Something has really changed with your restaurant. It has been a while since Ive been there but we decided to go again tonight. HUGE mistake. There was a significant issue with the quality of the food, but that was not nearly as bad as the completely unprofessional manner in which the problem was handled. My wife ordered a chicken dish which was prepared with spinach. The spinach had not been washed properly and she filled her mouth with sand / grit from the unwashed leaves. She went to the restroom to clean her mouth and I called the waitress. I told her I wanted to be quiet so as not to embarrass the restaurant and asked that the meal be prepared again. I anticipated that a manager would be over to find out what had happened. But several minutes went by and nothing happened. Finally, the person calling herself the manager on duty did come. At this point I only expected an apology. Instead, she began by assuring me that this kind of thing couldnt ha! ppen here. Some of the grit and sand still remained on the napkin at our table. I didnt react well when she made excuses, and I told her that I thought a concerned Manager would have made a point to get out to the table quickly. Thats when she told me she was too busy. And thats when my wife said that she no longer felt like eating there. I had consumed about half of my meal. I told the Manager that if my wife wasnt able to enjoy her meal then I wasnt interested in finishing either. I asked her to figure out what she thought was fair for the part of the food I had eaten and I would pay for that because I dont ever want to eat and not pay. She wasnt happy with that at all. So she sent someone else with the check. I had only eaten part of my meal, but wasnt about to sit there and let my wife watch me eat. So when the check came, it was for $44 and some change which I couldnt believe. I had to wait for the Manager again and she said basically there wasnt a! nything else she could do. I went ahead and paid. Then I rea! d the receipt carefully and saw that we had been charged for a glass of merlot which we did not order nor was it received. And we had to pay tax for the meal which we didnt eat at all. So now I called the manager again. She could have re-rung the ticket. She could have adjusted for what I didnt eat of my meal as well. But she chose to speak to me in a condescending manner, calling my sweetie this and sweetie that, while telling me that there wasnt anything she could do. She told me I could have the name of the owner and could call him. I dont care to know the name of the owner. I just wanted to pay fairly for the portion of the meal I ate and be done with it. She walked away and returned with cash - which she told me she had taken from the server - to pay for the wine which I did not order nor consume. Im pretty sure thats not the way anyone would fairly treat an employee. I refused the cash. I left paying what I felt was a ridiculous amount of money for t! he upset feeling I received. I tried to suggest that she could have just rung up the ticket again to resolve the issue, and she actually told me that she didnt want me to talk to her anymore, turned her side to me, and tried to speak to my wife. I assured her that I would deal with it the way people vote with their money. I intend to tell everyone I know of this situation. Perhaps your business is good enough that doesnt matter. I intend also to report the food processing issue to the Health Department and the service and quality issue to the BBB. I really dont understand how some person in management with your organization could allow this kind of escalation when all that would have been required was a simple and timely apology in the first place.

Very snazzy place, reminds me of a cartel dealers home lol. I always imagined this place as diner inside. Big Mack was our waiter and he reminded me of a older version of the kid who lived with his parents on That 70s show. Never the less he was a great waiter and polite. Before the meal they serve a French baguette with creamy butter. The baguette was perfectly cooked, not to hard but perfectly crispy. The butter I felt could have used a little garlic or seasoning, but was not bad, just plain. I ordered a rainbow trout with shrimp over sauteed spinach all topped with a lemon butter and it was definitely delicious and not very expensive (19.95), and although the trout by it self tasted a little bland it wasnt bad with everything else seasoned perfectly. My friend ordered the fried crawfish and crawfish etouffe and she loved it and I tried and it wasnt bad, definitely a little over priced at 23.95 , but the amount of fried crawfish tails is where they made it a decent price. Then we had cheese cake with strawberries for dessert and let me tell you people that cheese cake was phenomenal. I dont know where they are getting it but its definitely a jewel, and topped with homemade whip cream and fresh strawberries. I dont even usually choose cheesecake for dessert but I did it for my friend. Thank you God! So all and all this place was better than I thought it would be and way nicer looking. I take a star off because the person in the section next to him walked by several times with a water pitcher while my water was clearly empty and didnt give me a refill. But our waiters service and food was exceptional.

I dont have any problem awarding 5 points to the Pappas Seafood House restaurants. I know that they are a big corporation now and are everywhere. But the Pappas family maintains a level of high quality. Their designers work to make each location look beautiful, in a retro style that might make you think that the restaurant has been there for 50 years. And the kitchen does turn out very fine food. The purpose of this review is to compliment this particular location and share some photos of the seasonal stuffed flounder, which is excellent. Now, growing up on the Gulf Coast, flounder was common choice when dining out at the restaurants of the day, such as Kaphans. Stuffed flounder added a spicy bread or cornbread dressing, with crab and shrimp to the otherwise simply broiled whole flounder. On the east coast, stuffed flounder is just a flounder with some bland crabmeat and shrimp thrown on top. The current Pappas variation is not totally true to the Gulf Coast version. But it is delicious. As seafood has gotten more expensive, I have become particular about where I have mine. I have never been disappointed at a Pappas Seafood Restaurant.

Came in on a Tues evening around 7, not too crowded & it was my first time since Im not a fan of seafood. Walking in looks nothing like the outside, its simply beautiful inside. Dimly lit and a clean restaurant. Our server Logan, was great and attentive & our food and drinks came quick. I ordered the aged 16oz rib eye medium-well, and it came out med-rare... I normally dont complain at restaurants but a bleeding rare steak I cannot stomach. Once brought up to the servers attention, he informed the manager Ethan who came over and quickly had the kitchen fix a new steak, he offered a complementary dessert of my choice and boxed up a whole new meal for me to-go (since our date night was on a time limit). Serving sizes were big! I was very impressed with the customer service and friendliness of the staff. Even the hostess were welcoming- coming and going. They Definitely know how to hire the good ones here! One of the better restaurants in the Webster/Clear Lake area and will be returning
