After looking at great reviews, I thought this place would be great. I was disappointed. The service was great however the food was mediocre at best. My boyfriends dish was tasty enough -except the tasteless dry rice-beans were ok but I ordered fish tacos and got shrimp tacos. It would have sufficed but the shrimp was pathetic. Tiny little pieces of tasteless shrimp. We told the waitress that the order was wrong, she went and got someone else and reordered my fish tacos. The fish honestly tasted like the floor. I couldnt get more than three bits and even spit that out. I hate sending food back because Im always afraid the cook or waitress will mess with it. Then the floor tasting flavor of the fish, dry tasteless rice and beans made this a wrong move experience. My boyfriend told them to take it back and take it off the receipt which they did with no problem but not a real apology either. I knew I would regret not going to Gringos!

Ive been coming here as long as Ive lived in the area (well over two years) and this has been my go to place since the first stop. My boyfriend and I both love anything weve ever tried there (they are great about accommodating my vegan/vegetarian specifications) and we regularly bring friends and family, who are always impressed. The service is great no matter who is taking care of you, but we live to sit with Manuel. He is attentive and makes the dining experience fun and enjoyable. Drinks, food, and service are all A1 in my opinion as a long time server/bartender. Well continue to come here as long as we live anywhere in Houston!

This is very close to my home. The food that I have ordered has been really good. Love the chunky guacamole with a Tecate. (my version of veterinarian type meal. LOL) This is a really fun place to be on Friday and Saturday nights, music and a great crowd in the bar. The first time I stepped foot in this wonderful place, I was made to feel like a revered regular, by the staff, and the patrons. As a caregiver.....sometimes I just have to escape, and when I do, I go to Casa Nueva on Friday night to just have fun.

This is THE hidden gem of the neighborhood! There arent many good places to eat around here and you would barely notice this place unless you were looking for it. I got the tip from a friend who lives nearby and it has become a regular lunch spot ever since. The prices are amazing, they have lunch specials, everything is delicious - and almost every dish comes with a little shell filled with their amazing queso! How could it get any better? Its my favorite place to eat in this area by far.

First Time here and the fajitas were so salty , mentioned to the manager whom is running around and hes like its just the sauce we use. I understand that but did you hear what I said , my food is salty and oily . Maybe just a bad experience but the fact the manager didnt hear my concerns frustrated me. I couldnt even eat it it made me feel sick to the stomache. I will NOT return.

The place was nice and clean, service was good ,quick and accurate , I havent had this good tasting Mexican food in ages, my daughter had the street tacos carne asada, I had the fajita enchiladas I tried both and it was so good. I found this place just by passing by, and Im so saddened by the fact that I probably wont be back, but because Im not from around here.

Takeout horrible. Cheese enchilada nothing but cheese and a tortilla microwaved to cardboard. The literal teaspoon of guacamole passable, but the taco and queso cup so soggy they were also inedible. Even the chips and hot sauce were cooked to death. With good reviews, very disappointed food was so terrible. Shame to have wasted money on an inedible product.

Such a great venue! Delicious authentic Mexican food. Its a great low key location. The margaritas were perfect. Our food came out hot, fresh, and the presentation was lovely. The service was excellent. For five people, our tab came out to less than $60 for food and drinks. I have no complaints. We will be back. Definitely worth checking out.

The lunch specials are very fair. Good food for a low price. Fast service too so you dont spend all your lunch hour waiting on the food. The margaritas are goooood. They have specials on Thursday and Sunday for a $2 Rita. Their service is good too, always attentive. We like going here because the people are nice and the food is good

Had to leave Cilantros Mezican Rest. cause food was so bad. The bulldogs can eat that $15 plate cause i couldnt. Now finally a Mexican place that has real mexican food (flavor and taste). Eating the fajita enchiladas and they ate great. Beans are refried and rice is good. Now i will come here again and enjoy their Margaritas.

Sitting in the restaurant as I type this. So far everything is great. The salsa is delish. I ordered a jumbo Peach Rita...u can taste the alcohol... they dont skimp you. We ordered the street tacos and enchiladas Verdes. the only reason they get 4 stars they only offer two types of agua frescas!!!! besides that...great!

The service was excellent, and the fajita enchiladas were pretty good. The meat inside was cut into tiny pieces, and certainly would have been better had they been larger chunks, cooked medium rare. In short, it is not the same quality as Pappasitos, but it is decent and 30 to 40% less expensive.

This place treats you like crap if you order out. Ill never spend my money with them again. Who charges $2.00 dollars for chips you get for free if you go dine in. The girls at the front are rude as well ,any time you call they act like your a burden. I wouldnt recommend eating here at all.

I go here as often as possible because I do like their food. Everything I have tried, I liked. The portions are filling and usually have left overs. They also have free wi-fi which is always good. I recommend this place and try the fried avocado or the chimichanga, very delish!!

Just gross! Used to go there and thought it was ok but went there recently for nachos and I margarita and regretted it! "Cheese" was out of a can and looked like slop! The margarita had a sick aftertaste like they never clean the machine. Will never go back.

Margaritas are pretty great(strong), service/waitstaff is usually on point only a rare slip up. Chips and salsa are good, food is great, and they have karaoke on Fridays. As any suburb Mexican place lots of families and couples out enjoying the night.

This was my 1st time here, and will not be my last.. I ordered the mix fajitas beef n chicken and it was AWESOME!!!! The steak was tender and the chicken breast was juicy. Also very reasonable and large portions!!! Couldnt ask for more..
