you with you some desert this evening" he was about to walk off when the question of whether or not these were complimentary came up. They were not. This is pretty much a slap in the face, as it was implied they were complimentary. Whats more is the fact that the deserts that were not eaten by guests were taken back and recycled to be offered to other diners. To be clear, there bringing food out of the kitchen, placing it in front of people and than taking back what they dont eat. Thats disgusting and unsanitary. Unless the food is covered, food that leaves the dining room and is rejected should not be offered to other guests. Other negatives such as the online menu not matching the actual restaurant menu, wait staff that wasnt very knowledgeable and a price point that exceeded the quality of the food served made this a pretty bad experience. All four of our party agreed we would never be going back.

Last night my friend had her birthday dinner at Seasons 52. This is a nice restaurant in the heart of city centre and we expected it to have the best food and best service,we were wrong. Not only did we have to wait until 75%of our party to be completed (we had a party of 20) but we didnt even get sat until 8:15 our reservation was at 7:30. They didnt even have that table ready when we did have a majority of the party present. So we stood around the front and took up a bunch of space waiting for a table that should have already been set. Then our server, Thomas (I think thats his name, hes not very clean cut and has a overgrown beard) did not greet us right away so we sat there for about 10 minutes waiting for a waiter. This was only the beginning, drinks took 30 minutes to come out (ONE shot took 18 minutes) food took even longer, and the best part of it- the waiter brought everyone checks and didnt offer us desert or do anything for my friends birthday. I had asked anther waiter and I got "we usually do something special but Thomas said you needed your checks immediately and closed everyone out" please note that maybe a couple asked for checks but not the whole table and we were in no rush to leave, we wanted to order deserts. Since we were closed out we couldnt order anything but they brought my friend her birthday tower. After it was done the waiter passed the tower around to one side of the table, after that he left, leaving the other side without anything or even offering. Unfortunately we felt as is the waiter, Thomas was relieved from his shift and wanted to kick us out as soon as possible so he could go home. A majority of our dining time we would ask each other"where is our waiter?" All we would have to do is look around and he would be conversing with his friends, standing around a computer and not being attentive to his table. In conclusion, the waitstaff would rather stand around and talk rather then taking care of their tables. A simple hour or so meal turned out to be a 3 hour dissapointing dining experience. I am a server and I understand all of the mistakes, bartenders get backed up as well as kitchen, but even I would be courteous enough to apologize for the inconvenience. Thank you for being inattentive and rude, making the over all experience not enjoyable-considering that Seasons52 was recommended to us, we would rather take our money elsewhere and advise others to do the same.

Party of 4 went here for Restaurant week and while we got our separate meals we did try a little of each others meals. We all agreed that the flatbreads were underwhelming. We even ordered one of the seasonal/premium flatbreads (lobster flatbread). If you primarily like your flatbreads very thin and cracker thin, then these will probably be more up your alley. The baby spinach salad was very light typical of most places. The serving size is enough to satiate you until your entree comes out. The Avocado salad on the other hand is very overpowering and drenched in the dressing that it was very difficult to have more than a few bites. 2 people in our party ordered the filet and requested to have it cooked the same way (medium rare) but one steak came out right and the other very bloody. It was sent back but came out much better. The filet was tasty and juicy and Id definitely order it again. The caramelized scallops werent anything special. They were slightly overcooked and lacked any real flavor, but they came in a good quantity. The area we sat in was very quiet and we could carry conversations no problem. If thats what youd like then ask to get seated in the back. If not you can choose to sit on the main floor where its more bustling and much louder. Servers were very polite although a bit forgetful at times regarding our drinks and silverware. Id probably never come back here as there was nothing that stood out amongst other restaurants. We were a bit deep in the restaurant so the live pianist didnt really add to the ambience and the food wasnt spectacular warranting a re-visit.

I went to Seasons 52 for happy hour, and we ordered a few items each among my group so we could try a little of everything. To start off with the food, most items were okay, but we had the shrimp scampi was a little too salty. The duck wing lollipops had sweet and citrus elements, and was cooked well. The tuna was just slightly over seared and had a chewier than normal texture. The scallops were cooked okay, but in comparison to other scallops Ive had elsewhere, this was not as buttery. For drinks I ordered the mules, and theyre quite light on flavor, and was a bit on the watery side. The service was okay - I dont have complaints about it specifically.Overall it was an okay experience, but if youre looking for happy hour Id suggest to go elsewhere - for the price compared to the food/drinks not worth it.
